southwest booking problem

Why is southwest unavailable to book thru the disney website it recognizes isp for an airport and lists all the other carriers.Will this affect my magic express pick up?

I have no idea but I'd guess you can't book thru Disney website as SWA doesn't participate in Travel site programs. You can book your flight thru SWA and call to book ME. I just did it for mine and have done it multiple times prior.

Southwest only books flights from their own website and doesn't link to any other agency or wholesaler programs except for Southwest Vacations. SWV is actually run by a third party for Southwest as are most airline vacation sites.

Walt Disney Travel Company can't pull SW flights through their air system. Just book your own flights an record them for ME. Not a problem, I've booked clients that way several times!

This is all true. The other issue with SWA is the fact that they don't open dates for booking as far out as most other airlines. Right now, for example, most carriers have flights open for booking through most of March 2014 (they open for booking on a rolling basis 330 days out) whereas SWA is open for booking only through Nov. 1 of this year and will open through Jan. 5, 2014 on May 6.

No, you don't have to book air through Disney in order to use DME.
