My 2 youngest were 17/18 months on their first Disney trips and it was awesome!!! my little boy remembered the Pooh ride for a loooong time...he would bounce like the ride when we saw Pooh shoes or talked to him about it....besides they are free on the plane too!!!!
Ok...so, Mike said no way on us taking a Disney trip while he and ds 14 are in NYC!! BUT!!! My bff (from Kindergarten!) is home for a week and we were talking about it today and she said, well Mike...let them come stay with me while ya'll do new york. She's in Maryland right outta DC!!!!! So... i think we may do that--that's gonna be our summer travelling except for the kids church camps and a few small trips to the Woodlands or Houston.....I thought that was a wonderful plan for her to come up with!!!:cloud9: I loved it! So... i am going to start officially planning my Nov trip since we are not going in April.!!
For those of you who remember about the passports...his came in last Wed!! Pretty quick even for being expedited I thought! So, ours should be in by next Friday I would think.

Boooo to no Disney trip for you and the younger ones....but yea to a trip to Maryland!!! :cool1: My cousin is getting married in Annapolis this July, so we have a mini Maryland trip this year. :rotfl:

I know!!! But, I am about to pin him down for our Fall trip...I usually do a Sat thru the next Sun...but touring guide has Sat, nov 20 at a high # already...we wouldn't be able to do much park-wise...just hang out at the resort...which is fine, but I don't know if he would rather do that, or just go a day earlier than we usually do and do a Fri -Sat trip.....I am itchin' to start a new ticker!!!! And of course there is the resort dilemma.....he is wanting to do the Wilderness Lodge, but for us (all 5) it's around $625 a night.....I looooove the BC and it's only $360ish a night.......I hate to spend that much when i have a cheaper option...and I just love being in the Epcot area. I know I could do a split stay, but have any of you done that applying a pin code? I don't know how that would work...I guess I should just call 'em and see what they say I should do....I was riding the fence on the DDP, but it is a good deal for us....but I think a room discount would be better than FD.....Here we go with allll those decisions again!:rotfl: I am sooo addicted to it!!

Okay boys and girls....making progress on this upcoming fall vacation!!!:goodvibes:goodvibes YEAAAHHHH!! Idid a thread for past Nov vacationers and they are all saying the two full weeks before Tday are great..the week before is coming out on top!! Hopefully Shelly and I will overlap our arrival/departure day so I can meet her finally!!!!! My main concern was going to be the resort dilemma....as much as we loved the WL that is just toooo expensive unless an unbelievable discount comes out! For us, it's $625 a night, while the BC is only $390.... so we may be up for a 40% discount, or maybe Free Dining....we will take whatever they offer.....but the WL is just toooo outta vacation budget!!!!! So... I guess I will just go ahead today and nail down a room and pay my depo......we can start paying a little every month....now I can be ready for ADRs in May!!!!!:yay:
I don't think I will do another PTR ....just shoot out my plans to you guys!!!! We are considering doing Fantasmic this year...the only time we went, DS14 was almost 6 and ds10 was 2 1/2.....I just remember sitting there with them for what seemed an eternity!! Like an hour and a half before it started....have any of you done the dinner package? I can't remember who has and who hasnt'....ds10 has this high on his list of want tos.......do any of you just go early and wing it...hoping for good seats? Also, if they offer two, does it matter which one you see? I am thinking of the line on the bus/boat after that too!!!

Hooray for planning your fall trip!:woohoo: Maybe you'll get the pin that Disney sent me in February (I think it's still being sent out). It's the 20/30/40 pin. It's only saving us around $200 right now, but 40% off a Deluxe is a much bigger savings. We want to do Fantasmic this Sept, but we're not doing the dinner package (just not enough TS credits and we don't want to pay OOP for 2 meals). If the line looks too crazy, we'll probably skip it (again). I've heard that if 2 shows are offered, the 2nd show isn't as busy.

Shawna- Your rambling about Disney possibilities sound SOOOOOO much like mine! :lmao: We are planning on next May and pricing all of it, looking at resorts, blah blah blah. Then DH says last night what about the fall of 2011, if they offer a better deal for us? It really all depends on what type of offers come out and what would save us the best. Dining isn't a big thing for us- my kids are picky and we don't like too many sit downs. The kids stay play eat free would be awesome for us! Hopefully they offer it again next May. For now I just keep throwing a few extra dollars when I can into our vacation fund for it. I'm heading to the credit union tomorrow to open a savings account to keep us from spending it! I know we're going back and right now that's all that matters. All the details will fall into place!

Yeah,..If I do get to go to Maryland I will look for you!!! I did a May trip one year and it was great!!!I really tried to squeeze in a mini-trip this April/May...didn't happen! Dh and ds14 are going for sure...plane tickets are purchased!!! They are soooo excited!!!! I think dh is gonna buy dd an outfit from the AG store!! She is gonna flip!!! I like having this far out to plan but to also pay a little each month..then when the deals come out and I apply it, the balance is reduced even more!! I am a very sick woman......but at least all of you are in the same boat!!!:lmao: I am gonna work my Disney math today...maybe that will be our lesson!!!:teacher: I mean..this is REAL LIFE people!!! (That is directed to my older son in Algebra who wonders when will he use math in real life!! HA!!) Like my ticker? It's as close to London as I see myself getting in the near future!! I had to get one up there---couldn't stand the blank spot anymore!!

I asked about it on another thread and am getting that too...the 2nd showing is far less crowded...I am leary about the package...we would rather eat at the Prime Time and just get in line for the 2nd show....if it's available that day...if not my plan is to eat 50s for a later lunch..like 1:30ish.....then just take snacks in while we wait....then find something else to eat afterward if we are still hungy....that's just such weird times to try to eat around...I know it has to be dark, but gees..... I got plans to make!!! Ha!!!

Where in Maryland??? I ask this because, we're driving (yuck!) to my cousin's wedding. We'll be driving down on Thurs, July 22nd. The wedding is on the 23rd and then we'll be driving back home on the 24th. A DIS meet could definately be scheduled in!!! :goodvibes Is there a Disney store anywhere? :rotfl:

I'd love to set up a meet!!! I assume you'll be traveling on I95? There's 2 Disney stores just off 95 near me- one in MD and the other just over the border in Delaware. The MD one is decorated nicer but we usually go to the one in DE because it's tax free shopping. :thumbsup2 Let me know the day and I'll meet you there!

Shawna- Nice ticker! Doesn't it make you feel all giddy having one! :rotfl: Are you going to try and plan a day at Universal for Harry Potter? I would love to but after pricing what it would cost us, I don't think we will. Tickets alone for 1 day to Universal Islands of Adventure would cost us over $300 for the 4 of us. :scared1: Then there's the cost of transportation between US and WDW and food while there, etc. :scared:

I have NO idea which route we'll be taking. We're going to follow my parents (who have a GPS). We'll be heading to Annapolis. I'd love to get to a Disney store!!!

More than likely you'll take 95 South. If you can fit it in you should stop at the Disney Store in White Marsh Mall. It's immediately off of 95. It's bigger and much more themed than the one in Delaware. Even if we can't schedule to meet there, you should still stop by it if you can squeeze it in! The mall even has a carousel in the food court! There's pics of it on page 15 of my TR. That's where Em chose to go for her birthday- carousel & Disney Store. :goodvibes

Kim~ we are so goofy...we NEVER leave Disney!! Ha!! Once we get there, we stay...Mike said he would like to go to Universal when the kids are bigger...mostly dd I am thinking...but I would HATE to give up a Disney day!!!! And honestly...we haven't done the Harry Potter thing yet!! I need to read the books and see if I want them to get into it or not....i have heard so many varying opinions...I just need to see for myself and decide...but they aren't into that, so that's not gonna sway them!! Ha!!!
And yes, it does make you giddy....I have been hyper all day!!!

Our mall has a carousel too! I will definately be telling Tony that we need to make a pit stop at the Disney store. I would still love to try and schedule a time to meet up!

I know what you mean... we left Disney once to go to Discovery Cove and Sea World.... was stressed about it the whole week.... Discovery Cove was worth it though....

Sheree- the cake was adorable!!!

I hope everyone's week is going as good as ours. We had John's annual ARD meeting on Tuesday and John is totally out of b-mod classes!! He was only going there at the end of the day for me to pick him up. The only difference is while in b-mod, I picked him up at the side of the school by the cafeteria and was usually pulling out of the school before they started letting the other kids go. Now I pick him up at the front of the school.
Then, we didn't have to go through the trouble of getting DH's car ready for him to drive so he can work for his Dad. His dad bought a "company" car, so if he needs to drive somewhere he will drive it. It's a 2009 Kia Rondo. I was so suprised at how roomy it is. When you look at it from the outside it doesn't look like it would have that much room. It's more comfortable for my DH to drive than my Ford Explorer. Since it's bigger on the inside than it looks like from the outside, I have nicknamed it "the Tardis" (even though it's not blue).
Tuesday, the DH stayed with me all day after the ARD. We had lunch at a Mexican place we just found. Then we went to Home Depot. I couldn't leave without getting some LGMHs. I almost took them all, but I did leave about 10 or so. I ended up with about 17.
The DH has been in such a good mood and is really confident that working with his dad is really going to work. He's been bugging me all week about starting to plan a trip for late next year. I'm going to wait and see how him working for his dad works out before I start thinking about planning anything.
Oh and we have a new pizza place in town. It's a Chicago style pizza place and they have Chicago style hot dogs. I had never had one, so when we ordered pizza I got one. When we got it, I was like "ummm ok, cucumber on a hot dog?" It was sooo good though. I can't wait to get another one.

Hey wookie~ Congrats for your son!!!!! Glad it went well for him!! Don't you looove finding new places to eat!!! Oh..the poor Pioneer women who never got to eat out!! LOL
Wendy~ that is the week Shelly is going!!! I am coming in on the 13th!! You have to tell us where your daughter is so I can maybe find her!! I would love to meet her--she will inspire my oldest son who always says he wants to work at Disney when he gets out of school!

I do love finding new great places to eat. Especially when they are little family run places. There is a new German restaurant that is down from the Mexican place. I can't wait to try that.

Ha!!! I am sure it's great also!! We have so many Mexican places here it's to the point of ridiculous!!! One is reeeeeaaaallly good though!!
