I saw on another thread that PBS is doing a Hamilton documentary tomorrow.

Anybody planning to watch Rocky Horror on Fox tonight? I plan to check it out, although I'm not shivering with antici-------(Say it!!)-------pation.

I saw the live musical in person about 15 years ago, a bit different from the film. I'm not sure what version they're showing tonight.

Thanks for the reminder, however, I might have too many shows recording tonight.

I can't watch it tonight because I'm onstage performing in it tonight! Lol. In our second week of a three week run of RHS! I will tape it but to be honest what bits I have seen don't thrill me. Seems like Glee doing RHS. Needs more down and dirty grit and less pop. Who knows though. Can't really say until I see it. :)

Never been much of a fan. I'm looking forward more to Hairspray Live in December.

I was never a big fan of the original, that being said, I don't see the point of the remake. Tim Curry was Frankenfurter, and nobody can replace him.

Yes, you nailed it!
Good luck tonight.

I didn't know it was on but will probably watch or if not DVR and watch it over the weekend.

I will admit that I only watched the original once after it was on Glee. Loved the music but found it odd. I know it was suppose to be. Lol.

I'm planning to watch. I'm a big fan of the original. I don't expect greatness from Fox's version but we shall see.

Nope. I will never support them messing with my beloved classic. Hands off Rocky Horror.

I'll most likely watch, but I don't have high expectations.

By the way, the classic midnight cult film isn't the "original" Rocky Horror. It originated on the stage, in London, I believe. The same is true for those other live TV remakes, Sound of Music, Grease, The Wiz, etc. All were originally stage productions, not movies.

The upcoming Hairspray WAS a movie at first, a non-musical. (Plenty of music was played, but the characters didn't sing the roles.) The December remake is based on the second version, the Broadway musical. (The third version, the film based on the Broadway musical, was ruined by John Travolta's wretched performance.)

I've never seen it in my life and have always wanted to, so I'll definitely be watching. I love Laverne Cox, too!

Good luck tonight.
Thanks! Loving the Time Warp and the copious rolls of toilet paper that attack us every night! A version of Rocky Horror Show that I like is the BBC Live version done in 2015. Worth a watch if you can find it. David Bedella as Frank is delightful!

I'll be watching it, but I don't expect it to be very good; but maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised. I adore the original film and went to a midnight show last week. I'm just interested in seeing a new interpretation with performers I enjoy (like Cox and Lambert). Can't wait to see Tim Curry too!!

Nah, my daughter and I watched the original the other night (it was her first time seeing it). I have had my fill for the time being.

Love the original! I'll watch tonight. I went to a super fun midnight showing of the original in Harvard Square on my 18th birthday in 1995. Everyone dressed up and did the dances in the aisles in the theater. They put a V for virgin on our foreheads with lipsticks bc we were "virgins" to seeing it in a theater. Was ridiculously fun night!!

I've got my dvr set to record it, so I'll definitely check it out. I'm most interested in seeing Tim Curry, don't care about any of the other actors! I watch the movie every year around this time because it's become a tradition for me. I always watch Nightmare Before Christmas and It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown too. None of that gory scary stuff for me!
