Special 9/1/08 Cruise Continued

Here Goes!

Had a good time.
We got there early. Had some refreshments.
Got to meet some really nice people before the show.

The show itself was great. JB started with an acoustical version of WDWGD. (ask Elaine)
Ended the same way with JB playing Nautical Wheelers.
In between was a lot of wonderful parrothed music including One Particular Harbour, Margaritaville, Pirate Looks at 40 and Fins. 28 tunes total.
Sang and danced to almost all of them.

Afterwards we drove right out of the parking lot (almost) since we parked in the Priority Parking. Worth the $$$.

Only downer of the night was when Jimmy forgot the words to his own song....Changes in Attitude, Changes in Lattitude. He forgot the part "good times and riches and..."

Still, it was a wonderful concert and we are ready for the next one.

Glad to hear you had a good time Bob!! Of course how could you NOT! I was listening in on RM... loved to hear "I will play for Gumbo" Haven't heard that one in a while. I hope he adds Tampa or Orlando in November.. keeping those fingers and toes crossed! Heck I'd go to Ft Lauderdale if I had to.....

I Love that thought... just what is normal!!! Joe has come to accept that I'm normal by "Georgie" standards! ! Yes, Leslie... you are most definitely normal!

We were thinking of maybe doing a "behind the Magic Kingdom" fireworks viewing at MB on Saturday post cruise . For refreshments... our friend David makes a mean chocolate cake! YUM! Will post later if this is a go or not.

Georgie, while I would like to think that i am correct, And I believe i am, ( I could Be wrong) this is where DVCNEWGIRL Chimes in!

Virginia's list still is in the getting it together stages, look for many updates and corrections later this week when she has time to get it all together.

As stated it is still a Work in progress..
as you can imagine with many cabins being assigned this week!

Oh, a little Mouse told me that documents are being Prepared for mailing!


Also the cut off date for getting on the Roster and FE list will be AUGUST 21, 2008..
We need to pack and ready ourselves for a departure for FLA,
This is basically a week before we leave... and 11 days before the Cruise..

There are a few extra lanyards, for the late Person, who may find this thread, after the CO date..
(Name badges are printed - just will have to write in Dis name and first name, with sharpie..)

Virginia and I, are working out how to inform others that may want to find late comers, for FE Gift delivery.

Please look at the Roster, As Virginia / ulittletinker is taking info from the roster - compiling from there...
I do go a little GOOFY sometimes and or mis understand post and or PM's.

Prayers are on the way. I had growths on both sides of my thyroid back in 1995. A needle biopsy showed them to be clear, so I opted to have the size monitored over the next year. In my case, the size increased and I had the whole thing removed. They were benign. My doctor didn't want to take changes they could turn, so they took the thyroid out. I am fine now... just some adjustments with increased weight

Take things one step at a time. It's good they found the mass.

Thanks everyone for your thoughts and prayers! The procedure went well even though it was very unpleasant. They did find a 2nd smaller nodule while they were in there. Won't have any more info for a few days.

Georgie, your experience seems to be the norm, so I'm not worried, except for the possibility of increased weight. I really don't need that!! LOL

Hi! I finished my FE this week----it sure does look "home-made" not a bad first-ever sewing project----it will just have to "do" Also, I'm not sure how big of a deal it is if it is wider than 9 inches? After adding the wooden hanger and the fancy endcaps it is almost 11 inches long---can anyone tell me if this is OK?

I also need to find out how to ship a box to our cabin----the over 300 leis sure take up a lot of room in our suitcase and if I can ship them ahead that would be great! So I am asking the collective wisdom on this DIS thread if you can tell me what I need to write on the box and what address I can use----how soon/late should it be mailed and if it really will be delivered since we are leaving on a holiday (Labor Day).

We have the early seating. I think it will work better for the kids than late seating.

We have not told my DD(2) about the cruise yet - she would drive us crazy for the next month! She is going to have a blast! I am sure we all will.

I hope Wall E will be showing, as my son just loves him. We even made him a Wall E door magnet.

Amy - My son will be 2yo and he just loved our last cruise in April. He was 20 months. He seemed to have a lot of fun, and this time he can actually go in the pool cause he's potty trained so I know he'll have a blast!

Sharon - Sorry to hear they found a 2nd nodule. My MIL had something similar happen to hear and ended up getting her thyroid removed and she is totally fine now. She did have to stay away from my BIL for awhile, as he was only 4yo when she had to undergo the radioactive stuff, but other than that she said it was a seamless procedure. Best of luck!

I'm sure you can pretty much count on WALL-E showing. They may even use that as one of the nighttime "shows" as well as have it playing in the Buena Vista theater. Usually all of the latest Disney owned films are playing on the ship.

Can't remember the name of the duo, but they were quite good.
Would be nice to see them again.

On the EB Med Repo, there was a Buffett Tribute Night on deck nine on Castaway Cay day.

So DCL, we know you read the boards, it would be nice to do it again.
