Hi

I've searched and searched the US boards for tips, but can't find much. They all seem to like the fancy resturants, which is no good for us.

Which Disney eaters are lovely, we prefer the buffee types like chef Mickeys and Hollywood and Vine.

can anyone suggest some places please.

Crystal Palace in MK and Ohana's at the poly are ghreat buffet places to eat! Also try the garden grill in Epcot, its a revolving restaurant - its all you can eat family style so they keep bringing plates to your table! If your specifically looking for Disney places to eat you could try getting this book "Birnbaums guide to Disney dining" it has a review of every restaurant on WDW property aswell as a price guide! its available from Amazon.

Check out www.allearsnet.com for menus. Try The Plaza in MK & Crystal Palace. Earl of Sandwich at DTD. GF Cafe. Rainforest Cafe at AK or DTD.

We particularly like the Cape May Clambake at the Beach Club. I HATE fish/shellfish and still found it the best buffet we've been to.

Probably the best-value of all the Disney eateries is the Trails End Buffet at the Fort Wilderness resort. It features masses of food, all of the downhome, barbecue variety, and is very reasonably priced for lunch or dinner (lunch is slightly better). It is open to all, not just Fort Wilderness guests, but can only be accessed via the bus service to FW (unless you want a LONG walk!), or by boat from the MK. FW is also a great place to visit if you have young children, and is well worth an hour or two to wander around.

Don't forget you can check all the menus right here on the Dis:

The great thing about our menu database is that you can specifiy from the options, how much you want to pay and it will select meals that meet your criteria.

My favourite buffet and cheaper meals are:

Cape May Cafe at the Beach Club (same price as Chef Mickey's)
The Plaza Restaurant in MK
Beaches & Cream at the Beach Club (5 mins walk or so from International Gateway in Epcot)
Earl of Sandwich at DTD (best sandwiches I have ever tasted here)
ABC Comissary in MGM. Food is quite bog standard counter service but I like the indoor palm trees, American TV and atmosphere here ;)
Boma - at AKL
Big River Grille at the Boardwalk
'Ohana (not that cheap but no more expensive than Chef Mickey's)

I'm sure there are loads more I love but that's off the top of my head :goodvibes
