We just returned & Yes, agreed! you must fastpass this ride ASAP when you arrive. We got a FP @ 11am for a 3-4pm return. When we returned the stand-by wait time was 70 minutes, took about 20 front entrance to exiting ride with FP.

Good luck & enjoy :goodvibes

I am a ride chicken, and this was my favorite ride EVER. It really feels like you are flying!

We LOVED it! Even my 6 y/o who is afraid of heights loved it! We were in row one, and it was fantaaaastic!! Great ride, but if you don't fast pass it, you will wait forever! We only got on once, because fast passes were gone early in the day!

I'm a ride chicken too, I loved soarin and can't wait to ride again. Altho' I did have to close my eyes a couple of times. LOL

Wait wait wait wait... I was just reading in my little Birnbaums' Guide Book that this ride holds you 45 feet in the air... how does that worK!?!?! :confused3

OK, all you folks who liked it, did you sit in the first (top) row or in another row? We sat in the third row and were so unimpressed that we never went back to give the top row a try. Should we do it on the next trip?

We sat in the second row and even though you can see the peoples feet dangling.... it was Awesome. I was able to just concentrate on the screen and forgot all about the dangling feet. This is a great ride, one of the best.

People sit in a row of about 15... each person has their own little chair. There are three rows... and your legs dangle.

To lift you up in the air it moves forward and then up.... I saw something on the Travel Channel about the guy who designed it using an erector set to come up with the idea.

Hope this kind of explained it

I loved, loved, loved Soarin. We got there at 11:30 on Sat and it had a 90 minute wait and the fast pass return time was 6:00
We decided to wait in line and I am SO GLAD WE DID. It was awesome and I loved answering the trivia questions in line. They definitely made the time go by quicker. I wish they had those screens in all of the waiting areas.

there are 3 rows only the first row takes you up 45 feet the second row is i think 30 and the 3rd row is 15.. my ds doesnt like heights so he sat in the 15 foot row but the second time he went for the 45 because he loved it so much... i sat in all 3 rows and i thought it was awsome no matter where you sit!!!! one more hint soarin is one of the rides open late so we went on during the fireworks with almost no wait

A truly amazing ride. IMO, the best in all of the parks. We sat front row center and were completely blown away from beginning to end... an exhilirating experience.

It's an instant classic :earsboy: This is an example of just about everything Disney does best. It only lacks a story. :earsboy:

We loved soarin so much!!!! I dont like heights so I was a little scared the first time. There is nothing to be scared about! We rode it 4 times this past trip. Every time we got first row. It was magical!!

Soarin is my new favorite ride at Epcot. It was such a thrill to experience something so close to hang gliding (which I will never ever do in real life!)

It is fantastic. I was a bit nervous, my dad said I was even white knuckled but it was very slow and nothing jerky and very fun. My 4.5 year old did fantastic on it and when we "landed" then started crying! I told him he was ok, only to find out when we were walking down the hall that he was crying because he wanted to fly again.

We actually did stand-by because when we got done with lunch at GG (at 230) all the fast passes for the day were gone. It said 50 minutes but we got there in about half hour. Worth the wait if you have to.
