My in-laws who are coming on this cruise have announced that they are coming to stay with us for Easter.

They haven't been to visit us for three years but they want to spend some time with us doing some planning.

This is the first time they have been to the USA and WDW and they are slightly apprehensive about everything. We have told them not to worry.

The cruises they have done in the past (the Med' and Egypt) have been on 28.000 tonne ships so I've been explaining the difference in size with the Magic.

If only I could go to work over Easter

David, I feel SURE that there is going to be some urgent need for you to work over Easter . . . after all you have already given up for this situation, you should be able to slack off on the hand-holding, I would say!

I will be "on-call" over Easter but as I haven't been called out for an emergency for several months I don't expect a call at Easter.

The good news about Helen's mother is that at the age of 60 she has finally done something about her 30 cigarettes a day habit - she's been to the doctor for help about giving-up (I've actually told her that you cannot smoke in WDW property - including hotels, parks AND the ships) - I know I've stretched the truth slightly but I cannot stand her smoking.

Well, that white lie was certainly told for a good reason . . . it's going to be hard to break a 30 cigarette a day habit at her age. Good luck with that.

Dry Wall was finsished and textured today, added a couple of our signature hidden Mickey's to the texturing.

Now to paint, tile, and fixtures, and trim out, hang a door, install cabinets.... it seems like it will never end.

Wow! I hadn't checked this thread out in a long time. We moved across country and you guys had shut the thread down! Crazy! Well, I'm assuming nothing new has been anounced yet? I saw the cruise is sold out. I sure hope we are able to get flounders and palo ressies!

I love the hidden Mickey in the painting! We are currently re-doing our kitchen, and I may need to add one of those.

Okay, just had to fess up to a completely ridiculous error I made. Even though I made the ressies for this cruise and I have been researching (honest), for some insane reason I thought we were going to be on the Wonder????

I just finished telling my dh how it was a shame we're cruising on the Wonder since the Magic has a great young teen area our boys would love. Then I am reading on this thread and I see...Magic. I checked my DU ressie, and sure enough we will be on the Magic - ooops!

So now I feel even more like a cruise newbie since it has taken me months just to figure out which ship I am on

BTW in my defense, I think it is because the Wonder does the shorter cruises that I just sorta assumed that was the ship for this cruise, so it really was knowledge that caused my confusion. Yeah, knowledge, that is my story

Good Morning All.

David, my study/office here at home is also getting me down; stuff everywhere in piles must get that together, thanks for the push.

Should get going on Taxes but we will see.

If ya want your own hidden Mickey maker here are the direction. Trace your Mickey head onto ½ plywood, cut it out. Attach a handle to one side, glue a dense foam to the other side , and there ya go. I wonder if the person that bought our house in Jackson has noticed them yet, LOL.

Hoping for good weather, woudl like to get out for a nice long run.

Here is one funny story from that event!

Each morning they went to the breakfast buffet, deck 9.
This morning in mention we told them, meet us on deck 10 @10 as we would be doing Brunch at Palo!

The time came we looked for them! could not find them!
went to place on deck 9, still could not find them!
So we went to Palo with out them!

Later in day, we said, so what happened to you 2 ?
They said we had a lovely brunch, @10 ! you never showed!

We said don't you listen we told you 3 times!
It was up one deck from the place you have been going every morning!

Happy Birthday to those celebrating the last week (or two). I watched the Disney Cruise Line special on tv this morning while getting ready for work. I am really getting excited for a relaxing 6 days away in September.
