So that's why you packed 10 pairs of underwear!!! A Surprise trip Nov. 13

After our wonderful lunch at BOG, we sped off to try to make all of our FP+ reservations. First up we had grabbed fastpasses for Little Mermaid. I LOVE this ride. I know that most people do not like it and think it was poorly done but I just adore it. My pictures however do not do it justice at all!!

We decided to move our Peter Pan fastpass for later in the day. This would be the ONLY time all week that we were able to switch a FP+ time.

After riding Little Mermaid, we headed off towards the back walkway to Tomorrowland Speedway. It began to rain so we decided to duck into the bathrooms by Barnstormer to put on our ponchos after using the restroom. We put on our ponchos and began to walk to the Speedway when we realized that it had stopped raining already so we stopped and some of us took off our ponchos. :rolleyes1

You can see DS7 and DH sorta in this pic. It rained a LOT in that little bit of time but it's all good now.

We were a little early for our fastpasses at

so DH and DS7 grabbed paper fastpasses for Space Mountain and we decided to ride PeopleMover first.

We love the People Mover. No matter how many times a trip we ride it, it never seems to get old.

And then folks, the most awesome thing happened!!! Going into Space Mountain we could see that the lights were on and DH said, "Oh yeah we are going to get to see inside!"

This is the first part where they are above you.

Once we got to the second part inside of Space Mountain, we got stopped!! YAY!!! Right next to the big window looking into the ride!!! I was :woohoo:

Don't ask....I don't know what that is.....you don't follow my TR for the awesome pics right!??!?!

Excuse DH's head. Another awesome photo!

Whoa that's a LOT of metal!!

How in the world do they fit people in there?!?!?!?

And with that, our little train zoomed off. The boys were worried that they would not be able to ride Space because it was obviously closed. Poor DS7!! He had finally built up the courage to ride and now he may have to wait on it!

Up next - Tomorrowland Speedway and time for our Space Mountain ride but would it be open?

Goodness how do I miss these things!! :rotfl: ANOTHER trip! :thumbsup2

Ok, I'm convinced that BoG for lunch is far better than dinner. I have yet to test that theory but maybe next trip! I love that room with all the portraits. Is that the library? Awesome theming for sure.

Oh man, I still have yet to see SM with the lights on. I would be so excited to see that. Since Peoplemover is one of my favorites I keep trying over and over to get that glimpse of SM down for maintenance.

Subscribing since I'm in....

You missed it because you were away at Disney World yourself!!! I am loving your TR with the Dream Suite in it. :thumbsup2

We love both BOG lunch and dinner. On our next trip we weren't able to score BOG dinner reservations yet because we were initially offsite. I hope we can get lunch reservations!!

Yes it is the library!! It's gorgeous and as usual my pictures do not do it justice so you really should book it for your next trip!! We really thought about trying for a second lunch at BOG but we never did log on to get a fastpass.

It was SOOOO cool to see all of the parts of Space in the light.

Super cool photos from the inside of SM! Wow!!

It was amazing to see and even better to get stopped right at the window. So neat to see inside the ride!!

I love the pics of SM and BOG. We didn't get to eat in bog last time, I'm hoping to do it in 2015.

BOG is totally worth it either for lunch or dinner. We love both!! For dinner we all get the steak and fries. I think I will have pics of that from later in the week later on!

Soon we were heading off to Tomorrowland Speedway for our FP+ time.

Would we be in the Winner's Circle when the race was over?

My fearless driver sure tried his best but our car would not cooperate. We bounced all over the road hitting the bar in the middle so many times!!! We were laughing; we were crying; it was great stuff!

See that blue car on the right?? Yep that's DH and DS7. They are in the same lane as us believe it or not. :rotfl2:

They really are right in front of us except we went from far left to far right the ENTIRE time!!

See?? Told you!! It was about this time that the young girl (about 10) behind us didn't see us stop. No clue what she was looking at but it wasn't us. Texting??? Maybe......whatever she was doing, she was NOT paying attention and she slammed into us HARD. We were good though and just laughed about it.

I always take a pic of this sign because I love how they call it a "spectacle" but this time it was truly a spectacle!!! Whew, we exited our cars and began to make our way back to Space Mountain to check on our FPs.

Space Mountain was up and running. DH and DS7 went inside while DS11 and I headed into the dump shop at the end of the ride. DS11 walked around the arcade while I waited at the exit of the ride. In one of the groups exiting, a young girl was with them. She was in tears saying, "That was the worst thing ever!!!" I began to get nervous about DS7.

A few minutes later, a young boy came out with his family. He was a little pale, slightly wobbly and complaining about not feeling well after the ride. Now I was downright scared and would have gone through the line to tell them not to ride if I could have.

Before I could worry too much I spotted DH and DS7 with DS7 running ahead of him screaming, "THAT WAS AWESOME!!!" I guess I had nothing to worry about after all!

For the record, I think DH was a nervous wreck during the ride and held onto DS's head most of the time because they couldn't sit side by side! lol.....maybe I wasn't the only worried one.

DS7 had been pestering us ALL morning to go on Splash Mountain. After looking at my weather app, we realized that the only good day to ride SPlash was today. We didn't have Fastpasses for it so we would have to wait in line. It looked to be a 30 minute line so we decided to head on over!

Loving your TR! I love the video of your surprise, the underwear comment is something that I can see my DS doing as well!

I love the Peoplemover as well, so cool that you got to see SM with lights on!

:welcome: DS was really concerned about those underwear!!! :rotfl: We seriously still pick at him to this day!!

Peoplemover is one of our favorites and seeing Space with the lights on made it even more enjoyable!!!

We were heading over to Splash Mountain since the line was fairly short. It was still a pretty cool day but the boys really wanted to ride it so I agreed. I had read somewhere that Disney controls just how wet you may get and really hoped that the rumor was right. I hoped they had the "soak factor" turned WAY down today.

We figured that instead of heading all the way over to the other side of the park walking. We would just take a stroll on the train around to the other side. It might take a little longer but it would save our feet for later in the trip. So we headed over to the New Fantasyland station.

It was at this point that I posted this picture of my sweet boy still all smiles from loving Space Mountain so much!!

We hopped on the train pretty close to the front and settled ourselves in for a nice relaxing trip. Right before we were "all aboard" two families got on. One family sat 2-3 rows in front of us. One family sat in the row behind us. They literally screamed to each other in a foreign language for the ENTIRE trip to the front of the park. :sad2: It was so loud that my boys were covering their ears!!! When we got to Main Street, I thought about getting up and moving but the train was pretty full and we were afraid to get left behind so we stayed in the same spots. The family unfortunately was heading to Frontierland as well so they stayed on too. On the way from Main Street to Frontierland the boy behind me (probably 8-9) made a megaphone out of a piece of cardstock that he found on the floor of the train and began screaming in it while swinging it wildly in every direction. He hit me in the back of the head a few times. No reprimand from the parents, no apologies, nothing......luckily right before I was going to lose it, the train reached the station and we all hopped off the train. So much for relaxing on the train!! All of our nerves were on edge now but hey at least we were here! Splash, please don't soak us today!

For some reason I have no pictures of any of these things. Maybe it was that we were in a bad mood or the line moved pretty fast (which it did....maybe there weren't many crazy people to ride Splash on a cool day?). Sorry for the lack of pictures!! They will start again shortly but for now, we were in line for Splash and it moved fast. In no time we were at the top and on the ride. It was awesome as usual. The boys loved every detail BUT....it was so wet!!! As we turned the outside corner where you can see the people coming down, someone set off the sprays and voila, yours truly had a soaked booty. We got to the big drop and OMG, this was the wettest I have EVER gotten on Splash. My whole right side (the side closest to the sprayers on that curve) was soaked as was DH's. He was NOT happy! :confused3 So if someone tells you that you will not get soaked in the winter on Splash DO NOT believe them!!! :rotfl:

The boys really wanted to play Sorcerer's of the Magic Kingdom and although I really don't like this game, I enjoy the rest that it gives us so we went to a portal to find our "land".

We would be working in Fantasyland. The portals in Fantasyland are so close that I'm okay with letting the boys play right outside of Sir Mickey's while I shopped for a minute. DS11 is old enough to watch his brother and responsible enough to get help if needed and besides, that store has so many entrances that it's almost an outdoor store as it is.

You can see DS7 was a little wet on Splash. I wish I would have had DH take a picture of me!! Whew....

Having saved Fantasyland from evil villains we decided to see Philharmagic! This is one of my favorite screen shows at Disney. I love the way it ties all the movies in together with smells and surprises! DS7 does not like it because he loves Donald and he hates that Donald gets beat up in the show.

These movie posters are so funny!! Something we noticed on this trip that we had never noticed before was that Mickey's Philharmagic says that "The doors open automagically towards you." We repeated this saying every time we had to wait for a door to open on the rest of the trip. It has become one of our "Disney sayings" now, like "Please stand clear of the doors."

After Mickey's Philharmagic, we decided to get snacks. Both of the boys wanted Mickey ice cream sandwiches. We knew that blue carts had them but we had no idea where a blue cart was. DS11 told us that he had seen a blue cart "Just over there" a little earlier and to follow him. A bit skeptically we decided to follow him and soon we were seeing....

Yay for smart observant kids!!!! He's always hungry so that helps as well!!

We sat in the arch way between old and new Fantasyland to eat our treats. Well some of us sat and some of us danced.....

Sorry for the blurry pic. He was spinning and dancing away enjoying his ice cream.

Look Mom I ate his ear!!

My frozen banana was good too but it was frozen SOLID. I had to wait a while before I could actually bite through it.

This area was not crowded at all because it was behind the Pinnochio Village Haus walls. I am not even sure if people knew that it was somewhere you could go but my boys spotted a CM playing with toys and decided to join her!

She let them try their hand at the marionette but neither one seemed interested. They played a few games of tic tac toe while I finished my treat.

Finally it was time for Peter Pan!! This is one of our favorite rides but it's hard to photograph it and this time we were looking for Hidden Mickey's so I put my camera away and just enjoyed the ride!

After Peter Pan it was time to head out as we had dinner plans for this evening!! We got into the line and immediately got a blue Mickey head which means you can't pass. Uh - oh, but I switched our FP+ for this time, I know I did. Actually we were 8 minutes earlier so we had to exit the line and hang out for 3 minutes since they do let you in 5 minutes earlier as part of your "window".

The mosaics in Cinderella's castle are gorgeous!

I believe that is the door that leads to the Dream Suite!! EEK!! I'll have to pay better attention next time!

Oh no!! What's that I hear?? Yes it's a parade! We are going to get stuck if we don't hurry!! We walked quickly into a store and all the way to the front! Soon we were on our way out!

The flag's were all at half mast in honor of JFK for the anniversary of his assassination.

We took the monorail to the TTC and boarded the Epcot monorail there.

Coming up - our evening at Epcot and what ADR did we have since we really aren't brave eaters!?!?

Oh man, I have no idea why those three are sideways!!! Please just turn your head on those! That's the kind of high quality TR you are reading right here!!

Nothing looks sideways to me :thumbsup2 Plus I wouldn't even attempt to do a TR so you get props for that!

:welcome: Thanks for letting me know!! Wonder why they are sideways for me? :rotfl: I write TRs because no one at home wants to listen to me retell the story complete with pictures a million times! :rolleyes1

Our first day at Epcot on this trip and sadly we are only here for dinner but we are a little bit early. In fact, we are a couple hours early so we have time to enjoy some of our favorites.

Another flag at half mast and look at those skies!!! It was an absolutely gorgeous day and at about this point, DH and I turn to each other to say that November is the time to go to Disney!! Wait a few days and that will change but for now, the temps are great, the crowds are low, and we are having a wonderful time!

Cute Christmas topiaries made me miss Flower and Garden Festival

The first Disney trip we ever took was during Flower and Garden Festival. Being completely new to Disney, I assumed that most of those topiaries were regulars and not special for the festival. :guilty:

Love these!

Taking a pic with Stitch! Check out DS7's eyes....he has serious sun issues!! :sad2:

A little hungry Stitch??

I think I have more photos of the Epcot "ball" than I do of Cinderella's Castle. I just love to photograph it but I must say that this is one of my favorite day pics of it!

While photographing the fountain, we noticed that there was no line for Spaceship Earth so we hopped on.

This was one of the first rides that DS7 and DS11 could ride together. The CM checked his age and allowed them to go in a car by themselves. They were so excited; I was so nervous!! I know, I know like what could happen?? lol....

Their future!

Putting body parts back in the correct spots

We also gave energy to the buildings in the town by playing "shuffleboard". Those sticks are SO heavy for small kids!

After exiting Spaceship Earth, we decided to head towards our country for dinner. We stopped to enjoy the fountain.

At this point DH notices the stage and asks me what it's for. :confused3 What am I? Your local Disney expert? I don't know what it's for!! Let's go look.

We walk around to the other side of the fountain and see that it is for a Christmas performance which starts on November 29, the DAY we leave. We also read that Holidays Around the World starts on November 29 as well as Candlelight Processional. DH turns to me and kid you not says, "Well I didn't know that. You should have told me. We could have stayed longer." *facepalm* To which I get a little irate and say, "I DID tell you that and you DID NOT care. You said that you wanted to be home for the weekend. Remember it was me who convinced you not to travel on Thanksgiving day?!!?!?" He agreed that he remembered and said that we may have to see if our off site hotel has any rooms available for the Friday night so we could come back. Hello??!?!??!?! :rolleyes1 :confused3

And with that we were off to head to the countries.....

Sorry for the short update but I have a million things to do so I figured a short update was better than no update!

Ok, I know I WAS subbed to this thread, maybe I hit the button twice and unsubbed? Anyway, sorry!! I'm gone catching up!

Ok, I know I WAS subbed to this thread, maybe I hit the button twice and unsubbed? Anyway, sorry!! I'm gone catching up!

Welcome back!!! It's o.k. I always read people's TR at work on my phone during break so I usually just lurk because I don't type really well on my phone.

I'm still enjoying yours and your tonga toast looked great but I think that's too many flavors for me.

Hope you are staying warm with all of this crazy winter weather!!!

O.k. ya'll we had a "snow" day yesterday!!! I'm like as far south as you can go here at the edge of the Gulf of Mexico. How in the world do we get snow days?? It was honestly just a lot of ice that didn't defrost until this morning around lunch but it has caused some major issues because we are not equipped to handle any at all. We don't have any salt trucks or snow tires or any of the winter stuff you guys have. This was a once every 10-20 years event. CRAZY!!!! But we enjoyed our day home and we played in what we could.

Now back to our story.....

When I left off we had JUST discovered (YEAH right!!!) that the Christmas stuff did not start until the day we leave to head home. :offtopic: Men don't listen!!!!

So we headed towards World Showcase in order to get closer to our dinner. We came up on the topiaries and got in line to take our picture with them. The couple in front of us was taking pictures of each other with their camera so I offered to take a pic of them together. They agreed and we took their picture. They thanked us many times and left.

We took a couple pictures of our boys when the people behind us offered to take our picture as well.

How sweet of them!! Then we offered to take their picture to return the favor. Finally after all that sweetness, we were on our way but not before we make some Mickey ears.....

Disney makes us silly!!!

The gorgeous tree at Epcot

Love how the ornaments for each park/hotel are symbols of that place!!

Happy Holidays was written in several different languages and placed throughout the tree.

See these beautiful snowflakes?? I decided I wanted to take a pic of my boys in front of them!

We had a good first picture but when I wanted to take a second one......

They are Disney drunk!!! Whew Disney makes us silly!

We hopped on the Friendship Boat which was standing room only and noticed that our favorite captain was driving!!! We love Captain Redbeard and got to ride with him many times this past summer when we stayed at Beach Club. He is a great driver (trust me, some of them aren't!! I got "sea"sick one time this summer from spinning in circles.) and he is hilarious! He was driving today but his co-pilot was just as funny. She had us all laughing all the way to Germany. She let us know that she and Captain Redbeard would be making the trip from Mexico to Germany back and forth all night. We were not able to catch Captain Redbeard to say hi when we docked but we decided to try on our way back.

We were still fairly early for our reservation. Looking back I'm not quite sure why we came over so early but I guess we were afraid to be late. :confused3

We used out Hidden Mickey book to find HM's throughout Italy.

SPOILER ALERT - Here are some pics of the HM's.

This is on the front of the counter in the wine shop. People were a little ummmm creeped out by us going in that small space with our book and camera but you only live once right?? We are country people....sorry!

Can you find it? It's hard to see even in the picture! It's behind a statue in Italy.

Maybe you can see it better here.....

We stopped at the Kidcot to color.

DS 7 wanted a Perry on a stick but the lady helping us said that they only had Duffy on a stick left. He came back to me and told me that he would wait til the next country so he could get Perry.

DS11 went over to color (he's still a big kid) and the other lady at the color tables gave DS11 a Perry. :confused3 DS7 BOLTED over there and asked her for one. She gave him one as well. I'm not sure if there was a language barrier between DS7 and the first lady or she didn't realize that the other girl had some Perry's left but DS7 was super happy. I was being a bad mom and sitting in the iron chairs next to the KidCot watching the Ziti sisters.

The architecture in Italy is beautiful even in my low grade camera and off center photos! :rotfl:

Once they finished coloring and the performance was over we decided to head closer to dinner. No Via Napoli this trip...... Maybe one day!

Next we came to a stop in America where we spotted.....

Oh cool, Santa's village and Santa shows up .......you guessed it, the 29th!! DH mentions again that we probably need to come back here on the 29th and brave the crowds to see the holiday stuff. I could have :badpc: him!!!

Another gorgeous tree....

Love the ornaments!!! So many unique items in the trees....

We went through the shop in America. DH spotted the place where Candlelight Processional was going to be held and he mentioned again how he wished he had known all of this started the day we were leaving and I :furious:. I stopped him and told him that we had discussed this MANY MANY times at home and that it had not changed his mind in the slightest even though we could have stayed. I told him that I didn't want to hear another thing about not knowing for the rest of the trip and he agreed not to say anything else. With that behind us, we headed off to dinner in this country.

SO where are we eating?

:welcome: Maybe so!!! I live in southwest Louisiana so it may be close! I see your ticker for a first trip. First trips are AMAZING!!! I was looking through pictures tonight of our first trip with the boys and oh how they have grown!!

What are you most looking forward to?
