As a breast cancer survivor (went through radiation last year), my thoughts and prayers are with you for a quick and full recovery. We here at the Dis are here for you whenever you need to talk.

Sending you some  and some pixie dust:wizard: to help you through your treatment. I am a survivor and a positive attitude goes a very long way. You are not alone in this fight. :grouphug:
Tomorrow I start my radiation treatment for thyriod cancer. I was okay until today. Now I'm starting to get nervorus. :scared: Thank goodness for the DIS! I can pretend I'm back in Disney again! :wizard:

Kathy,
Hugs and prayers sent your way.

I had the Radiation via a pill 7 years ago for my thyroid. I had a 10 month old at the time, and I couldn't see him for a week. It was hard. At least you'll have a few podcasts to look forward to this week. Pamper yourself.

Let us know how you're doing.

Kathy, good thoughts and pixiedust: pixiedust: as you go thur radiation.
:flower3:

Wow! Thank you for all of the support! It really does help. I am so touched. I will keep everyone updated and I will definitely be on the boards a lot over the next week. I also can't wait to hear the show this week. I got to pick a number from the prizematron from the DWFB meet. I will listen to the show as soon as I'm done on Wednesday. That will be something to look forward to!

Pixie dust and good thoughts going your way!!

Happy thoughts your way, and here's to picking a GREAT number!pixiedust:

Ohhhh that's right...you wanted to wait until Kevin and John were back. I hope it's a great number Kathy (and remember our master plan -- you can't use up all your sick time now...you have to save some for May!!!). :teeth:

My thoughts and prayers are with you....and I sure hope you pick a great number on the prize matron!:)

my Nana had lung cancer. I remeber picking up her medications for her and just sitting with her after her Chemo. It was aweful...I personally have never had cancer but I saw what it does to people and their families. Before my nana passed she was cancer free for 3 yrs. It was amazing being able to go sit with her without feeling so sorry for her... i got to have my funny loving nana back. Once it is over its over. I don't know much about thyroid cancer and pill radiation but I hope it gets you 100% better so that you can go be with your little one! You ar in my thoughts.... think positive! Once it is over I think you should start planning a celebration trip to WDW as a surivior!

OK, one day down. Today was the easy day. I also saw the scan machine. It didn't look too bad. I finished my blood work and shot by 11 so I took my daughter to the zoo. We had a lot of fun. I think she expected to see her favorite Small World dolls when we got on the zoo monorail. No such luck. Tomorrow I begin the radiation itself.

I'll be thinking about you tomorrow. I'm glad you got to go to the zoo with your daughter today. What a nice way to spend the day and get your mind off "stuff".

Big hugs and lots of pixie dust to you! :wizard:

Hi
So glad it went okay today. I wanted to wish you the VERY BEST tomorrow, you will be in my thoughts and in my prayers tonight. My own follow up was today, nerve wracking but the tests come back thursday and everything looks very good so far. POSITIVE thoughts....................sending some GOOD VIBES YOUR WAY**************

I hope you'll update us and come back for some "support" when you need it....we will ALL be listening...besides YOU'RE a NY'er, you're Tough, YOU CAN DO ANYTHING (only a fellow NY'er can say that, LOL)!!!
Be Well and GOOD LUCK!!!!

Thinking of you.....keep us posted.

Think about sitting in the lobby of the WL and the music.

You're in my prayers! I have a friend that went through the same thing about 7 years ago so I know what you're going thru is tough. But keep thinking about that sweet family of yours and the treatment will be a distant memory before you know it.

Fingers crossed for a great prize from the prizematron!!!

 Please accept my sincere concern. I just went through this with my mother  and my brother - who is back to being as onery as ever - thank goodness; even though he is 46.
