Special 9/1/08 Cruise Continued

I love you guys!!! I feel like I belong!!!

I was wondering about taking a couple of floats to CC but didn't remember seeing any so wasn't sure if they were allowed. Yippee!!! I gotta go shopping....again!

We have what we call a ts box. We have salt & pepper packets, sweetener, coffee filters, shampoo, deodorant and such. We also pack in our Foreman and our Rice Steamer. There are other things in there that I just can't remember but you get the point. We never really unpack it. Of course, it doesn't fly with us;only drives with us.

I do repack the suitcase but usually pack the same stuff.

Linda, where near Albany are you? We used to live upstate.

Virginia and Myself, are going to put a cut off date (to be decided) on the updating of the lists, so if you are out there LURKING jump in because it will be not to long from now, Cabin numbers from GTY status We will take them All day, but would like to think that you should have your Assigned cabin number, all of you very soon, did I mention i am in 8530

Georgie to anwser your question Attempts are being made one more time to try to contact cruisers on the unsure list!
Then the same time that the lists closes, that list will also not exsist!
There are several folks that are on that list that, have *'s next to therre name they will be on the cruise but doing there own thing, as of right now.

There names will remain on the list.

This cruise is Part of another boards special cruise with Deb Wills Group, and many folks are part of both forums and have made a choice to do a little of each and or one or the other.

Oh there were tons of big kids in the splash area when we cruised last, I never heard anyone told they couldn't be there. You can see in the background of this photo some of the bigger kids - some looked a good 6 or 7 years old (my dd is the polka dots). Was there a CM there guarding the area? Either way, how completely sucky, especially since you had two different aged children who you obviously needed to watch!!

DD loved the pool but it was always so crowded that she would get freaked out when she got shoved down by bigger kids. She lasted about 10 minutes by herself this time before she'd had enough )and would only stay in the ear - the main part freaked her out with all the people everywhere around her)

Yes, completely sucky. Especially since had my daughter not yet been potty trained, she could have used the splash area. But since she was, it was pool only. She was less than thrilled to sit on a wall and watch him play, and he was equally as happy about being held by the real pool, watching her swim.

They did have a CM guarding the area, but he was also there to watch the slide, so not specifically the splash area. He came over everytime a larger kid was in there and chased them out. One mom even tried getting her older kid (say 8-10yo) to say she was watching her younger brother, but even then, she had to stay on the wall. I assumed it was like that all the time, but clearly not.

I've been MIA here for several weeks. We've been going through some really rough times since we got back from Yellowstone. If all that wasn't enough, the DR found a mass on my thyroid and I am going in this morning to have a needle biopsy done. Probably won't be anything, but I could use your prayers right now.

I've finally caught up on this thread (something like 40 pages) and I think I'm back with the living. I really want to get in the mood for this cruise because I've been waiting along time for it and am looking forward to meeting all of you. Oh yeah, I need to get busy and order my FE gifts too!

Prayers are on the way. I had growths on both sides of my thyroid back in 1995. A needle biopsy showed them to be clear, so I opted to have the size monitored over the next year. In my case, the size increased and I had the whole thing removed. They were benign. My doctor didn't want to take changes they could turn, so they took the thyroid out. I am fine now... just some adjustments with increased weight

Take things one step at a time. It's good they found the mass.

BUFFETT REPORT!!!

Here Goes!

Had a good time.
We got there early. Had some refreshments.
Got to meet some really nice people before the show.

The show itself was great. JB started with an acoustical version of WDWGD. (ask Elaine)
Ended the same way with JB playing Nautical Wheelers.
In between was a lot of wonderful parrothed music including One Particular Harbour, Margaritaville, Pirate Looks at 40 and Fins. 28 tunes total.
Sang and danced to almost all of them.

Afterwards we drove right out of the parking lot (almost) since we parked in the Priority Parking. Worth the $$$.

Only downer of the night was when Jimmy forgot the words to his own song....Changes in Attitude, Changes in Lattitude. He forgot the part "good times and riches and..."

Still, it was a wonderful concert and we are ready for the next one.

Sounds like a good time was had by all. Have yet to see him in concert but it is one of my goals. Now that I'll be retired I can camp out overnight to get tickets I can afford! Looking forward to a Buffet night on the cruise!
