thanks for joining in, always glad to have new readers.

Glad you enjoyed the brisket-theirs is my favorite and we cook brisket alot here in the south! Hope y'all had a great time for Candi's birthday!
it was really good, we were at a friends house last night and he had his smocker, out it has me wanting to get a little one to try it out...he trying to talk me into a big one, but i just want a small one to see how we like it,and how much we use it.

how do you make your brisket?

Me too !!!!:banana::banana:
thanks rose, i will pass it along.

:thumbsup2

mmm that sounds good, cant pass up a good breakfast skillet

hmm, have never seen the ohana breakfast either.

will have to look for a picture of that as well.
Tried to find you one on my photopass account, but nothing that really shows the skillet/food. Since it is a character breakfast, most all of my pictures involve that aspect. I guess my next trip I need to do a better job of focusing on the food! My boys would go to Ohana for breakfast every trip just for that wonderful juice they serve! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Joining in!!! I made my way over here from glennbo's TR. I have to say that your little man is just too cute!!! My DD (who is 2.5) says "aww, him is sooo cute"! I'm off to go finish catching up! Looking foward to more!

My dad loves his smoker! He built one in the backyard big enough to smoke a whole pig! :worship: Not sure what the rub consist of that he uses but he rubs the brisket down then smokes it for 8-10 hours. He uses flavored wood chips for the smoker. (oak or hickory) Try taking it out a couple of hours before its done and wrap in aluminum foil and finish in the oven-makes it a little more tender than leaving it on the smoker the entire time. Add whatever bbq sauce you like. That with some homemade red rice, baked beans and tater salad sounds yummy right now! :teeth:

I just found your TR. I've enjoyed your past ones, so I was glad to have found this one :) It's hard to believe how big your son has gotten! Looking forward to the next update!

Happy Belated Bday Candi!!

Can't wait to read next update :surfweb:

Chapter 6. The Smurfs hit Epcot.

We woke up at 6:45 to get everyone ready for our first park day, parker sprang out of bed like he was rip roaring ready to go. which he was.

everyone was ready by about 7:15 and done eating. it was time for parkers first mickey suprise delivered by tinkerbell while we slept.

here is the photo i took while my dad was taking that last one.

what did he get, well he got his tube of glow sticks and a card game to play with.

you can see them a little better here.
DSC01471.jpg

we got outside to head to the bus stop and there was donald waiting to greet us, well not donald actually but one of his relatives waiting.
DSC01473.jpg

we had some bread to throw out so this lucky little fellow recieved it, parker enjoyed throwing it to him, and candi even held one out and he took it from her hands.

Parker and nan smurf walking to the bus stop just outside our camploop...

This is also the location of where i learned three important lessons later that night about 11:00ish.

And parker joined forces with nana smurf and papa smurf to cross the road.

We arrived at Epcot shortly after 8:00 and were one of the first few people in line to get in the gates...the wait went pretty fast, between parker being entertained with the brochurs and watching the monorails arrive the time flew.

They let us in and we flew to the right side of the space ship earth, i was up at the rope drop with maybe 20 other people around me...we secured our spot and had a nice CM take a picture of the 5 smurfs who were to invade epcot for the day.

we did not plan this out at all...let me explaine...candi got our clothes,(mine, parker, and hers) out for the day and we got dressed, me and candi had the matching shirts from a past trip, and she put the same color on parker for the day, it wasnt until we were all outside feeding the duck that we noticed my parents had on the same color as us.

we just let it go and thought it was pretty funny.

shortly after arrival the test track car came out and the characters all arrived.

being right up on the rope many of them started with our area first mickey came by to say hi.

then minnie showed up.
DSC01489.jpg

he wasnt real sure on them yet, he liked them but we had to talk him through it a little bit.

we figured that instead of sending everyone with the masses to get soarin fast passes.

hey that kinda rymes together.

anyway, me and dad just went off to get them. candi mom and parker went to wait by the character connection for us to get back. we made out way up pretty fast and around with the group and past the CM's that work at sunshine seasons and there big acme size hands.

DSC00803.jpg

our return time was just over an hour away for soarin.
DSC00804.jpg

so it was time to head back up and meet the rest of the group at character connection to get some character interaction and pictures.

those are coming up next, i dont have any more time today to add to this update, so sorry it is short, but will be back with more soon.

and sorry everyone that this took a while to type but had that vacation and have been very busy since we got back to do another update.

Coming up next, parkers reaction with the characters in epcot.

Love his Mater socks! :) So funny you all dressed in blue! I'm sure everyone was thinking you planned it. :)

I love the Tinkerbell surprises...what a great idea!

You guys looked good in your matching blue...too funny you didn't actually coordinate it!

I like the Smurf blue shirts. It really does make it easier to find each other in the crowds when you wear bright matching shirts.

Don't you love how friendly the animals are in Disney? We watched a squirel go into someones pocket looking for food in DTD and another one in Epcot. He just helped himself.

Loving your report! I want to collect the character cars after seeing your photos of them. You can never be too old to play with cars, right?

Love the update! I have to ask, where did you get the matching shirts? Were they just iron ons? If so, where did the design come from? I love them!!

Hi Dan, I love the blue shirts-especially since it was not planned! I hope you had a good week and Candi had a happy birthday.

Smurf Clan looks fabulous! So what? You're all in blue- BIG DEAL! It's fun to have silly stuff happen randomly like that!

Sounds like you had a good plan to send some this way, and some that way. :thumbsup2

Hmmm..... lessons learned later on?? WHat could they be??

Hey, it's Disney. It never hurts to ask! :thumbsup2
Yeah, I can relate. The same thing happened to me at that age........ (okay Glenn, I can't toss one up any softer for you!)

As if you could even remember it at this point. :sad2: (hows that?)

Unbelievable that you guys all wore the same color that day, unplanned!

Way to get there for rope drop. :thumbsup2

Parker looks like he's not too sure about Mickey.
