Squirts, Shirts, and Flirts, The Legend Continues 2 weeks in FW(wrap up #2 new 11-17)

I was sure y'all planned the shirts until you said different! Looks like Parker had to warm up to the characters! He didn't look too sure about Mickey!

Love his Mater socks! :) So funny you all dressed in blue! I'm sure everyone was thinking you planned it. :)
he loves them as well, he wears them all the time.

i think they did.

I love the Tinkerbell surprises...what a great idea!

You guys looked good in your matching blue...too funny you didn't actually coordinate it!
we stole it from someone on here, i forget who, but it worked out good he enjoyed opening gifts each morning.

I like the Smurf blue shirts. It really does make it easier to find each other in the crowds when you wear bright matching shirts.

Don't you love how friendly the animals are in Disney? We watched a squirel go into someones pocket looking for food in DTD and another one in Epcot. He just helped himself.
this it does, helps without forgetting what the others in your group are wearing.

i have a squirrel in the next update i think.

Great update Smurfs !!!!!:rotfl2:
thanks rose.
:)

Loving your report! I want to collect the character cars after seeing your photos of them. You can never be too old to play with cars, right?
they are pretty cool designs, and they are not that expensive for disney. i hope they keep coming out with new designs and characters.

Love the update! I have to ask, where did you get the matching shirts? Were they just iron ons? If so, where did the design come from? I love them!!
we got them like 3 years ago for a trip, and they were that years design on disneystore.com

but i have seen a few people here on the dis who make designs like those on the creative board..im sure they could make you something like that for an iron on.

Hi Dan, I love the blue shirts-especially since it was not planned! I hope you had a good week and Candi had a happy birthday.
thanks, we did have a good trip and alot of fun good relaxing hanging at the beach and wine sampling.
:thumbsup2

Smurf Clan looks fabulous! So what? You're all in blue- BIG DEAL! It's fun to have silly stuff happen randomly like that!

Sounds like you had a good plan to send some this way, and some that way. :thumbsup2

Hmmm..... lessons learned later on?? WHat could they be??
it is true, many families wear the same shirts or colors in the parks, so we did not feel bad...it worked good that way during the trip to split up for some stuff.

very good and funny lessons learned if i say so myself.

Unbelievable that you guys all wore the same color that day, unplanned!

Way to get there for rope drop. :thumbsup2

Parker looks like he's not too sure about Mickey.
we are a rope drop kinda family. yeah he was not that sure of him, but did good with them in the character connection.

I was sure y'all planned the shirts until you said different! Looks like Parker had to warm up to the characters! He didn't look too sure about Mickey!
i bet alot of people thought that.

yeah it was his first up close one this trip, so he was feeling it out a little bit.

So Dan what was the color of the day the nexy day????:rotfl2:
ummm, im going with flesh color, since we went to the water park on day 2.
:goodvibes

Aw, great update! Love your boy's socks. Too cute!

And I love the personal greetings from Mickey and Minnie at rope drop. What amazing memories!!!

Dan, what a great update! Since it doesn't appear anyone noticed, let me be the first to say I really like the way you guys planned wearing the same color shirts like that.:)

Really like the pictures of Parker and I've got to get a pair of socks like that for my next Disney trip! How cool to be right up front at RD and have the great photo ops of Parker with Mickey and Minnie!

As if you could even remember it at this point. :sad2: (hows that?)
:( You must be getting mellow in your old age. I have to give you a bloop single for that one. I was really expecting a glennbo grand salami after I served that one up for you! :sad2:

A great start to your day - gotta try to be right up on the rope at Epcot one of these days! We finally saw our first "opening show" this trip, but it was at MK. Looks like Parker was having fun already! Can't wait to see what those life lessons were....

I forgot to comment on that...I noticed the socks too, I thought they were waaaay cool!

I think your assessment is right on. It was kind of a lackluster effort, I admit. But, it is hard to hit 'em over your head when everyone's playing deep, expecting the home run ball.

Sounds like a cop-out, but for some strange reason I like your line of reasoning/thinking, so I give at least THAT part a :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

As in NAKED!!!!!:scared1::scared1::rotfl2::rotfl2:
Nope, not naked! It's a water park and they didn't want to get wet, so they all wore matching clear plastic raincoats! :lmao:

thanks, too bad they dont come in big people sizes.

they were very good interaction and we had good video of it, a few more came over right before the drop, but we dont have pictures of those.

thanks, i cant believe no one commented on the shirts yet, you get points for being the first one.

maybe you could get the biggest size of kids socks they sell in thoes, and then, just keep stretching them out more and more.

we love the RD and opening shows, great way to get into the parks, i would say we hit about 98% of rope drops over the last 10 years.

they are pretty good ones, just hvae to get through the whole epcot day to get there.
:surfweb:
Great update and too funny about the shirts
thanks, hopefully the next update will be a little more exciting with some action.

As in NAKED!!!!!:scared1::scared1::rotfl2::rotfl2:
certainly.

im thinking you can up that single into a stolen second base for glenn.

nice clear plastic raincoats.
:rotfl:

Geez - I think in pictures!!! Imagine the mental image that comment created. :scared1: :rotfl:  :lmao:
so lets see i was going to line up those smiley faces with the image of each person in our group but i dont think i will since, it appears they are all laughing and the first one is shock...so we will just leave that one there.

Just what are you saying Dan????? :confused3

Okay, but I hope Glenn realizes it is only because you asked nicely for him!

Can you imagine how many pictures Glenn would have taken if he was invited to "that" party??? :rotfl2:

Speaking of Smurfs, did you hear there is going to be a Smurf movie next year.. So excited

Ok, back to your TR....that is funny you all matched and didnt meant to

Hope Parker warms up to the character

Guess we wil have to wait and see what happened at Character Connection

I didnt know Epcot did any kind of opening show.

I guess if I liked mornings, I might have have

La la la la la la la la la la la.....ok I'm singing the Smurf song now. Can't believe that wasn't planned.:thumbsup2

I so wish my family had been like yours & been the rope drop kind, but you have to blow my family out of bed. Eric is an early riser but we only got to our first rope drop at MK this past Oct....we have been to MK before opening lots of times for breakfast at Crystal Palace though.

Ready for more blue Smurf adventures......;);););)

Those matching t-shirts are really funny! And Parker is a lighter blue because he still has to grow up? :goodvibes

I am a rope drop person as well and I really like the Epcot show. While it isn't as impressive as at the MK, but what can be better than to start the day at the park with a high five from Mickey himself?? :goodvibes

haha, im not saying anything.

glad i could back glenn up, and im thinking he would buy an extra memory stick just to make sure he did not run out of room.
:lmao:

LOVE the smurfs!!! It's even better that it wasn't planned!
thanks, we have another matching day later on, but that one was planned.
;)

Only if he asked me to. ;)
that a boy glenn, plausible deniability

even at home we really dont sleep in, we are usually up before 8 even on the weekends, it also helps that we get alot of stuff out and ready the night before so we pretty much just have to get up and get dressed and eat something.

that is funny i like it about parker, still getting his blue so he is not all the way there.

:lmao:this is true, only rope drop, you can reach out and touch the characters before you get into the park...i know that some of them come down for meet and greets at MK, but not the popular ones do right?
