Just now trying to relax and play catch up in the disboards.
I am tired of being an adult and handling life event things.

Gonna stick my head in the sand for a few days and relax.


I am out of relatives now so believe I am safe
Only responsible to Mr Mac and my cats.
Life will be smooth again and back to my usual routine.



When we left the Chicago area, had some cities we felt would be great for us.
Was looking forward to settling in TN but ended up buying in GA but privately thinking Florida would be better.

After spending from 7 am to 10 pm in Ocala FL, was very happy we did not move there
It’s a lot hotter and more congested once we spend 5 days and nights there all this week

I like a soft spring type of weather which has no crazy drives

Can’t find the father day card I bought weeks ago so

Will hit walgreens today for a card

@Lynne G thanks for your good wishes. I will PM you. My oldest is coming along on trip and she’s excited about RP. She’s never stayed there. I think only ones she’s been to are PB and Sapphire. Maybe HR, can’t remember.
Wow, those storms sound scary. We seldom get T Storms on the west coast.

@keishashadow I‘m one of those who needs to know everything. It does make it easier for me to know what to expect.

@macraven Enjoy your break from adulting! I know how you feel. I had to organize my mothers care for years. There were plenty of days I just wanted to stick my head in the sand.

Ooh older one is out with me. Yay, he likes breakfast out. And so, waiting for our orders. Then shopping. Little does he know, crowds always at that big box store. Should be like Keisha and drive up.

I haven’t done much in my kitchen in a week as haven’t been home.
Reheating with the microwave doesn’t count for this morning.

Sent Mr Mac to the store to buy a roasting hen and potatoes

All are welcome to drop in at 6:00 and feed your face with us.

We have a dish washer so no one needed on clean up duty.

Would u believe I went out, jumped on my car with the brand new $200
Battery & it went click click instead of vroom vrooom

Battery had 19%. Called AAA promised to be there in one hour took 2-1/2 . Mr patiently waited.

Jumped into his truck, the one that has t been evaluated yet and drove the 3 miles to the stores. No tires fell off, will call it a win!

I’m thinking positively for tomorrow

Got the yellow cake done the mr favors. First batch of carrot cake cupcakes in and oven temp starting to slowly decrease on me again. Same as at Xmas. maybe gas line but no co2 monitor wailing.

Jury out on whether chicken fingers will land on the table

We have a dish washer so no one needed on clean up duty

Im telling you, playing in dish soap bubbles is seriously under rated

Man, how frustrating was that Keisha. Hope they gave you a battery that is 100 percent working.

Actually, even though parking lot was crazy crowded, not too bad a wait, as cashiers at Costco are usually fast. And with tag team ones, even faster. So, we picked a fast line, and back at car, with older one hauling our buys into and out of my car. Not as much traffic as on way to get there, then way to be back at home.

Thinking maybe bbq or pizza for dinner. Chinese May be what all want. Will ask for preferences soon enough. Snacked for lunch, as was very full from breakfast.

They lingered here last night. Wasnt supposed to have remnants of that band of storms here today. Not quite

Mr ran my DS back down to hospital
To pick up charging cord he left behind

On way back, on highway, out of nowhere a heavy storm cropped up. Couldn’t safely pull off, they just went slowly with flow of traffic. Turns out not slow enough

Hit a large puddle of runoff & wound up bouncing off cement Jersey barrier.

Thank God the mr is ‘a pro’, seeing lots of crazy stuff years ago when driving steel coils between employer’s nearby plants

Had to call state police as they wound up facing wrong way & couldn’t merge into the heavy traffic safely.

Truck was able to get turned around & limp home once the trooper stopped traffic to one lane.

Reported to ins co. Rather unhelpful. Will take to our body garage Monday for processing, as receptionist told me everyone was out of office early till Tuesday due to holiday.

Ah, yes, Juneteenth. No idea it was National one now.

Least the boys are just shook up & bit sore, could’ve been far worse. Thank you to their guardian angels

Good evening. I meant to post last night but fell asleep. Got some of my shopping done yesterday. I now have a canvas board to display my Disney and Universal buttons and pins. I also got an inexpensive frame for the Ursula sketch I did at DL. The big news of the day however, was that my diploma arrived. I have already put it in a nice frame. Today has been an exciting day of doing laundry.

youngest DS says he just cringes when he sends a referral request from his sales team over to intake with Anthem insurance involved. Says it’s rather infamous, in all regards

The funny thing is that I have Anthem for my health insurance and have never had an issue. I only have problems dealing with them from the provider's side.

Go out to car, hands full and it wouldn’t start Meanwhile in 80s & sunny standing on blacktop.

Called the mr first, half hour away, said to let him look before calling AAA. Traffic turned that into an hour.

Was battery, he tried both big portable charger & direct jump from his truck. Click click. Worst sound

Rush hour traffic, AAA driver didn’t show up for 2 hours, hr later than promised. Did replace the terminals too. Driver offered to buy my car if I decide to sell, old but low mile & pristine. Always nice to be asked

Ugh. What a pain.

Ah, time for tea and the puzzle that the slight changes in greens makes me work in it some, then take a break before trying it some more. It’s almost done, and will promptly be boxed up after I complete it, for my sister to do. I like to share the hard puzzles. LoL

I keep forgetting that I have unsolved puzzles. Now that school is over I have time to complete them.

So peaceful night, though around 10 I heard quite the number of M80’s set off right behind our house. Celebrating what? Who knows. Then, since it’s a clear night, heard a freight train whistle not that long ago.

That glorious sunshine started from the sunrise. DH was not a good sleeper, hence we were both us well before sunrise. At least that’s fine with me, holiday Monday, so if I am dragging on this Monday, have time to put out the trash and relax,

And so for us, a nice weather day for Father’s Day. And hope all enjoy this Sunday, where we think of dad, father or pa.

Pool time this afternoon. So nice pool has a heater. Where we live, only in the middle of summer does our pools get sunshine to warm them us enough to feel oh so close to bath water.

And so, that perfectly quiet, well, noisy DH, but enjoying that sunshine pouring through the windows. And cardinal said he was enjoying this early clear sky. Around 5 am was sounding that siren bird call to all its morning, and was quite loud as was next to our house. Hehe, we were already up.

Super nice Father’s Day Sunday to all.

Ooh hope Charsd did not have an early cat wake-up.

shout out to all those Daddies and those of us remembering that empty seat at the table today. make sure to give some extra long hugs this year, never know what is going to toss your way.

bought store bought cream cheese icing for the carrot cake cupcakes i made yesterday. I just can’t. Quick run to the store after the walk with the mr & whip up some. Meanwhile, he actually prefers the ready made chocolate icing.

Haven’t brought myself to go out and try to turn over the car, yet. If there is yet another issue with the battery, will call AAA a third time and have it towed to the garage For inspection.

Hehe I’ll be doing the steak grilling today as my mr prefers his…gasp, medium. Subconsciously, he just can’t produce a rare or medium rate one lol. Some of the brood coming soon for pool time & work on their tans, the rest for dinner.

However you spend the day, make it a good one!

We were so lucky in finding a cat sitter years ago when we did out of state trips
The vet group we use for our cats had two employees that did cat sitting as a side job.

We have hired the same tech every time we needed one.

I am starting to think our cat sitter will eventually become a millionaire…

Making more plans with the sitter for our next trip south.

As long as I have peace of mind, I am good.

Looks like a very nice day weather wise for us.

probably will go to the battle field for a hike after home from church in the afternoon

Mr Mac hit the grocery store this morning so we can start going back to our usual schedule this week.
Days after that will be returning to Ocala after probate.

Not a cat wake up, but I did wake up around 3:00 and couldn’t get back to sleep. I read half of a book before I started feeling sleepy again.

Days after that will be returning to Ocala after probate.

You’re probably going to have a trail worn between there & home by the time it’s all over. The process can move so slowly.

I’ve heard anywhere from two months to two years, hoping for the former for you.

Happy Fathers Day to all the fathers out there. We just got home from a Father’s Day luncheon at a friends house. We’re all stuffed! 2 kinds of chicken and a pork dish! We’re always well fed there.

Charade very exciting to receive your diploma!

Mac on fire ants. I got attacked one time when my mom loved in N. Miami Bch. We were at a beach on Biscayne Bay. I was waiting on line to get something to drink from the kiosk, when I felt my ankle stinging, looked down to see fire ants all over my feet and ankle. Fortunately there was a beach shower very close and I ran and washed them off. Couldn’t wear shoes for a week between the swelling and itching.

Keisha terrible about battery I’m frustrated with BCAA here. The waits are ridiculous.
