Hi I'm hoping to book Aulani at 7 month window in mid February (studio or 1 bed) what are my chances?

The cheaper the room, the harder it is to get. Standard View Studio will be 100% impossible. Ocean View 1 Bedroom will be pretty easy.

Also, weekends tend to be much harder than weekdays at Aulani.

We will be booking in Feb for our September trip also, we are looking for a 2 bedroom. Hoping for availability for this with an island garden view.

My experience at 7 months wasn't too bad. I was hoping for a cheaper studio but it was gone. Ocean view was good to go tho.

Are you booking in February for a September stay or are you booking at 7 months out for a February stay? We just did a late September stay and booking at 7 months was easy. We wanted island view studio and could also have booked oceanview or pool view. Only standard view was booked up, but I think that’s never available.

Honestly my experience booking at 7-months was kind of a roller coaster. I assumed I'd be able to get an Island Garden or Pool Garden super easy, and thought I'd have no chance at Standard. I also decided against walking.

On the 7-month day, only Ocean View was available. And then after a day had passed, even that became booked up. Granted, we were booking a 2-bedroom and there are fewer of those than studios, but I was still flabbergasted. Weirdly, the previous week had availability for a 2-bedroom in a Pool Garden view, so I snagged that. I put in a waitlist for the real days I wanted, and after 3-4 weeks, the waitlist came through.

My best guess is that at the 7-month mark, people (walkers?) snagged up the availability, and I had to wait for them to finish walking before my dates reopened up, which is why I was able to get a week BEFORE my intended dates but not the actual dates I wanted at the 7-month mark.

I was able to get it, but only after a waitlist and 2-3 weeks of checking/fixing stuff. Albeit, I was going in summer which I'm told is harder. I've seen some predictors online and it varies by unit and time of year.

I missed my seven months by a couple days for an August trip and all two bedrooms sold out. My only option was one bedrooom ocean room which I took. I waitlisted for two bedrooms and keeping my fingers crossed. Had no idea August was so busy.

June/July/August are prime seasons for Aulani.

Aulani is also a little bit unusual within DVC in that the times that are most popular for normal travelers to visit Hawaii tend to be the same months it's hardest to book DVC.

Walt Disney World is offen the opposite. "Slow season" for Orlando tends to be some of the hardest times to book DVC because members are attracted by the low points charts.
