really damo, most of us just say a quick hello, do our rant and then jump in and carry on 4 different conversations at the same time.

nothing has changed since you were last here.

So ture!

since tricia is MIA and many have repeated your same thoughts, i need to start calling............:rolleyes1
i'll find her someway.....

I am really getting worried.

i hear ya lori on parenting. i'm still trying to get it down pat at times.....

and slumber parties....oh vey............more than i care to think about has happened at ours.
each son would have to invite a buddy also no matter which son was having the sleep over party......i never slept. just like giving birth, you don't get much rest when the boys are up

I have actually been very lucky. I made it through 3 kids without ever having to have a slumber party. Last night was the first one ever. And man did we ever have a big one.

lori, i had a kid leave once during the night and no one told me until the next day.
i always hated to be the last to know what was going on.

did i ever tell you the time my sons had friends spend the night and we totaled 7 boys here? oldest one was 12, youngest was 8.

they cranked call their friends.
only problem it was the parents that got up during the night to answer the phone......

the police that came told me if the boys stopped doing that, no charges would be pressed.

stupid kids. i showed them how to block called id after that.

You and Janet both have had a kid disappear in the middle of the night. Must be a boy thing. Of course it wouldn't have surprised me either if the girls parents had come and got her and not let anyone know. :sad2:

Great idea showing them how to block caller id! :lmao:

well, this game turned on its head really quickly:scared:
i will not , repeat NOT root for seattle for any reason.

come on Pack!

family pleased with the turnout. everyone is doing okay.
getting back to our regulary scheduled life of dysfunction.

a quick note to the homies.

tricia has a serious problem with joshua.
he was taken by ambulance from school to the hospital the other day.

he is home now and tricia is with him.

he had seizures.

tricia gave me permission to post on the thread of the situation.

i can pm the detailed pm i received from her if you would want it.
don't know if i should post the pm on the open thread.

MARCIE.............DID YOU SEE THAT FUMBLE........

OH SNAP............

Well, see, I wasn't watching then. Had to take DS to the music store to buy 1. Piano music, 2. Tuba music, 3. Drum set music, 4. Snare drum music, and 5. Vibraphone music, along with a set of metal brushes (??) for the snare. All for solo/ensemble. Only chance we had to go.

However, once I got home and got the game under control, the Packers quickly scored 3 touchdowns! :rotfl: Go Pack!

Penny - are you just trying to jinx us?

What a whiner I am!:guilty: Hello. . . my name is Wendy Whiner, and I am addicted to BAD FOOD CHOICES!!!

Hope everyone is good today, and tonight. . . and someone. . . PLEASE eat a big, juicy bacon cheeseburger with spicy brown mustard, onions and tomato for me  :flower3: ;) don't forget the fries, k?

No cheeseburger for me, thanks.

I am, however, having a Cheat Meal tonight. Then back to my normal Regimen.

And wwessing, it's okay to have a cheeseburger. Make it yourself, load it up with veggies, and you'll be good to go! Have one every month or so. :goodvibes

I was just about to post and ask if anyone was watching the game. :rotfl:

Guess what? It's snowing here!!! (We're about 5 miles from Lambeau!)

Oh, and...

GO PACK!!!

 to you tricia & your brave little boy, so sorry to hear:wizard:

so scary when things like this happen to our children; be strong...has to be difficult.

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome and for the input on some attractions that might be good for my DS.

The last time our youngest went to WDW, he was only 2 so there weren't a lot of issues then with any of the rides or him being afraid. He does love the Spiderman movies but I was wondering if that might be too intense for him? I'd really like to give it a try though and guess we'll just see how things go once we get there. He doesn't seem like he'll like the water rides very much or at least the getting totally soaked part of the ride.

This thread moves really fast, lol, so I've been trying to go back and read all of the responses to my questions, I'm sorry if I miss something. Our trip is set for the first part of Apri and we are planning to stay at one of the hotels on property. I feel a little overwhelmed right now just trying to think about what might or might not be good for the youngest. Our 13 year old knows no fear when it comes to any coaster so he's all set. I'm going to go back and read some trip reports, I love those even if we're not planning a trip, and will also get the book that was suggested.

Thanks again everyone for answering so many questions, I know I'll have many more so bear with me ;)

Ok. One more thing. I just noticed that it was suggested that we not do Jaws with the 5 year old. I'll keep that in mind and had meant to ask that earlier because the video I watched of it seemed like it would be a little too much for someone his age.

Thanks again everyone :thumbsup2

what a game...at least the 1st quarter; congrats to the Packers! poor seahogs, never going win it

guess i have to root for them now, might be the kiss of death though:cutie:

enough of the stats already as to Favre's record in Texas Stadium:confused3 ; save it for next week; what is up with these announcers...let them revel in it.

must say, the biggest snow flakes i've ever seen:scared:

Help, I must have missed this! What happened to Tricia and/or son? :confused3 I've been missing her!

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1353733

now i will look for the thread that lists activities for the younger set.

btw, i took my youngest son on jaws when he was 6.
he did okay on it, but then, he watched the terminator movie when he was 3........:rolleyes1
he's the youngest of 4 boys so i think he was conditioned already to the possible scares.
