We've only stayed at SSR once before in the CP section. I requested this section again as we had a beautiful view of DTD and I loved being able to walk to the DTD bus depot area to catch a bus to another resort for dinner.

OK, so now I understand the DTD stop will be closed for refurbishment while we're there which is one of the main reasons we liked the CP section. So, now I'm debating to changing my request to The Springs location to be closer to the main area in SSR instead.

I was also wondering how long of a walk it might be from the Springs area to the boat dock or to the PI walkway. I would imagine it would still be a pretty long walk if we're in the furthest area. Or should we just stick with CP and drive over the tennis courts and park there instead and then walk from there (or catch the boat)??

I guess this is more of a "what would you do" kinda question....:) I realize area requests aren't guaranteed.

Also, in what order do the buses within SSR loop around once they enter? Does it make a difference which park they go to or do they all pretty much follow the same route?

So for you SSR pros, can you help me out?? THANKS in advance...;)

We were in the Springs building closest to the middle pond overlooking the pond in front of the Paddocks if that makes sense. We loved the area. Probably a 2-3 min walk to the main pool/bus.
We walked to the boat dock a couple times on our last trip. I would say pushing two strollers, it took us about 7-10 minutes walking back to our room. We took the path rear the tennis courts and would walk in front of the preview center to get to our room or go to the dock. I wouldn't say it was a pretty walk since it was mostly on streets, but not bad at all.
The buses would go to the Springs then carousel, paddocks, CP and then Springs. To go to a park we would take the Springs bus, coming back we would get off at the Paddocks and walk across the bridge to the Springs. It's a very peaceful resort, and we never minded walking places.

Bus loop...

Buses to parks...

Grandstand
Carousel
Paddocks
Congress Park
Springs

When I stayed in the Springs section it took about 12-15 mins to walk to DTD Westside taking the LBV pathway.
