Split Stay (DVC) - ADR Question

I'm doing a split stay in May 2020 using DVC points that I'm renting via a broker. 180 day mark hit today, but I was only able to book dining reservations for the first half of my stay. Called the ADR phone number and was told by two different cast members that booking for the second half of my stay isn't possible until I hit the 180 day mark on the start of the second reservation. A DVC cast member said they could complete the "work around" but they needed to have the owner of the DVC points on the phone to do it. I asked the broker if they could assist by getting the DVC owner to call about initiating hte "work around" but was told they will not help.

Any ideas on how to get my ADRs for the second half of my vacation booked? Also, will I have the same problem when my fastpass reservations roll around? The cast member I spoke with today for ADRs said there isn't a dedicated team to fastpass reservations, so if I have to call Disney to try to get the second set of fastpasses booked, I'm unsure who I would even need to speak to.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

Calling or going online 180 days out from your second stay is your best bet for your ADRs. For you FPs I believe the full window will open but double check Robo's sticky to be sure.
Thanks! I must've missed it in the sticky about FPs, because it was in there (FP window opens 60 days before the check-in date of the first stay and extends until the checkout date of the last stay).

The DVC owner probably won't make the reservations because they have to provide a credit card to guarantee it.

But it isn't a problem. I've been able to get my ADRs when I do split stays after renting points

How exactly were you able to get your ADRs when you did split stays after renting points? Anything specific I can do to try to remedy the situation?

It appears they were able to get the owner on the phone. DVC allows split-stay ADRs for owners.

Unfortunately, your broker is unwilling to help, so you will need to wait 180 days from checkin of the second stay.

If the owner of the points is unwilling to call member services you will have to wait until your second window opens. Member services can’t help you without the owner. Sorry. FP will work fine though.

I made them at 180 days from the start of each reservation. It wasn't difficult at all

With Member Services? Without the owner and member number?

If so, I’m scratching my head on that one. MS doesn’t touch an account or reservation without thorough vetting. And that includes that last 4 of SS.

I think she means she made the ADRs as if they were two separate resort reservations, which they are to the ADR system, and didn’t need MS assistance. DVC owners can make ADRs as if the resort reservations were one continuous reservation.

Yup that's what I meant. The 180 + 10 works for each separate reservation and it worked well. Sure, it was a free more phone calls (which I know we now have to do online dining reservations now) but everything I wanted was available...
