You are in my thoughts and sending you tons of pixie dust.

Kathy,

Prayers and pixie dust are coming your way! You'll be in our thoughts. :goodvibes

Radiation always sounds scarry but don't be. It may make you tired but it does have a lot of side effects otherwise. Science has really progressed on this. The scan machines may seam scary as they do their work but they are harmless. They don't give off any rays or anything like that. They only scan you. You will hear the motors going as the machine moves but that's all. It's really just a camera like any other camera.

I used to work on the machines and was scanned several times.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you

We will pray for you. My wife is a cancer survivor at the age of 40 and has been through what you are about to go through so we sympathize and empathize. You will make it through and we will be with you in thought as well.

It's been about a year now that I finished my 35 radiation treatments. After chemo, I found radiation to be a breeze. I missed absolutely no work other than the time each day when I was gone for the treatment. Good luck.

Kathy, My radiation was from a machine, so I don't know about the fatigue in your case. I would ask your doctor about that. I'm sorry you will have to be away from your little one. Take care of yourself so you can take care of her later.

Kim

Prayers, good thoughts and a :grouphug: coming your way!!!

Good luck with your treatments.:thumbsup2 I will be praying for you and you will be in my thoughts.

Kathy you will be in my thoughts - sending you lots of

i didn't know about this either...
good luck with it.......you'll be tired and possibly lose your appetite a bit...
so it's important that if you feel like having something - like you really want to go to the ihop for pancakes or the dairy queen for a banana split, or whatever - go for it........
eat when you feel like eating....now is not the time to worry about weight gain....the calories are more important for your strength....

and we are all here for you (to the extent that a virtual world can be supportive)...

Sending thoughts, prayers and pixie dust. Log on here to talk to all of us if you get loney!!

All my thoughts and prayers go out to you. I hope it goes easy for you.

Hi Kathy. I just said a prayer for you. I am a two (2) time breast cancer survivor, so I know some of what you will be going through. I am not going to lie, I was scared both times. However, having a good support system really does do wonders. :grouphug:

I can say it really does change your outlook on life, and makes you focus on what is truly important.

You will get through this, and you will be fine. "We can do all things through God that strengthens us." Plus, your little one will be waiting for you.princess:

When you finish, take a trip to WDW to celebrate. :woohoo: This is one DISer who is praying and cheering:cheer2: for you.

Happened to see the thread and just want to send HUGS and PIXIE DUST and PRAYERS your way.
A Breast Cancer Survivor here and I KNOW the stress of it all. I actually have my own follow up at Memorial Sloan Kettering tomorrow and I am stressing myself, despite having been thru this many times before. Its just difficult!

Stay Strong.... One Day At A Time..... and remember that YOU'RE doing ALL this hard work so you can to be there for your own precious child! YOU CAN DO IT!!

God Bless!
