Souvenirs (that are memorable)

Christmas ornaments, butter knife from AP, sweatshirt, beach towel. My girls collect Disney pins so they like to trade with the officers and look for pins that are ship specific. I recently started wearing Alex and Ani bracelets so a DCL one will be on my wish list when we cruise in April.

You used to be able to buy the plates from AP. My stepmom got me a set of 8 of them and I love them!

The most memorable souvenir we took from our cruise was a photo mat that was signed by each of the characters. Mickey Mail was discontinued before our cruise so we had to wait in line for the characters to sign it. We ended up purchasing one of the pictures from the cruise and it sits with the photo mat in my living room. I see it everyday and am reminded of all the memories we shared.

It is a less costly option and can entertain any kids in your party as you get it signed.

I don't collect one specific thing so it varies with each cruise however in the past I have purchased cups, mugs, ornaments, pins, and various clothing. However the most memorable piece I collected was during my maiden voyage cruise on the Fantasy. At the gallery I purchased a one of a kind Mickey silhouette that was cut from the same metal they used to make the ship and it's hand painted with scuba Mickey which has a lot of meaning for me since I scuba dived at nearly all the ports on that cruise except Costa Maya (canceled due to weather) and CC (they don't have scuba diving at CC). This piece is awesome and I've never seen any of these similar pieces on sale anywhere (not even on eBay).

Does Goofy candy count? :)
I usually get a DCL t-shirt, end up wearing them pretty regularly.

I myself was really looking forward to adding to my collection when we were in Wonder in October. The CM in the shop said they haven't had it in awhile. :(

We have quite a few things that we use often. My DS wears his DCL t-shirts all the time. He also has the models of all the ships we have been on displayed on a shelf in his room. I'm sitting here now looking at my Disney Dream travel coffee mug that I use every day. We also have a lot of Tervis cups that get used often. I do enjoy seeing the ornaments every year on the tree. Oh, and the fleece blankets get used quite a bit when watching TV.
Hi, Patti! Amy :wave2:

My favorite items are my DCL Tervis tumbler (use it everyday for work), DCL towels, Christmas ornaments, & my DCL Dooney & Bourke purses! :lovestruc

These are perfectly sized for standard beer growlers. That's what mine is used for.

Nice idea!

We rarely fill our growlers as I'm the only one who drinks and I don't/can't drink a growler inside two days before the beer goes stale on me, but it's still a good idea. :)

I work in the travel industry, so we travel often. We collect gold/brass ornaments from each city, place, activity that we visit. We display those on our "travel tree" at Christmas time. Each destination city that we go to, we collect a piece of artwork of the city (like a painting or litho of the city-scape or a famous landmark from that city) and frame them and have them all hung in our stairwell. I used to collect bells and beer mugs. They became "junk" over time.

That's exactly what we do both the ornaments and a small print. If I can't find an ornament I purchase a small item I can easily make into an ornament. The small prints we have framed and hanging in our basement rec room with a huge framed world map with push pins on all of the places we have traveled.

we love our fuzzy fleece blanket from our alaskan cruise. it brings a smile to my face every time i snuggle up in it while being a couch potato. :)

I go with this one also. We got one on our Alaska Cruise. I keep it on the back of my chair to put on my legs when it gets chilly.

My favorite purchase is the white terrycloth swimsuit cover I bought on our last cruise. It's very comfortable and I use it as a robe around the house.

I'm all about getting everyday things (socks, scarves, kitchen towels, throw pillows are a few I've pick up previously) that don't necessarily scream "I went on a cruise". I love grabbing a random pair of socks for the day, and remembering that I picked them up in London, etc.
