Sorcerer pass wirh no blue card?

Hi, Yes I called to discuss a reservation I had made for next year and just asked the DVC advisor about doing an upgrade on my existing tickets. He just said I will get a call within 14 days from that department and that is what happened. I remember she asked for my membership number and after the sale I asked if they had called from the ticketing centre or DVC and she said DVC. I checked my phone and it was the 800-800-9800 number.
I kind of feel like I should call DVC and try again now. You both got a yes from the initial person you spoke to and got a DVC callback who did it? Seems like it's allowed now.

Go for it. I must say I never mentioned I wasn't a blue card holder and it was never asked. The only thing I was asked for was my membership number.

Not sure I'm following correctly. It looks like the only option for the Sorcerer Pass is DVC or Florida Resident, if they don't allow non Blue Card to purchase the Sorcerer Pass does that leave the Incredi-Pass as their only option?

For annual passes, yes. AFAIK, the Incredi-pass is the only annual pass available to someone who is neither a Florida resident nor a DVC Member. The jury is still out re eligibility for white card DVC Members.

Of course, Members can purchase any ticket available to the general public.

I just called the DVC member services number, identified myself as a white card holder, asked if I could upgrade to annual passes. Rep said no problem, I would get a callback within 14 days. Rep asked if I wanted Sorceror’s Pass and I said yes, and she said ok and took down my ticket information and callback number and said I’d get a calll back within 14 days to do the upgrade.

Wow!! That is a drastic change! Congratulations on getting the pass!! 🎉

(Now, if DVC would just update the wording to reflect that!)

Blah, I'm a white card holder. I just called Member services to try and upgrade tickets to Sorcerors Pass and was told, not eligible.

Maybe Disney is looking to get as much cash coming in as possible now that the parts are back open and not worried about DVC Blue Card status right now. They want people to buy direct so they will need to make it worthwhile, not just restricting Riviera IMO. I have added on direct mostly because I buy small contracts, I liked to Moonlight events in the past, I want to be able to stay at future resorts, I like getting my points right away no hassle, I like to use my CC for cash back and spread out my payment and I like to add on just before my use year for current points. Florida resident so the passes don't matter too much, dining and merchandise discounts are nice as well. DVC and /or Annual Pass.

It seems some are getting upset about white cards getting the sorcerer, but it’s been well discussed that blue card bennies can go away at any time. In this case blues aren’t missing the bennies, but Disney (certain parts) are extending it to others.
Same thing. Blues were never guaranteed an advantage over whites.
I don't think anyone is upset about white cards getting the sorcerer. I have seen nothing to that effect in this thread. The thread is about white cards getting the Sorcerers pass, and hoping when they go to activate, they are not then met with a Soup Nazi NO.

I don't disagree. I was specifically referring to people upthread that had referenced the Membership Magic page, and there is no reference THERE. I never said there wasn't additional, or more specific references elsewhere.

The annual pass page is VERY specific with regard to eligibility requirements and references the Sorcerer Pass directly.
Actually, it is quite specific, and in bold print.
Important Information about Membership Extras:

Membership Extras, such as vacation options in the Disney and Concierge Collections, certain discounts, offers, and special events are incidental benefits. These incidental benefits are subject to change or termination without notice, may require the payment of a fee and cannot be combined with any other o¬ffers or promotions. Membership Extras are also subject to availability and block-out dates may apply, including high periods of demand such as Christmas and New Year’s Day. To receive any Membership Extras, purchasers must present a valid Disney Vacation Club Membership Card along with a corresponding valid photo ID. Effective June 3, 2021, to obtain a Disney Vacation Club Membership Card, Members must accumulate a total of at least 150 Vacation Points purchased directly from Disney Vacation Development, Inc. Disney and Concierge Collection options are not available for ownership interests not purchased directly from Disney Vacation Development, Inc. after March 21, 2011, and, effective April 4, 2016, Members who have not purchased an ownership interest directly from Disney Vacation Development, Inc. will not have access to Membership Extras.

Ultimately, that is true. But, DVD has said it is one way and MS is refusing owners via phone call…even some CMs on the ticketing line are now refusing white card owners.

Only CMs allowing are at the parks. I just think the inconsistency should be straightened out.
I agree so much. It is so unfair to white card owners who cannot get it, when some can. If you are near enough or lucky enough to be there at this time to get one at park ticket windows, YAY. If not, it sucks to be you.
Thank is not right. It should be consistent.

I'm quite well aware of what it says (as I included it myself earlier). The point was that the Membership Extras page doesn't explicitly reference "Annual Passes" as part of Membership Extras, whereas the Annual Pass page does very specifically reference passes with zero ambiguity. I included that exact same paragraph because that was what OTHERS were allegedly relying on to support their argument that passes weren't a specific Blue Card perk.

There were people on the forums using the logic that, because Annual Passes weren't mentioned by name (it only reads "Disney and Concierge Collections, certain discounts, offers, and special events"), on the Membership Extras page, and because Disney reserves the right to add or remove Extras without notice, that maybe, just maybe, Disney had decided that passes weren't part of the Blue Card only Membership Extras anymore (hey, I guess anything can happen), and any DVC member could receive discounted AP's. The bold lays out who is entitled to Membership Extras, but the argument was what if passes weren't part of the Extras, but I also pointed out that the Annual Pass kind shuts the door on that argument.

I pointed out that if you go the the Annual Pass page, the passes are very definitively included as Membership Extras. Of course, someone had to say something like "Well, what if you don't know you need to go to the annual pass page to learn that", to somehow get around the language.

Got it.

Trust me, with all the back and forth and increasingly long posts to copy and paste, some posts got skinnied up a bit so it's easy to miss where a whole bunch of reading between the lines was needed.
There was (and still is on other threads) a TON of "But it doesn't say that SPECIFICALLY" posts.

People have always done their own interpretations so it fits into whatever they want it to fit into.

Why would Disney all of a sudden allow any member to get an annual pass with discount? It’s not as if attendance is down and people stay away from the parks.

With that said mistakes or pixie dust happens and thank god for that. I.e points transfers are now said to be a 3-way call as that is the new policy but some CM’s still do it with only the seller on the call. Policies, rules, procedures etc are only as good as those who follow them.

If I were a white card member I would definitely try to see if I could get the discount, if I could great, if not I didn’t lose anything.

I’m a white card and called member services two separate times and spoke to a CM who told me I could purchase after I gave them my member number. I purchased after the second phone call. I had no idea there was a difference between dvc and who could buy the sorcerer pass. I’m now on my way to Disney as we speak and worried now they will refuse when I show them my dvc ID. We really couldn’t do the extra $800 total for the incredi-pass right now so Im kind of a sad panda right now.

My wife called ticket services to upgrade our 5-day tickets to annual passes. We are white card members and had 0 issue upgrading to the Sorcerer's Pass. Until coming across this thread I didn't have any fear about activating the pass once we arrive to the park, but now I'm a little nervous as I'm not sure what will happen when we get there. Our disney accounts show we are annual passholders, but we haven't activated them at the parks yet.

If they do not allow activation, will they downgrade our annual pass to our original 5-day tickets and keep our park reservations in-tact? Will they make us upgrade to an Incredipass in order to keep park reservations?

So confusing.

Fingers crossed for you guys! Upon reading a couple threads some white cards were able to get it. If not I’d hope you could downgrade and not lose your park reservations. I made mine for my December trip already so I’m glad I’m going now to see if I’ll need to rebook my park pass reservations.
