I was showing Maddie VB bags not too long ago. I was trying to pick one out that would be good for holding her dance shoes (ditty bag, backsack). We decided against it and she got a free duffel bag at the dance clinic my team held last month.

Madison LOVES her AG doll. My mom bought Madison her Easter dress and it came with a doll dress too (Dolly & Me is the brand...Sears & Kohl's carry that line, don't know about other stores). She's so excited to have a matching dress! Madison is going to pass out for sure tonight. We were outside enjoying our 78 degree day today, so all that fresh air equals a great nights sleep.

Thanks about the cake. We still have one shoe left!! Of course they all had to eat the fruit roll ups off of it! We had a fun party and stayed and played arcade games until after 8. The girls are definitely tired out!

Shawna - tell Gracie to take good care of that VB! I love how she asked to carry her bible and offering $! How sweet! She's got you figured out now! My DDs got VB bags and wallets and visors from my SIL. I still don't have one, but they do!!! I've been thinking about the hipster for WDW. I might have to go see one in a store for size.

I always think those matching girl/doll dresses are so cute - but the AG ones are expensive! I might have to check Sears and Kohls!

We had another "warm" day today in the 60s. Usually it's about 40 around now. But no sun - we actually had a good rain storm after lunch. Hopefully tomorrow will be nice for the baseball game - it's finally outdoors! No more dome! We're excited even though it's an exhibition game - it's a new Twins stadium! They lost tonight, but the news was all about the "first" hit, the first homerun...

Good morning ladies. I tried to post from my iPhone, but was having trouble with it. Our internet is down and it's driving me bonkers!!! I wish I could access Farmville, Petville, and Cafe World from my phone.

Well the other night we had two police officers show up at our house, and all I could do was laugh at the situation. When my DH got home the pad to the alarm in the house that we are renting was beeping. You could really only hear it if you were in the laundry room. Dh decided to fix with it, and he made the house alarm go off. It went off for about 30 minutes straight when I hit something and it stopped. Then it started again. For about an hour that pattern kept going, until DH finally got it disarmed and turned off. Right about when he fixed the problem, we had a knock at the door. The DH went outside to talk to them. After a few minutes I went outside to see what was keeping him. There were two police cars in the street and DH was talking to our neighbor. As soon as he saw me he apologized for calling the police when there wasn't really a problem, but him and his wife were concerned since the alarm kept going off. I told him not to worry about it and thanked him for calling them. I would rather him call thinking there was a problem when there wasn't than not call and there really be a problem.

Anyway, I hope everyone has a great Easter!! The boys and I are going to my mom's for a birthday lunch with my g-mom b/c her b-day is on the 13th. Then we will head to DH's parent's house for Easter stuff. Have a great weekend all and I hope everyone has wonderful weather.

Sheree~ Look at the VB backpack (the new size) for vacation instead of the hipster.... I had the hipster when we went in Jan 09...it didn't fit me right...kinda bothered my neck. And by the time I put allllll of our sunglasses and stuff it was overflowing. The backpack held a little more and you have outside pockets....just a thought!!!!

Hey ladies, I just thought I'd come and update a little.

It's a BOY!

Logan is absolutely thrilled. I kind of wanted a girl, but it's ok, I'm excited about my little boy.

Anyways, we're just getting ready for our move next month. We're moving into a townhouse that's around 1000 sq feet so we'll have a little more space than we do right now.

YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!

Happy Belated Birthday Andrew!!!

Hope everyone had a good Easter. I had to work....only store in a 10 mile radius that was open. Oh well, got a lot done. Now I'm off to watch some baseball tonight...I'm soo freakin happy for baseball season!!!!!:teeth:

Hey Red! I'm excited for B-ball too!! We went to the Twins new stadium yesterday for an exhibition game - it was so fun!!! We have a 20 game package of season tickets, so we'll be going a bunch of times. If you're ever in the Twin Cities, let me know and maybe I can set you up with tix!

AHHH!!! My friend and I tried to get tickets for one of the exhibition games and they were sold out! I love Mr. Joe Mauer ;)!! I'm so jealous!! Take some pictures of him for me, would you!?!? :rotfl: We're trying to figure out when we can get over there for some games. I'll definately let you know what happens!

Good morning Snowbirds! :cool1::banana:
Hope everyone had a wonderful Passover and/or Easter. :goodvibes
We aren't having the wonderful weather everyone else seems to have...still around 50 and mostly rainy. Belgium is not known for its beautiful weather.

Hooray for baseball season! :yay: This Cubs fan is ready for the season to start, too...got my Ryne Sandberg jersey on! :thumbsup2 (yeah, I'm getting old! )

Plutofan- you have a LONG spring break!! Do they go to school in the summer too? Do they go to an international school there? I have a friend from back in grade school who went to ISB in Brussels when they lived there. Have I asked before, are you/DH with the military?

Yes, it IS a looong break! They have a shorter summer break, only two months, mid-June to mid-August. But they have lots of breaks during the school year. I kind of like it, because by the end of a three month summer break we're all driving each other a bit crazy! :upsidedow DH is US Air Force. He's working with NATO here. The boys go to the school on the base, which is an international school but divided into "sections" for various countries. They're in the American Section, although we did consider the Canadian Section (half of the lessons in French!). Their school calendar is similar to the Belgian calendar because the bus drivers are Belgian (couldn't have them work on Belgian holidays), but the curriculum and classes are American. Does that make sense?

Love the flip flop cake! Wow!

Great to hear from you, Becca! Congratulaions on your little boy! :woohoo: Good luck with the move...it's always an adventure. :) I'm glad to hear the housing sounds good. I thought you weren't moving until after the baby had arrived?

Hope everyone has a great Disney day! :wizard:

I HAVE A SANDBERG JERSEY TOO!!!! Does that make me old as well?

Thanks! It was fun to make. Now we're left with one "shoe" and LOTS of Easter candy. Makes dieting really tough! I think some is going in the freezer.

Hope everyone has a great Disney day! :wizard:

Happy Monday everyone!!

Good morning everyone! We had a pretty good Easter. We woke up early and Madison searched for eggs and her Easter basket. The Bunny brought her a chocolate cow, chocolate gorillas and a bunch of Nestle crunch eggs. Tony and I got her a collector tin of Gogos Crazy Bones (they're very popular with the elementary school crowd) and a Princess Jasmine outfit for her AG Doll. The outfits are made for the My Disney Girl dolls, but they fit all 18" dolls. They are so cute and are available at disneystore.com. They have all the princesses plus Minnie. After all the searching for goodies, we got ready for church and headed out.

After church, we came home for a bit before heading out to my sister and BIL's house. Tony hadn't been feeling so great the past few days, so he didn't go with us. :sad1: He sent me a text while we were there and he had a fever! (He's actually at an immediate care center right now getting checked out). My sis made a TON of food....ham, baked ziti, mashed potatoes, meatballs, corn, dinner rolls. My mom made her famous German potato salad (delish!) and my sister's MIL made a green bean casserole. Everything was SO good! Plus, I made Spring funfetti cupcakes and her MIL brought a birthday cake over for her FIL. We ate way too much food yesterday.

Now, I'm just relaxing and avoiding a trip to the grocery store. Hope you all have a great day!

Happy Monday!! Ha!!! Well...we had a great Easter! Kids got their Easter goodies before church...and I gave Gracie one small gift for her 'real birthday'! I always get them a few books from us and so I saved hers for yesterday...church was awesome!! For my 2 younger ones' service... a guy from our church brought in a lamb and they learned about the symbolism of Jesus being the Lamb and the sacrifice...then they lead it away(imagine the durge being played here!!LOL)...they quickly had to point out that Mr. P wasn't going to actually kill this particular lamb...but that WAS what happened before Jesus came!! They said some of the kids were lookin a little pale before they could explain that part!! Ha!!!!! I just love the kids at that age!! They are so sweet!! Our church service was great too...then we spent the day with some friends....all the guys went and rode dirt bikes/4 wheelers and the girls stayed home and played...we just did a hot dog supper with Easter candy and desserts! It was very fun...it was a good day here weather wise too, so we had to take advantage of it!!! We wont have many coming up without a ton of humidity!!
I have to get the kids motivated to do our school the next few weeks and then we are FINISHED!!!! Wooo Hooo!!!!! time for our summer break!! One of my friends yesterday was talking about how they school year round with longer breaks in New Zealand. (Her best friend moved back there last year)... I think that would be soooo much better for the kids down here...our weather is so unbearable in the summer, it would be better to spend the days inside(learning & not watchin tv in the Air conditioning allll day)....then they could enjoy our nicer months for family trips. Of course...that would TOTALLY mess up my disney plannin time!!!!We all have this down to a science, I don't really want to have anything mess it up! ha!!!!! Hope ya'll have a great week!!!

Sheree- The flip flop cake was adorable! Too cute! :cutie:

Becca- Congrats on finding out you're expecting a boy!!! Any ideas on names or nursery themes yet?

Shawna- Those poor kiddos in church! Andrew gets upset every time we read the Easter story. Last year he got so upset I had to stop reading the book. I felt horrible. He finally started to understand it this year. It really is a very traumatizing event for youngsters.

Meghan- Hope Dh is feeling better soon. Does your mom make the German potato salad that's hot? My MIL makes it too. I don't care for it but my DH LOVES it!

Hope I didn't leave anyone out! :rolleyes1

Jason and I were talking Disney yesterday and we are planning a trip next spring!!! I was planning on December of 2011 but he doesn't want to wait that long so we are looking at possibly going in May of 2011! Only a little over a year from now!!! :yay:

My mom does make the warm German potato salad (with vinegar and bacon). I LOVE it and I wish I would have remember to bring some home with me. That stuff goes great with ham. Tony is feeling a bit better. They tested him for strep but it was negative. They told him to just get some rest.

Yea for an earlier Disney trip!!! :cool1: I'm hoping that there will be a bounceback offer in our room this Sept and I can convince Tony to at least put down a deposit. Has anyone ever brought a 2 month old to Disney?? :rotfl: Being the constant planner that I am, we're planning on a July 2011 baby. Hmmm....or what about a Dec trip that I've always wanted!!!

That's the kind my MIL makes too. I don't care for it but DH grew up with it so his side of the family loves it.

I've taken a 6 month old. Andrew's first trip was when he was 6 months and he did just fine. Just sayin'- it's doable! ;)

Madison was 3 1/2 on her first trip, so I have NO experience taking an infant. She was fully potty trained and we only did MK and Blizzard Beach. There's a first time for everything though, right?

Paige was 11 mos old her first trip, so she was more mobile, but it was great. They go where you take them at that age! Just order a pack of diapers and/or formula if you use it from garden grocer and you're set!

I hope it all works out for you as you hope!

German potato salad - haven't had it in years, but I lived in a totally German town until I was 9 and that was the only kind there was!!!
