Spring Break ?

We have never been spring break but are looking at a M-W or T-Th trip as we are going to visit family in Ft Myers & have AP (this is the ONLY reason as I'm sure crowds are crazy). Any chance of getting a VALUE @AK or STD @ BW for just a couple of nights or is this totally unavailable?

I'm not even sure that I WANT to spend points so we may just stay at a DD hotel if I can get a GOOD deal. When should I look for such deals? Any thoughts? We are going in 2 weeks so I didn't know if there were any bounceback deals in the rooms right now.

Chances of getting AKV value or BWV standard are very slim to none, IMO. If you are talking about the week before or after Easter in 2010, then I think the chances are virtually zero. Perhaps OKW or SSR might be available since they are larger resorts. Point cost of OKW is comparable to BWV standard (could be slightly less).

You never really know until you call. Availability and waitlists change often.

MS is open now. Call and see. Book if you find something available. Unless you are up against a banking deadline, you can cancel without penalty as long as you do it at least 31 days prior to arrival.

Just last week I booked a standard view 1 bedroom at BWV for 3/19 - 3/23. Now I know this is the week before Easter. Our school district always has spring break the last full week of March. I'm glad it doesn't coincide with Easter (well once in a great while, it does.)

You are less than 7 months out, so it is going to be hard. Why not just get an OKW studio (you'll get two queen beds) and you can still go visit AKV?

This morning I got a studio for spring break week (including easter) at BWV (not standard). It was less than 6 months out and I felt lucky!
