Help, I must have missed this! What happened to Tricia and/or son? :confused3 I've been missing her!

Oh, and did I mention GO PACK!! :rotfl:

42...............HA!

the green and yellow did it.....

marcie, tricia's son had a seizure at school on thursday.
he was transported by ambulance to the hospital.

today he is home and tricia is very busy taking care of him.

she said she could not spend much time on the computer and i could share the 411 i got from here.

tricia said she hasn't slept since wednesday and is exhausted.
she got through the hospitalization with her sister carol and then josh had this medical emergency.

i'll post if i hear more.
or if someone else hears from her, i know they will share it on the thread.

well, this game turned on its head really quickly:scared:
i will not , repeat NOT root for seattle for any reason.

come on Pack!

family pleased with the turnout. everyone is doing okay.
getting back to our regulary scheduled life of dysfunction.

Penny - Glad to hear you are getting your life backin disfunction.

do any of you follow MEDIUM?

or

l o s t

I love "Medium" but seldom get to watch it. Also really like the show "Numbers".

Hey everyone. . .just droppin in.

Having a rough "I wanna cheeseburger" day. Instead, dinner is grilled salmon, wild rice and steamed veggies. . . I know, I know, it's yummy and I would order it out over a burger any day. . . it's just that I know I may not eat the burger so I want it so very badly!!!!!:sad2:

What a whiner I am!:guilty: Hello. . . my name is Wendy Whiner, and I am addicted to BAD FOOD CHOICES!!!

Hope everyone is good today, and tonight. . . and someone. . . PLEASE eat a big, juicy bacon cheeseburger with spicy brown mustard, onions and tomato for me  :flower3: ;) don't forget the fries, k?

Hang in the Wendy. We are routing for you!

No cheeseburger for me, thanks.

I am, however, having a Cheat Meal tonight. Then back to my normal Regimen.

And wwessing, it's okay to have a cheeseburger. Make it yourself, load it up with veggies, and you'll be good to go! Have one every month or so. :goodvibes

What is your cheat meal? Agree that it is good to not deprive yourself totally of the foods you crave but I think with the Alli the Burger would give her some of those "side effects".

Hey, why isn't there a moving to Colorado ticker going in your signature?

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome and for the input on some attractions that might be good for my DS.

The last time our youngest went to WDW, he was only 2 so there weren't a lot of issues then with any of the rides or him being afraid. He does love the Spiderman movies but I was wondering if that might be too intense for him? I'd really like to give it a try though and guess we'll just see how things go once we get there. He doesn't seem like he'll like the water rides very much or at least the getting totally soaked part of the ride.

This thread moves really fast, lol, so I've been trying to go back and read all of the responses to my questions, I'm sorry if I miss something. Our trip is set for the first part of Apri and we are planning to stay at one of the hotels on property. I feel a little overwhelmed right now just trying to think about what might or might not be good for the youngest. Our 13 year old knows no fear when it comes to any coaster so he's all set. I'm going to go back and read some trip reports, I love those even if we're not planning a trip, and will also get the book that was suggested.

Thanks again everyone for answering so many questions, I know I'll have many more so bear with me ;)

Ok. One more thing. I just noticed that it was suggested that we not do Jaws with the 5 year old. I'll keep that in mind and had meant to ask that earlier because the video I watched of it seemed like it would be a little too much for someone his age.

Thanks again everyone :thumbsup2

Heck as many times as I have ridden it I still get a pretty good scare out of it. DD - 9, who loves Jurrasic Park and has forever, gets a pretty good scare out of it. It is the only ride she is practically on my lap!

what a game...at least the 1st quarter; congrats to the Packers! poor seahogs, never going win it

guess i have to root for them now, might be the kiss of death though:cutie:

enough of the stats already as to Favre's record in Texas Stadium:confused3 ; save it for next week; what is up with these announcers...let them revel in it.

must say, the biggest snow flakes i've ever seen:scared:

I can't stand most of the announcers from college on up. Try listening to Brent Musberger or Keith Jackson announce an OU football game. We have to turn the tv down and turn the radio on to listen to our own announcers when either of them does one of our games.

this is the link on general 411 on the theme parks and area

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1353733

now i will look for the thread that lists activities for the younger set.

btw, i took my youngest son on jaws when he was 6.
he did okay on it, but then, he watched the terminator movie when he was 3........:rolleyes1
he's the youngest of 4 boys so i think he was conditioned already to the possible scares.

Sounds like Ally with her Jurassic Park movies. She has been watching them for years. I rember watching one of the movies in the theatre with the boys. I had my leg up on the back of the seat and the other one crossed over it. When the velociraptor jumped out the poor kid in the seat in front of me almost lost his head!

being the homie that i am, i went out to burger king and got one of those burgers...........in fact, i bought 2 of them.

they are all gone.

gee, what i will do for a homie.....

You are the most amazing friend! :lovestruc

goodness they are having a blizzard at that game I guess thats why green bay is doing so good:lmao:

hey, don't count out the bears........they play better in the snow also.
some of the best games are bears vs packers...

i know the bears bombed out this year, but they were in the super bowl for 07

i was taken back by that lead.
when brett f came out, he really turned it around.
i heard on espn that brett wants to come back next year. what is he 38, something like that. 1/4 backs are usually finished by that age.

No cheeseburger for me, thanks.

I am, however, having a Cheat Meal tonight. Then back to my normal Regimen.

and this is coming from the homie that is going to lose 8 lbs in the month?
i never do the cheese on a burger if i can help it.

is your cheat meal pizza tonight, darkie?

have you ever searched youtube for videos?
there are some very very good and clear videos some families have put up on youtube for that ride.

if you can't find the videos, let us know, someone here can put the link here for you.

i have seen those snowflakes off and on for weeks here...........
i hate everyone of them.
mr mac said to me, well, maybe the snowflakes hate you too.........

Thanks everyone for your thoughts.....still hate them tho. They visited DF this morning and gave him a rundown of the finances (screaming was a must).

So we are sorting things thru and trying to figure everything out.

I won't accept anything from them tho...not even for the wedding....

Well have company over so have to run......

Check you homies laters.....

mac...again.....that would be Tricia :headache:

:rotfl:

I have heard from her....she was at the hospital for 48 hours and is running on no sleep.... she is freaking out, worried, exhausted, scared and everything that goes along with it.... Joshua is fine now, on meds to control seizures and is on a 'waiting list' for pediatric neuro. :sad2: (apparently, in Atlanta and not overly abundant in her area of the boonies :confused3 )

Anyhow...she is 'okay' for the most part, but just wasn't near a computer, let alone able to post.

Hopefully now she's home, she'll get to rest and "pop" in.....

Much mummydust for Tricia's family.... :wizard: :grouphug:

i must have a stupid finger barb.
it keeps mispelling her name.............

from now on out, i'll try very hard to proof my posts so i don't drive you crazy

how was your day at work?
do you ever get tired of making ugly ladies beautiful?

More well wishes coming from me up here in Canada. There is nothing more scary than a sick child. I remember the first time my nephew had a seizure. It was terrifying but turned out to be nothing major and he only ever had two more. Hopefully, this is the case here too.

damo...i remember you from the American idol threads! Are you excited for the new season to start on Tuesday? I am totally chomping at the bit!

ok barb, i corrected my error.
hey, i only did it wrong in one post.

i must be getting better, eh......

hey damo, are you counting the days to your trip to the new house?
i think we will do a cyber tping of your new home so you feel welcome in the new neighborhood.

they do tp houses in canada don't they?
i mean, gravy on french fries.............well, another story of what my kids did when we order fries in canada and they came with gravy.

Everyone kept thinking that Kalan Porter was me, so I took it out. Someday, when he is famous in the US, people will think it is a Diser!

well, if you want my opinion, i would say don't name the firstborn after that side of the family.........

I am thinking that won't even be a possibility if there is a 10th born.

how was your day at work?

I know what is happening cause I do it all the time and it really bugs me. I am constantly thinking one letter or number but I type a different one. When I am helping my sister with her book it is really bad.

The worst thing I do is type a word with a couple of letters in the wrong order, like "acre" is typed "acer". My sister actually thought that I just didn't know how to spell it because I did it so much but she never said anything. One day I made a comment about how much it bugged me that I did that and then she finally told me she was finding it all the time.

So you are thinking Tricia but your fingers type Tracy because in your subconcious she is there. Did that make any sense at all?

and did you notice bonnie that damo ignored my last question to her????

damo, that looks like a new house.
wowser..........it looks fabulous!!!

can't wait until you have the house warming party and invite us all.
btw, it's an american tradition..........:rolleyes1 jk ya'

uh...NO kiddin'....housewarming PAR-TAY is a MUST:thumbsup2

I'll think we'll have to settle for a cyber house warming party!!! You're all invited!

oh no damo....no 'cyber' party....we are lookin' for a place to HAVE a party...and your new house would be perfect.... (ya didn't move any 'breakables' in yet...didja?:rolleyes1 )

The house is all clean and everyone is gone. It is so nice and quiet.

We could help ya fix that :rolleyes1

You are so lucky you get to watch both! I woudl enjoy watching other country's idol.

yeah, last year was boring. My favorites always get booted at number 3. (Elliott, Melinda). I have not been impressed with the past couple of winners.
