Changeable weather sure enough...

The wind died down, the sun was gorgeous, so we went a walk in the woods behind us......

Now, it`s blowing a gale and rain is pouring down!! Glad we went out early to get what we needed. Only went to the Farm store and home as it was so nice, very different now.

About to have lunch then pot of tea and a slice of lemon cake bought in the farm place this morning, all home made products and beautiful.

It`s a nice little treat.

Since the Mr had me book this trip for early Valentine’s Day fun, had him take the lead as to which parks/amount of time in them. Who knew I married a commando?

We started strong yesterday, 2nd day rope drop



Finished slow after nice dinner @ OKW Olivia’s Glad we only had to drive back to our villa


Today, ‘somebody’ forgot to get VQ for guardians @ Epcot lol

Still lounging, think we will repeat MK in a bit Maybe some pool time first Mine at home had layer of ice in it when we left

Winter is back!!!

It is cold, windy, raining and miserable out there......but cosy inside! It`s like a different season from this morning.

I also updated the hotel parking charges on the hotel threads!

Quick morning stop in.

It was - 47C / -56F when I came into work this morning. I'm officially over winter I'm currently sitting with a blanket on my lap at my desk.

Not much happened last night. I whipped up some dinner quick for dh and one ds. The other ds is working out of town this week. Dh has come down with some kind of crud - but of course " why would you stay home instead of pushing through and making everyone else at work sick" mentality is winning I want to just cuff him in the head He went to bed right after supper and slept all night.

I scrolled, watched tv and did some reading - that was all. Not much to do when it's this cold. Most people go to work, minimal running around and stay home.

We heard the howling wind this morning and decided to cosy up and go back to sleep, so, a very late breakfast for us, I was ready for my tea by the time we came downstairs.

I would have LOVED to have called in sick today. I need to not care about my job - we are sooo short staffed - even at a baseline. That sounds like the perfect way to spend your day. I envy that you have cold weather - but have no snow!!!!!!

I think that was our favorite ride in Disney!!!!!! It is such a fun ride!!!!!!!!!!! I'm as green as a jelly bean that you are there right now!!!! Enjoy your time there!

Quick post while I have a slow moment at work. I just got finished with the monthly billing.
We are having a gorgeous day today. It’s currently sunny and 71. Too bad tomorrow is going to be cold and possibly rainy.

We are going to purchase the lightning lane for that one. Dh doesn’t want to take a chance wit VQ.

It was - 47C / -56F when I came into work this morning.

That’s crazy. I guess I can complain about 39 tomorrow.

35 more minutes and I can leave. I guess I’ll go file now.

Missed the 7 am VQ, but got the 1pm one. Pinged us around 4 pm. Let’s just say, not my favorite ride, and front seats this time. I needed to chill in Connections for a few minutes. Had Santa Angel quick service, for lunch, so had my tacos this Taco Tuesday. French dinner up soon. We have had great weather and enjoying our hotel. I think we are going to do HS tomorrow, though we saw nothing we’d rather eat there. Will see what’s available later tomorrow.

It`s that horrible damp cold that gets into your bones, but everyone was commenting at the weekend our winter hasn`t been bad at all, February can be brutal, but nowhere as near as you get!!

It`s to your credit you turn up at work even when you are poorly/don`t feel like it. Some don`t care even if it affects others.

Off to write another page on my trip report. Seems fitting to write about our trip while it's so grossly cold outside.

That`s too cold. No matter what temp you had, it`s too cold!!!

I`m quite embarrassed how long mine has taken to write this time, heck it`s February and not done yet. It is so time consuming, I`m considering whether I have the time to do any this year or not as I have a few projects to maybe take part in coming up. For me, as I babble so much, each post takes at least a couple of hours by the time I add pictures, so it`s something to think about for me.





Another cold and sunny morning for us, not going to get much warmer as the day goes on, just above 0c is our real feel, but won`t bother me today.

Salon day for me, four hours of pampering and relaxation. She does an Indian Head massage which is probably the nicest type of massage for me, neck too which is lovely. Going to stay with my hair sitting just above my shoulder, Olaplex conditioning treatment just because...and caramel and blonde high/lowlights I think, although she always offers something different for me to think about too.

Then tonight is my friend and I doing our salsa/dance session! 90 minutes of jiggling around trying to get our feet going the same way as others, there are more like us which is nice. Think we`re both finding the mambo the easiest one so far, but it`s different as it`s all solo dance so it`s more like an exercise class, but we laugh so much through it, the lady who takes it is fabulous and makes it fun too.

Had poached eggs for breakfast on toast, lunch will be a cajun chicken wrap when I get home and dinner will be baked cod in a lemon butter sauce and usual veg.

Time for another pot of tea before I head out.

Today’s Tuesday is being brought to you by Monday.
I got to work today to discover I made 2 blunders yesterday. The first one was that I cancelled the wrong client and scheduled someone else in that spot. Fortunately the second client scheduled was very understanding when I told her that I had to take her off the schedule today because of my error.
The second mistake was billing the wrong insurance plan for a client. That one wasn’t totally my fault though. The client didn’t tell me the plan number had changed.

Now there is a strange beeping/alarm coming from the closet where we have our modem. I’m currently waiting for Comcast to call me back. I looked at the equipment and can’t see any strange flashing lights or anything and we still have internet access.

March 8 can’t come soon enough.

Another record breaking cold morning. It was -48C /-56F

I always wonder why I chose to reincarnate this lifetime in such a cold temperature. My body aches when it's this cold, and to top it off, I tweaked my back after I unplugged my car . I shed a tear or two once I was settled at my desk and had a little pity party for me for a minute. People wonder why I hate winter so much. It's dark, cold, my body aches all the time and is tense from always being cold, and everything is gross and lifeless. I really do hate winter. Oh well, I will try to focus on warmer weather, sunshine and green lush trees!

I have to pick up gd and take her to swimming lessons, as dd flies out tonight for work. She was supposed to fly out this morning, but I'm assuming with the temperatures, they have cancelled some flights as it was just too cold. I am looking forward to watching her.

Nice! My last massage had - she worked on my neck and did some head massage as well. It felt absolutely wonderful.
My trip report is taking me longer - I tried last night and for some reason - I had weird screens popping up and had to restart. So I ran a complete scan on the laptop last night. Hopefully that will solve that pesky " telus survey" from popping up again. They REALLY don't want me to fill that out. Especially since we will be moving a good portion of our services to another company.

I got to work today to discover I made 2 blunders yesterday.

I hate when I make mistakes like that. But then I need to remind myself that I am only human - and we make mistakes.

I feel you on the " needing a holiday"

seemed like we had only two seasons.

I can definitely relate to that It feels like we only get a few really good nice hot days - then it starts getting cool again.

Well, I should run. My work computer doesn't like some of the ads that are on the pages.

Pumpkin I do hear you when you mentioned your weather.

I left southern Illinois for a job in Chicago and then a move to further north.

I whined daily about the temperatures.

It took us years to leave that state to move to the South.

Another ck in Lazy day so far, poolside again I’m a sucker for a great pool and a kind man

Lunch poolside, servings huge & house made old bay chips as a side

Turkey Sammie for the Mr, a really good Cuban with the tastiest pork ever for me Sadly, only made it half way thru but, picked off all that pork lol



Yesterday @ Epcot We ‘beat’ Lynne & got a 3 pm return time. Ten hours in the park, my feet were very vocal

Later afternoon will be off to MK, extended late hours will help the cause

Got flight notice from SWA, north getting an ice storm overnight. Took them up on changing tomorrow’s late flight originating in DC at 5 am (it will never take off on time, they have a horrible record in good weather)

Poured over flightaware & found one around 5 pm out of Houston/New Orleans. Didn’t want to stress all night over scrambling for a place to stay at airport tomorrow if things went with It’s not a fun thing

Dh doesn’t want to take a chance wit VQ.

We shut down all apps/settings & use data not WiFi 90+% of time get the am one

The afternoon seems more competitive and ir my theory…that they throttle the slots available if running behind

Never heard of that, have gotten many dreaded indian burns as a kid

I have missed things in Northern Illinois a lot.
Moved to Georgia 9 years ago.

There are times I wish we still lived in the north.
(referring to the people, not the weather.)

Where we live in Georgia is fine but it takes forever to get to know peeps.

We are in a hoa, and all keep quiet and to themselves.

We find to be a big plus.



Near sun down, the animals all return to their barns.

All the animals are moved around to different sections at times of the fields across the street from us.

At sun down, horses and cows head off to the barns.
