Starring rolls closing

The biggest issue I'm seeing here is that this leaves no QS at DHS for breakfast.

There are breakfast items at Trolley Car Cafe

While that's true, they're they same breakfast items available at my local Starbucks. It's really not a QS breakfast - it's a Starbucks sandwich. The fact that the park doesn't have some sort of place open for breakfast options not named Starbucks or Hollywood and Vine is really sad. My family went to DHS today and had we not waited in line for Star Tours, would have been done by 11:00AM. Thanks to that wait, we were done by 11:30. That in itself is sad.

Do the other parks have QS breakfast locations? We don't do QS much so I'm not sure. Nothing jumps out at me. I know Casey's tried a few things for breakfast but I thought they stopped

Epcot has the seasons in the land pavilion.

MK has the overpriced BOG. Sunshine seasons and the France pavilion are both open for breakfast in Epcot.

Kusafiri Coffee Shop in DAK also has breakfast selections.

As of this week I believe Casey's and the Ice Cream parlor still have QS (and of course BOG). Sunshine seasons and the France pavilion are both open for breakfast in Epcot.

Wow, ok. Reports I read were the both stopped after a week and hadn't been back. I hope so, we wanted the hot dog at Casey's. I didn't consider BOG as it takes an ADR
The coffee shop seems along the same exact lines as Trolley Cafe.

Sorry I was wrong. I THOUGHT I saw it but apparently did not and I went back and checked menus online I don't see it. I've edited my original post. Sorry to get your hopes up!

LOL.. no problem. I think they do have the hash brown hot dog at lunch too. We usually do TS for lunch. One of these days we'll have to make an exception for DH to try the hot dog

No joke though just to add to my confusion - I just saw someone post an Instagram of their breakfast at MK and it was the one from the Ice Cream Parlor. So, maybe there's a chance for you @AngiTN !

Trolley Car Cafe had pretty much everything Starring Rolls had for breakfast two weeks ago when my wife ate there...and a lot more.

Menu on allears.net reflects an enormous selection of pastries and breakfast sandwiches.

I don't ever remember SR having anything other than muffins, pastries, bagels, croissants, etc for breakfast...all of which can be bought at TTCC.

This is so odd. Have they ever done something like this before where they close a restaurant on such short notice with no replacement and no plans for renovation in the works?

An engineering issue (like the construction ones stated earlier) would explain the last-minute announcement, but barring an issue like that I don't know why the urgency. It's not like they JUST figured out that DHS isn't getting the foot traffic it once did; it's an "only if we have time" park until these other lands open, and it has been for some time now.

I like to "trust the process" when it comes to Disney decisions but ones like this make me go, "but whyyy?!"

Supposedly it's temporary. No word on replacement. The main reason was proximity to Starbucks.

I read that Starring Rolls at Hollywood Studios is rumoured to be closing and wondered if it's true and if so when. Really gutted as we always enjoyed sitting in the patio area whilst having a light lunch and/or coffee, do you think we could start a petition to keep it open?

You are too late

It's too bad it closed. I definitely preferred it over the overpriced Starbucks junk. I missed by one day getting one more visit in. Thank goodness for joffreys. For the time being will have to grab something before hitting DHS.
