Squeaky Shoes

I just picked up my custom ordered cross-trainers with orthotic insoles, and they squeak like crazy, even on carpet! I can't return them because of the orthotics and the squeak is really getting on my nerves (and the rest of the family, too).

I googled and found some tips including using lotion, vaseline, chapstick, tape, etc. but I am reluctant to use something that will soak into the insole. Chaptstick is looking like my best option. Any suggestions?

I'd contact the person who made them for their suggestions before I would put anything on them.

That does sound annoying for you! I agree with the pp to contact where you got them and ask them what you can do about it. Even chapstick could ruin your shoes.
