Southwest Refund Extension?

If you have a credit that is going to expire, do you call the day it expires or the day after to have it extended (for the $50 per person fee)?

My refund is valid through Sat. Wasn't sure if I call saturday or sunday.

I think I would call before it expired. Like today. If you call after it expires, it is expired and terminated.

I didn't know that SW extended the expiration date for ticketless travel funds (I assume that's what you are referring to...) but I would call before the expiration or the funds may be gone. Let us know how it works out

You will need to call Southwest Customer relations. Do not call the regular line.

For peace of mind, call before the expiration, but they will not be able to extend until the date has passed.

My parents had non-refundable fares for an October trip that were booked with old credits that expired at the end of the month. My mother came down with pneumonia and had to cancel the trip. They called with hopes of getting an extension. When they explained the situation, SW actually offered a full refund. They did have a form that had to be completed by the doctor, but I think SW goes above and beyond in this area.

check, but in my case they would not extend it until it expires, i did call the day before mine did and because they had phone problems and i waited along time, she did it in her file and said she would take care of it the next day.

but when i got my email 1 week later it was only for 1 of the confirmation # and i had 2, so i calle dback and they said she never did the 2nd one. So i don't think they are deleted after expiry, and they told me to wait til they expire
