So Much To Celebrate - LIFE and Sophie Kate!

It looks like you had a wonderful weekend. Thanks for sharing it with us. I'm glad you put your picture taking in perspective... it was great to see you all together

It's nice for us all to be together. Drew is usually working, traveling, or otherwise running around, and he's not with us when we eat. He's not big on family parties, but he was nice enough to hang out and endure it for mother's Day. ;) Surprisingly, he was the first child to tell me Happy Mother's Day this year, and that was without Jill or Trent or a girl friend reminding him. I'd say 2013 is memorable because of that!

Looks like you had a lovely weekend!
The girls were so cute at the shower!!

AH, AKL! One of my favorites! Love that shop too!
Did that little guy come home with the treats too?

Or perhaps you're going to Kidani?

The girls enjoyed the shower. Brooklynn was in charge of handing the gifts to Brandi, and Bell was in charge of giving the bows and ribbons to a friend who was collecting them. Brooklynn was happy to get a flower from the cake, and Bella discovered that she loves quiche. :goodvibes

You know, I won't even know where we are going until I see the next pictures. I start out taking such good notes, but I fade out after a few days and end up relying on my pictures only for recalling events. I wish I would do better at keeping the details.

What a nice Mothers Day weekend! And I'm very glad we get to see your smiling face

You know me, I love the shopping pictures!!

I know I enjoy looking at the merchandise through pictures, but sometimes I have to wonder if anyone else really wants to three hundred Disney items in one post!

Sounds like you had a lovely weekend, and good to see a pic of u with your kids.

As you know, I love that gift shop at the AK...so unique in so many ways.

And the pool area is so pretty.

I love the pool area at Animal Kingdom Lodge. It brings back wonderful memories of when we stayed there. There is a kind of mixed atmosphere there - there is plenty of activity, yet it is in a fairly peaceful setting. I love all the palm trees, of course.

What a great pic of your family (and you;))! I am glad you had a great weekend. I had a wonderful Mother's Day too. My sweet boys made me cards and took me to dinner at our local Japanese grill. They love to watch the chef and the big flames are a hit too. I spent the day with my Mom and sister today. Have a great day tomorrow at school. We are counting down at our house. Only 1.5 weeks of school left!

Two weeks for us, and then the kids are out. Teachers have to go back the day after Memorial Day, and then we're finished.

This is a really good picture of you and your kids. You are one blessed Mama, I know that your children happen to love you very much as well....

Oh and just want to add, your hair looks great!

My hair should never be in a sentence with the word great! I hope I can get it to look halfway decent for wedding day.

I am blessed. I have had 31 years of abundant joy because of my kids. There have certainly been trials and struggles along the way, but the love surpasses any of that a thousand-fold.

What she said!
::yes::

:goodvibes You are too kind.

Your family picture was wonderful, I know you will enjoy having the moment captured on film.

As always I love the shopping pictures.

I will allow a handful of pictures to be left behind when I am gone, but most pictures of me are horrible, so I don't want the girls to remember me like that.

Happy Mother's Day, a little late (depending on your time zone).

Sick of shopping??? Who could be sick of Disney shopping pictures? Now I will admit I am not a big fan of "real world" shopping (like many men, I'm sure), but I view Disney shopping like everything else Disney - can't get enough of it.

It will be interesting to see what the new version of DTD offers us in the way of Disney shopping. It's hard to believe they are going to make World of Disney even larger!

Oops - I'm late to the party as usual

belated Happy mothers day to everyone - sounds like you enjoyed your day.

I had a lovely day with my mum, dad, sister and her family. The weather was beautiful even though we are meant to be in winter now and it has been dreadful - the day dawned sunny and not too cold so we were able to enjoy our lunch outside.

Memom, what a lovely photo of you and your kids - it's lovely to see one of you and you all look so happy and have beautiful smiles.

Little Sophie Kate is growing up so fast - what a cutie.

Nearly bedtime so will catch up again soon

Sophie is such a joy to be around. She smiles all the time. A lady sitting behind us at the football game was enjoying talking to her and watching her smile.

Glad you had a nice time with your family. We didn't eat lunch outside, but that sounds fun. I wish I had a screened in porch so that we could eat outside, yet inside away from wind and insects..... and possibly hungry squirrels. :)

And today, Mother's Day lunch at 50's Prime Time Cafe.

What a great idea! I LOVE that!

And you might be surprised, but I did willingly take a picture. I guess I was thinking that you never know when this might be your last Mother's Day, so if it is, I hope my kids will recall us having a fun day together.

Awesome picture!

Love the pictures of Sophie in your last update. Sound like you had an awesome Mother's day weekend. The shower looks like a lot of fun, too.

Love all your AK pictures. When I saw the pool picture and I could think was "why can't I be there right now?"

Great updates!

Love seeing the shower pics. Brooklynn looked so cute sitting right there by Brandi.

Very glad to see you in a picture with your kids. As Anita said it is a great picture of all of you.

Aw what a beautiful cake Brooklynn made for Jill. So pretty!!

I never get sick of shopping pics. I took some this trip but not as many as usual.

How has re-entry into real life been?

The shower was nice. The host house was beautiful. Makes mine look like quite a dump!

 HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!

I'm so glad you had a lovely weekend with your family....I'm sure that is all you needed to make you smile and warm your heart.
That is a great pic of you and your kids.

Brooklynn did an awesome job on the cake for Jill!

I had a wonderful time with my DMom and Lexi shopping and laughing.
I had a fantastic steak & rib diner Saturday night and a lovely Mother's Day brunch at our hotel yesterday. Our desserts were decorated with orchids..so pretty!

My children got me a new Dooney & Bourke bag. (Disney World parks) LOVE IT! I am most thankful that God blessed me with my two kids and gave me the best Mother in the world! I adore her!!! :lovestruc

My prayer is for us to have a decent life here and heaven forever together when this is over. Having them around is a joy in itself, but I did get a couple of sweet, thoughtful gifts, too.

Brooklynn was very proud of her cake. ::yes::

Glad you enjoyed a good weekend. Steak and ribs - YUM!
Very nice purse! :thumbsup2

Sorry I missed you yesterday.

Happy Belated Mothers Day MeMom and Jill.

Thanks, Dad! Hope you guys had a wonderful weekend honoring Ma!

I'm glad you had such a nice mother's day Memom and Jill. I love your family picutre. I love the 50's Prime Time theme. It is one of my favorite WDW restaurants.

It was the first thing that came to mind when I added 'mother' and 'Disney restaurant'. Trent thought it was Sci-Fi, though, at first. :upsidedow

First attempt from the Photobucket mobile app, hope it works

Here is my Mother's Day view from our room at the Boardwalk!

We were also fortunate to be able to have lunch at 50's Prime Time Cafe at DHS yesterday.

That is a great location!

I bet your Prime Time meal was much better than mine.

For real! That's a great spot.

What a fun view! Nothing like being in on all of the pool action and being able to see George spitting out the people!

Very nice place to be - unless you are freaked out by George. ;)

Looks like you had a wonderful Mother's Day! I hope no one got scolded for elbows on the table, LOL. That is a great picture of you and your kids. I am the same about pictures usually, but at Disney I am in them. I had a great day with my kids, grandkids, and my mom and I feel very lucky to have them all live close enough to see them all the time. Boy is Sophie growing and what a cutie. I can really see how much she looks like Jill now.

I am sure glad none of my kids live far away. I would probably do a lot of crying!

Jill will have to put the baby pictures on here that she put on FB. Sophie has that same face, just a little fuller.

Wonderful picture of you and the kids!!! Sounds like you had a great Mother's Day! I spent mine cleaning as Mom comes in Tuesday and our house isn't ready for company!

It's Tuesday. Hope you got it all done. If not, I'm betting your mom will not care one bit!

Mmmmmm, I think I would like some of Brook's cake too!

She took the leftovers home with her. That may have been what the girls were trying to get into last night when Jill sent them to bed early. I have not talked to her to know the story.

So glad you all had a nice mother's day together. Can i just say about that family picture...not only are you in a picture, but you are smiling, and it's a great smile!! Perfect picture, totally frame-worthy!!

Love Brooklyn's cake!! I'm sure she had a blast decorating it! I got a similar one, too...gotta love Publix!! I think it's so sweet that they do that for the kids so they feel like they really had a hand in putting something together for the moms. And, they are pretty delish, too!

Yes, that was a very good idea. I should have done something on a smaller scale for my school kids. I could have had them decorate a cupcake for their moms.

I can't smile naturally in pictures because I have a big gap from dental issues. :( I am extremely self-conscious about it, so I try to come up with a half smile that will work. I usually just look stupid. ::yes::

What a great idea! I LOVE that!

Love all your AK pictures. When I saw the pool picture and I could think was "why can't I be there right now?"

Great updates!

I didn't get to put pictures up last night, but I will do a new update tonight.

We like to use Disney themes - resorts, restaurants, movies, etc. - at our meals when we all get together. The guys make fun of it, but when we don't have one, they wonder why we don't!

I know what you mean about the pool picture. It would be so nice to wake up and take a walk around AKL this morning.

****************************************

Sorry I did not get an update in last night. I plan to do that right after I get home this afternoon. Have a good day, all! It's supposed to be 84 degrees and sunny here today! :cool1:

Love your family picture! I am so glad you took it with them. :thumbsup2 Sorry you have to go back after Memorial Day. That stinks. I am just trying to get through this next week and a half with the boys. Cooper still has tests this week and all the Field Day fun. Blake has field day too next week and then it's over! I still work, but I do not have to get two boys ready every night and traffic is much better. :rotfl: Have a great Tuesday! Can't wait to see more pics. When are you leaving for Vero?

Happy belated Mother's Day! Looks like you had a wonderful day, MeMom! It must have been such a joy to have your family together under one roof :) I love the picture of you with your kids -- you all look so happy :goodvibes

As always, Brooklynn, Bella, and Sophie are just precious. I love the picture of Brooklynn and Bella being greeters at the shower and the one of Trent holding Sophie at the Disney Store. Too sweet!

What a splendid Mother's Day! I'm so happy to see a photo of MeMom and her great three kiddos. What blessings! :goodvibes

So when is Trent and Brandi's big day? I bet you are all very excited!

Our Field Day is Friday, but I will be in Alabama at Brooklynn's graduation, so I'll miss it.

We'll be in Vero June 15th. So excited! :cool1:

Trent took over Sophie when we got the the mall. He thinks she's adorable! ;)

I am happy when I am with my kids, and I am at my happiest when I am with them in Disney World. :goodvibes Being away from our normal lives, having fun on rides, and just sitting around eating and talking together - it's the best!

So when is Trent and Brandi's big day? I bet you are all very excited!

They are getting married in July. We will share pictures when it is all said and done.

I hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day, too, sweet friend.

Tomorrow is the day!!! I'll text you sometime and let you know! :hyper:

I know! I have been thinking of it so much! After you text me, will you come and share here with everyone else?

:earsgirl: or :earsboy: for tinkgurl? What does everyone think?

Now, on to.....

Oct2012Middle1109.jpg

Oct2012Middle1110.jpg

We waited outside while John and Brooklynn rode Mission:Space. Sophie is less than happy here. She was still having her severe acid reflux issues, and she was miserable much of the time. Poor baby.

Oct2012Middle1111.jpg

Jill says this is all we did here, and then we went back to the room. She reminded me that this trip had a lot, lot, lot of rest time.

There was a short evening swim before an early bedtime.

The next day was October 12th.

Two-thirds of the fun girls were up and ready.

Documentation of date and time.

What it looked like outside.

Waking up Magic Kingdom.

Ready for early entry.

A sweet DIS friend, Cathy, made these shirts for all the girls.

Blurry monorail picture.

'Old' machines.

Happy jack-o-lanterns.

Puppy at work.

The girls must have gotten a good night's sleep, as they appear to be ready to roll for this day.

Sophie's legs are not that skinny these days. That little eating machine has some big old hambones now! ;)

Good morning, friends!

Won't you come and join us at the most magical place on earth?

Looks like you guys all had a nice Mother's Day weekend! Such a lovely picture of you and your family! :goodvibes. I spent the weekend in Indiana visiting for some family birthdays ( including my niece's second birthday party which was Minnie's bow-tique themed! :thumbsup2). I wish I could figure out how to get the pictures from my phone onto the dis!

I love the picture of the three girls infront of the train station! I've said it before and I'm sure I will again - they are SO CUTE! :goodvibes

A good night's sleep can make a world of difference the next day. :goodvibes

I'm going to miss see the Halloween decorations this year...it's so pretty at that time.

Monday was tough trying to come back to the "real world". Lots of emails & things to do at work. UGH!! I fell asleep on the couch last night.;)

Aw poor Sophie with her acid issues. Ryan had it so bad for about the first 4 months. It was awful and I was crying right along with him.

Wow you all were up early!!!! What time did MK open??? Love the pic of the girls in front of MK.:goodvibes

Early morning at MK! Hope wonderful. My kids joke that morning at WDW has a certain smell. I laugh but I think so too. Sweet girls look like they are ready for a day of fun. Can't wait to hear more. Yay for Vero in one month!!

A sweet DIS friend, Cathy, made these shirts for all the girls.

I love this picture! Just look at it. The way Jill is looking at her girls speaks volumes. What a great mom she is! :goodvibes You have such a great family.

Waking up Magic Kingdom has got to be one of the best places to wake up. Yes please!

An update that includes Epcot AND Magic Kingdom (plus a peek at Pop!) is an update I can get on board with! Those girls are just so precious. That was such a sweet idea for shirts, what a nice DISer. :goodvibes

You have been busy with school. Very understandable. This is a busy town!

Are you taking the summer off, or are you taking some classes?

I'm almost positive I'm taking at least one class. I still have to take a lab science for the general education requirements, and that would be easier to take in the summer since it's hard to schedule the class time and the lab time around three other classes. My school does two summer sessions. The first one starts on Monday, so if I take the class, I'll take it in the second session. I just finished school two days ago, I definitely don't want to start again on Monday :faint: I need a break first

I'm anxiously waiting to get my last grade. So far I have an A and two B's. I made the Dean's List for the first time last semester, and depending on my last grade I might make it again.

You know, we have thought of doing a Minnie's Bow-tique theme. Maybe for Sophie's 2nd or 3rd birthday we can do that. It could be so cute! I'd love to see some pictures.

A good night's sleep can make a world of difference the next day. :goodvibes

I'm going to miss see the Halloween decorations this year...it's so pretty at that time.

Yes, and Jill certainly needed to still be resting tons at this point. ::yes::

I will miss being there in October, too. It is a great time to go. I'll see October 2014, though, if all goes as planned.

It takes several nights to catch up on sleep after a Disney trip.

Sophie would eat and spit it all back up, and you know it was just awful for her. She still spits up a little but nothing like what she did.

I guess that was an 8 o'clock morning, but we were there a little after 7.

Early morning at MK! Hope wonderful. My kids joke that morning at WDW has a certain smell. I laugh but I think so too. Sweet girls look like they are ready for a day of fun. Can't wait to hear more. Yay for Vero in one month!!

I don't know about out in that front area, but as soon as you hit Main Street, you can smell SUGAR!

Marc made our Vero turtle walk reservation today. :cheer2:

Cathy is a very giving DIS friend. She is always sewing things, selling them, and then donating to Give Kids the World. She's pretty much awesome in my book. :goodvibes

More pictures coming tonight.

Definitely - a break is in order. I am ready for my summer, for sure! Congratulations on the good grades! :dance3:

Inside, 'famous' castmember, Barbara, offered to give a ride to some folks.

I walked, so I could take pictures.

I will miss the pretty colors this October.

Thanks, Roy, for your part in all of this happiness.

Just gotta take this one from at least one angle during a trip.

Barbara made a big deal over a little baby.

How many pictures does she get into in a day, do you think?

The seemingly ever-present now crane.

Bushes in rolling flower boxes covered up all of the exciting things in New Fantasyland.

Wonderful update...love an empty Main Street. And who doesn't want to coo over a baby.
