Hello. We are thinking about splitting our trip in Early December to include 3 nights at Royal Pacific (never been to Universal) and then taking a taxi to the Contemporary (DH really want Tower view of MK for 10th Anniversary) for 2 nights and the MVMCP. I have a couple of questions.

This trip, we are only interested inthe MVMCP at WDW and a short stay at Contemporary. Do we need the fourth night at RP to really do everything at Universal? Will there be Christmas special events going on we would enjoy?

I guess what I want to know is would you split the stay 3 & 2 as currently planned or go with 4 & 1?

by the way it will be me, dh & dd6, dd8 possibly ds19.

Thanks,
Shellie

We are going on February 12th and we are staying three nights at Boardwalk Inn and two nights at Royal Pacific at Universal. Since we will have FOTL at Universal, two days is enough for us. I also prefer doing Disney first because you have FOTL to look forward to.

Just my two cents, of course.

We split a trip early December last year. We stayed at AKL and then moved over to HRH. I agree with anmaril to do it opposite but since you arent touring WDW except for MVMCP it makes no difference.

If you think you would like to do/see other things while at WDW then stay the extra night at CR. 3 nights at RPR allows you plenty of time to enjoy it all. Also once you make the move (packing/moving) you will most likely be happy you have 2 nights at CR instead of just 1.

Let us know what you decide! Enjoy:)

We did 3 nights at Portofino before Yacht Club last summer. With FOTL it was almost too much time at Universal. One good day for each park is more than enough. We ended up checking in about 6 hours earlier at YC than we thought we would. It was our first time at Universal. If we go again this year we will only stay at Royal Pacific 2 nites. :earsboy:
