Replies later. But some news on the air conditioning. They came out again this morning and replaced the circuit for $200. They believe this will buy us another year and we will have to replace the air conditioner/furnance next year for around $5000. So we wills tart putting money away now so we have it in time for next spring. So keep those fingers crossed this does the trick for a year.

AWESOME!! Course, as I mentioned on my ptr... I am a bit jealous you even need the ac right now. I wondering if I might want to turn my space heater on I am so cold today.

You know we'll keep everything possible crossed!!! Good news about the temp fix! :goodvibes

Glad you will have some AC this summer - although the last couple days we haven't really needed it too much. Don't imagine it's been too much warmer up your way, especially with all the storms coming through.

My daughter-in-law is up that direction visiting her family - her dad had surgery this week - and her sister that she is staying with lost power over night a couple days ago.

happy to hear your AC is working! hope the fix will last a long time!!!

Kathy I sure hope this will buy you the time you need to replace your HVAC...:hug::hug: for that to work out for you. With all of us sending you Pixie Dust...I hope the results are long lasting! :goodvibes:goodvibes

I just found out It's Tough to be a Bug will be closed August 15 - September 30. I am NOT happy about this at all -- it is one of my favorite shows.

Okay, now back to repsonses.

Hi Kat! I wanted to wish Mark a Happy Father's Day! :goodvibes Did you all have a nice day? I hope so.

No A/C? Oh honey, that's just not right! Are you sweltering? Ugh, I hate being warm while I'm trying to sleep. :headache: Keep those fans going 24/7!!

Thanks, Molly from Mark. Andy cooked for his dad and that was nice. AC is back (at least for now).

Hi Kathy,

First Happy Father's day to Mark!! How nice of Andy to get Mark (and you) MNSSHP tix! I know you have gone before so you know it is so much fun.

Have to get caught up with your TR (been really busy, working and trying to figure out our summer plans). Went to see the Harry Potter exhibition in NYC this Saturday - we had a great (but tiring) day! :goodvibes
J

Janet, Mark says thanks very much!

Hi Kathy!! Found my way over to your PTR, haven't read yet, it's kinda long already!!! You got LOTS of followers!!! I do agree that the dis people are the best you can have!! and Mary's little girls are REALLY cute!! I rode splash with the little one in March I believe it was, or early April. Mary was here with Leanne, I love Leanne's girls too!!! Shoot, I just love kids in general. I wish I could have 5 more....but not in the stars for me. I gotta check your dates, maybe Chris and I can pop over and meet you guys, we've done that for lots of people, and have met some awesome new friends!!!

Welcome. Thanks for joining. Hope you enjoy it (there is a lot of banter with a lot of nuts...I won't mention any names).

We can't wait to meet you guys and we have had a slight change of plan in that we don't have to rush off to Artist Point that night (have changed ADR's all will be explained in the PTR) so hopefully we get to stay a little longer than planned :)

Stefy, can't wait to hear about the change.

Happy Fathers Day ( a little late) to Mark! :goodvibes

Thanks, Shannon.

I love your Nicki shopping day! It's always so much fun! And, of course, I love your dinner plans. YUM!

I love our shopping days too. She's already making plans of where we are going.

Happy Father's Day to Mark! Your shopping day sounds great!

Thanks, April.

since the asian places that cook in front of you are so popular, do you think it would work for me to open a place that has lawn chairs and paper plates...

and the cooks are using a charcoal grill in front of you and your beer is in an aluminum can and a coozy?

Dan, you are quite the character, aren't you? How about the answer is yes if you have some games to go along with it? How about "Pin the Tail on Marv?" :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Kathy, Stopped by to say HI and read the witty repartee of your faithful readers, makes me smile. :goodvibes I am so sorry about your A/C and the furnace, I wish there was an easy fix! I pray it isn't too unbearable where you are...of course, it IS summer...:grouphug::hug: I hope you are having a wonderfully happy day, you deserve that! :goodvibes

Thanks, Judy (sorry I'm late...you already know it is fied...at least for now).

We love Cape May dinner buffet - so glad you got an ADR there! :cool1::woohoo::banana: Woo-hoo on the MNSSHP tickets! A great present! Your girls day sounds great! That stinks about the central air - maybe you can get a small window unit for the bedroom to take the edge off.

Your trip is getting so close!!! :cool1::banana::yay:

Thanks, jenb. We've not been to Cape May since they put the crab legs on and I really LOVE me crab legs.

Hi Kathy ...I just caught up...Your day with Nikki sounds great. really. There is nothing better than a relaxing day chatting and hanging with a BFF.

I was just trying to come up with a way to take a girls trip (me, dd and bff) to WDW...it would be so awesome.

MaryEllen, you should take a girls only. If my DH didn't love Disney so much and wouldn't get ticked at me, I'd do a girls only trip myself (although I'm mad at him right now so maybe I'll leave him home ).

Airfare is booked-got a great deal. No turning back now. Lace up those sneakers!!!!

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This makes me so happy. Now no more household items breaking down and we should be all set.

Hi Kathy, stopping in. It's been a long time since I've been DISing. I'm trying my best to catch up. I see there is lots going on your PTR. :)

Not sure if someone asked or if you've mentioned yet - but will you and Mark be dressing up for MNSSHP? Did I tell you that my fiancee and I dressed up as Lucy and Charlie Brown last year? It was such a super easy costume for him because he just picked up a yellow shirt and drew lines on it. I found a plain blue dress and sewed some black buttons on the top. The CM's loved it - all night long they went out of their way to say 'Hi Charlie Brown, Hi Lucy'. I'm guessing they were happy it wasn't a disney costume. Just giving you an idea. :)

Bummer about the A/C. I'll be hoping that maybe your area will have more of a cooler summer than usual.

Hi, Crissy. I've missed you. No, Mark doesn't like dressing up. I think we are just getting pirate hats at the POTC ride and we'll wear them to the party.

Checking in from St. Augustine!

I'm so sorry to hear about your AC. Too bad they couldn't get a temporary fix to work. Sending cool thoughts your way!

Thank you. I didn't realize you were on a trip (it explains why you've not been updating); glad you are back.

Just stoppped by to say Hi and Good Morning!!! :flower3:

Hope you have a Great Day! :goodvibes

Hi, Marv. Hope you have a good weekend.

That's great news Kathy! At least you won't have to go all Summer without any air conditioning. I don't know what kind of Summer weather you have in your neck of the woods but people actually die from no air conditioning here in Louisiana. At least now you have some time to save up the money to replace the old air conditioner and furnace.

Thanks, Lisa. If we just can keep it working through this year, we can save up for the new system next year.

Fingers and toes crossed! I hope you have the same success we did with a temporary fix. Our heater has been out of commission for 5 years, but the air conditioner has help up all these years since the fix. We can live without a heater in Fl, but not without an air conditioner. We need our whole unit replaced too.

Thanks; I've got everything crossed too.

Crossing all my crossables for you Kathy! We had to replace our system last year, our electric bills are much lower now with the newer more efficient unit, so there is a bit of a silver lining!

Thanks, Michelle. Have you started your TR?

Great news! Everything is crossed for you that it holds out!

Thanks, jenb.

Glad you got the tempoary fix for the a/c !!! We would really like to get a new furnace and a/c unit, have to wait and see if we can afford it for next year!!!

Thank you, my friend.

good luck and hope that works for you.
:thumbsup2:wizard:

Thanks, Dan. If it doesn't work, I could always hire Marv to blow air. Oh wait, that would be hot air, not cold.

AWESOME!! Course, as I mentioned on my ptr... I am a bit jealous you even need the ac right now. I wondering if I might want to turn my space heater on I am so cold today.

Thank you, Ann. We've been fortunate. Both days it went out it was like 85 - 90 degrees; but then we got a cool spell and it wasn't the end of the world. We had a couple of rough nights with the humidity, but the new tower fan we bought helps.

You know we'll keep everything possible crossed!!! Good news about the temp fix! :goodvibes

Thanks, Christine.

Congrats on the ac news. I hope it holds you over for at least a year!!

Me too; I was so happy that I went and bought the Urchins presents to bring with us in September. :)

My daughter-in-law is up that direction visiting her family - her dad had surgery this week - and her sister that she is staying with lost power over night a couple days ago.

You are right, Tanya, it really hasn't been totally necessary to use it.

I hope the power is back on for everyone (most of the people around here now have it back).

Good news on the ac!

Glad to hear about your AC!!!

Thanks Lessa and Karin.

happy to hear your AC is working! hope the fix will last a long time!!!

Me too, Lisa. I'm already shuddering over what it will cost next year. But we aren't planning a Disney trip in 2012 so it should be a little more bearable.

Kathy I sure hope this will buy you the time you need to replace your HVAC...:hug::hug: for that to work out for you. With all of us sending you Pixie Dust...I hope the results are long lasting! :goodvibes:goodvibes

Thanks, Judy. I am hoping you get good news soon on your AC.

:yay: for A/C, but sorry about It's Tough to be a Bug. (There's always next time!)

Thanks, Glen. Yeah, I'm happy about the AC too (especially since we have a heat wave coming again early next week). Yes, I guess we'll have to wait until 2013 for It's Tough to be a Bug. But this year I get to do Tower of Terror so that helps lift my spirts. :)

2013???? That seems so long. :) We have to get you back here sooner than that. ;) (Just teasing, I know you gotta save up for the next trip).

We'll be in Florida in 2012...just not Disney. I'll go on Mark's business trip with him and we'll spend a couple of days in Naples at the end and then we'll do Marco Island again in September (we don't pay for anything but food in Marco and the airfare). I've go to save for the air and furnance, plus in 2013 we are plannning on a three week trip -- Disney Dream, Disney World and Marco for our 30th wedding anniversary and Mark's 60th birthday.

:sad2: I hate it when things are closed that I would wan to ride.

What an awesome trip and celebration that will be!!!

Kathy, sorry to hear your AC went out (but saw it is fixed now), and hoping that it will last you until you can replace.

Also sorry to hear ITTBAB will be closed. While its soo not my favorite attraction ... :scared1: ... I understand how it feels to have to miss out on something you love. My fingers are crossed that they're just kidding and will have it open in time for your trip.

Yes, it's a shame "It's tough to be a bug" being closed when you visit. It will be only open one day during our visit, so we'll see IF we will see it. ;)

But so happy you are considering a really long vacation in 2013 - maybe, if you travel early enough we might even have a chance to meet!
