Snow White Does the Creep on the Trip that Almost Wasn't A Dec 11/Jan 12 TR 7/24 NEW

Happy Birthday!!!

My guess is Le Cellier because you had to miss it when you got sick, and it's at a different park, not MK!

Ahh to be 25 again, 30 is the one I was freaked about and my DG took me to Disney for the first time so I got to feel like a kid again. :rotfl2:

:bday:

Glad you had a wonderful day.:woohoo:

Thank you so much!

That sounds like a good guess! ;)

Glad you had a wonderful day.:woohoo:

I think that going to Disney World sounds like the perfect remedy to feeling old! :goodvibes

Thank you! :)

Hi everyone! Thank you all again for the birthday wishes. As of today we are only 88 days away from our trip! We are slowly but surely whittling away! In less than three months I will be home! Yippeeee! :woohoo:

I promised ADRs, and I am here to deliver!

You know the drill…. TIE YOUR NAPKIN ‘ROUND YOUR NECK!

popcorn::Our ADR List- July 8-17, 2012popcorn::

July 8, 2012

10:00 Breakfast at Cape May Café- This is our check in day, and the first thing we will be doing is enjoying the Cape May buffet with all of the characters in their beach clothes! I can’t wait!

DISfood1.png

5:40 Dinner at Cape May Café- That’s right, we’re eating at the same restaurant twice in one day. Allow me to explain- Cape May is closing for refurb starting JULY 9th, i.e, the next day. That means this is our only chance to eat here! John really wants to try the clambake, so we’re just going to eat here twice!

July 9, 2012

12:00 Lunch at Yak & Yeti Restaurant- John and I fell in love with this place on our last trip, and with the cream cheese wontons!

Food1.jpg

7:05 Dinner at Sci Fi Dine-in Theater- You know it’s not a Russell trip to WDW without at least one meal here!

food2.jpg

July 10, 2012

9:20 Breakfast at Kona Café- Two words: TONGA TOAST.

food3.jpg

5:25 Dinner at Le Cellier- This is probably the best food we’ve ever had in Disney. We went for the first time in December, and now we can’t stay away!

food4.jpg

July 11, 2012

1:30 Lunch at Rainforest Café in Downtown Disney- We usually would do T-Rex Café, but John said he would like to go back here for a change!

food5.jpg

8:40 Dinner at Flying Fish Café- This is a restaurant we’ve never tried before, but we plan on visiting the Boardwalk some on this trip, and John wanted some “fancy” seafood!

food6.jpg

July 12, 2012

9:30 Breakfast at The Crystal Palace- This is definitely my favorite character breakfast. I LOVE POOH AND ALL HIS FRIENDS.

food7.jpg

7:55 Dinner at Artist Point- John absolutely loved the food here on our December 2010 trip, so he said he really really wanted to go back!

food8.jpg

July 13, 2012

12:00 Lunch at Nine Dragons Restaurant- We’ve never been here, but I’ve heard good things. Plus, Jess (DisneyFreak508) has me dying to try that ice cream they have!

food9.jpg

6:45 Dinner at ‘Ohana- One of the best! What else can I say?

food10.jpg

July 14, 2012

7:50 Dinner at California Grill- I was sold on this after reading Kristen’s (DisneyFreak616) TR. This will be a great last-night dinner!

food11.jpg

July 15, 2012

8:00 Breakfast at Boma- This was one of our favorite breakfast spots, and we can’t wait to eat here again! Even though it will be our last day we will be so glad to be back here!

food12.jpg

So there you have it…our ADRs. I’m really happy with them, but I’ll be honest- I’m still concerned it’s a bit much food. Hmmm...I want to say I won’t change anything, but you never know with me! What do you think of what we have picked?

Oh, and thanks again for all of your suggestions! I really appreciate it.

Up Next in the PTR department: An exciting first for me! Stay tuned!

*Note- All of these images were borrowed from Google Images! :)

I think your ADR's look awesome! You're going to love Cape May, it's SO good! :thumbsup2

Yay, Le Cellier and 'Ohana! :woohoo: My 2 favorites! I wish I was doing 'Ohana in May! :sad1:

I'd love to try Flying Fish someday, a lot of people really like it!

I cannot WAIT to go to CA Grill in May, it's the one I'm looking forward to the most!

How is it that both of our trips are in July (at least, mine BEGINS in July haha) and you're on 88 days and I'm still at 109? Haha uhhh that seems like such a big difference, but in reality I guess it's just (exactly) three weeks.

Omg, YES. That darn Cape May refurb! We were going to go there for breakfast so I could get a Beach Club fix but it literally opens back up THE DAY AFTER WE LEAVE. Come on Disney... come on. It's cool yall are going twice in one day!

Both of your day 2 restaurants are FABULOUS.

HOORAY FOR CRYSTAL PALACE BREAKFAST!!! Yall will be there on my mom's birthday, awww.

All in all, it seems like you picked some amazing places!!! I agree, it does sound like a lot of food, but I guess that's what comes with the Deluxe plan! popcorn::

ADR choices sound fantastic -- you are hitting some of our favorites :-) I hope you enjoy everything!

Hmmmm I read your trip report but I cant see your pictures, there is a little message from photobucket saying your too popular and need to upgrade to their pro version or something. :confused3 You should be excited to know your trip report is still emtertaining, but its killing me not to be able to see the pictures

Hi everyone! Okay so apparently Photobucket doesn't want to be friends anymore. Why? I dunno...I'm a fun girl. (Michelle Tanner, thank you very much). Anyway, it's not wanting to relax about my bandwith even though I just upgraded to Pro and paid $24.95. :headache: Hopefully this situation will resolve itself soon, or Photobucket will be hearing from me. If you come to look at my update and the pictures are back let me know when you can see them! I promise this will be fixed soon! :)

Sorry again for the inconvenience. Until the pictures are restored I hope my rapier wit is enough to keep you entertained. TTFN.

*Edit- They're back, order is restored, and I am now a paying customer on Photobucket. This turned out alright. Enjoy! :thumbsup2

Happy belated birthday!!!!!!!!!!! Your ADRs look amazing!!! You definitely have many restaurants I've never been to, so I'm excited to hear all about them! :goodvibes

All caught up! Wooo!!! Looks so far like you had a really fun trip! Sorry you didn't enjoy your first night in your room at ASMo, not having your little tub and rock hard pillows. Uggghhh... not getting a good night in Disney can put a little damper on things. Hopefully your day continued to get better from there after seeing Once Upon A Christmastime :thumbsup2

Wow, you're already planning for your next trip! This TR is moving FAST! lol Well, I love your ADR choices, you definitely picked some good ones and I think that was a smart choice doing CMC twice in one day. Trying both the Clam bake AND the character breakfast seems worth a double trip :) Not a fan of SciFi, but you've had a lot of good experiences there so stick with it, okay? Good. But since I didn't get to put in a recommendation I would like to say if you are interested to try something new in the AKL area, try Sanaa! Seriously, this restaurant is LIFE-CHANGINGly good! I know you seem to like Boma and I know these two are very similar, but I think Sanaa doesn't get as much love Boma does so I just had to recommend it.

Well... can't wait to find out about more of your plans and where you went to eat instead of Tony's! :mickeyjum

What a great line up of ADRs! :thumbsup2 Love that you are trying Cape May Cafe twice on the first day and then have the two signatures and the yummy Tonga Toast to look forward to.

Can't believe how close your trip is getting :yay:

I got back from my trip at 3:30 this morning, and after I took a shower and all that, the first thing I wanted to do was get on DIS to catch up on some TRs. Unfortunately, the boards were closed for the moment, but now it's a-okay so I'm here to catch up! I love how the first thing I wanna do is read more about Disney!

Awww, how cute that Mickey and Minnie are on the float with Duffy! I love just how excited you get over the parades!

Happy belated birthday, Joni! Haha, it's strange being 25+. When I bought 3 Disney Duffy costumes the other day, I was saying to the CM, "Yeah, and I'm 27!" and she said, "There's no age limit for these things!" I love how there will always be a place for us to not have to be 25+! I was also saying to Howard that it's always interesting to see 40+ year old men cheering for Mickey during things like Fantasmic!

Your ADRs look AWESOME! Haha, all that delicious food! We have a few lined up for our Disneymoon, but we're not going to book more than the 3 we have at this point. We're gonna go with the flow and since it's May, we're hoping that places will be open for last minute ADRs when we get there. Cape May is definitely one I'd LIKE to try, but Howard and I are slightly allergic to shellfish so that might not be smart, haha. The clambake is so enticing though!!!

Thanks! I'm so excited to try Cape May, especially after hearing your reviews! :thumbsup2

Those two are both so amazing! I'm sorry you're not doing 'Ohana in May. Hopefully on your next trip! :)

It looks like that ADR might not be around for long...stay tuned for news!

I'm so excited to try CA Grill too! Kristen's review made me want it so bad!

It does seem like a really big difference, but it's not that far at all!

I was so confused by that when I started booking my ADRs. I was like, "WHY IS THIS PLACE ALWAYS FULL?!" :rotfl: Dang, I'm sorry you won't get to go there! That stinks! :(

Thank you!

Awww I will eat some puffed french toast for her! I love Crystal Palace so much!

Haha, I went through all this trouble and now our plans are changing. I'm trying to be all cryptic so you guys will be dying to know what I did! :rotfl:

ADR choices sound fantastic -- you are hitting some of our favorites :-) I hope you enjoy everything!

Yay!! Yeah, not getting a good night's rest stinks, but the parade definitely made it better!

I know right! I can't believe how fast it's going! I'm going to try to slow it down, but at the same time my next trip is only 83 days away!

Thank you! :) I would love to try Sanaa sometime, I have heard amazing things about it. I love Boma, so I'm sure I would love it too! Thanks for the recommendation!

Thank you so much! :goodvibes I'm so glad we have Disney where we can always be children! I love it!

Thank you! I can't wait to hear about the plans for your Disneymoon. AHHH RACHEL. You're getting married in like a month! I'm so happy for you and Howard! Yippeee!!

Haha yeah I would stay away from the clambake! ;)

Hi everybody! I would like to preface this post with two important announcements. First, I just watched “Full House: Where Are They Now?” on the TV Guide Channel, and it was awesome. Thought you oughta know. Second, my next PTR update will have HUGE news about my upcoming trip. We’re talking gigantic news. Gargantuan news. Um…what are other synonyms for ‘big’? Anyway, you get it. I have some big news coming up, so stay tuned for that. :thumbsup2

Okay, onto this update. When I left off John and I had just scored an amazing last minute ADR, and we were leaving MK and heading to our next park. So, are you ready to know which restaurant we were going to?

Too bad, because I’m not telling you yet! Neener neener neener! I promise, I’ll tell you very soon. What I will tell you is which park we were going to!

DSCN0233.jpg

I’m pretty sure you all know which restaurant it is just by seeing where we were going, but I’ll keep pretending like you don’t know.

Anyway, John was super excited about going to Epcot!

DSCN0235.jpg

So excited, in fact, that he threw up in his hand!

DSCN0237.jpg

AHH I’m kidding. He was coughing. But it’s funny, right? :lmao:

I’m sure he would be so happy to know that I put that picture on here for all of you to see.

Anyway, when we got out of the car at Epcot I was dismayed to discover that my sore foot was hurting really REALLY bad. :( I was afraid I wouldn’t be able to walk through the park without it getting worse, but I sucked it up. It was a gorgeous day, and I was in DISNEY WORLD. You could saw my feet off and I’d still hobble around and pose for pictures. Okay, I’m being too morbid. Forgive me, it’s late and I’m tired.

I’ll just shut up and post some pictures.

DSCN0238.jpg

Happy boy!

DSCN0239.jpg

We didn’t have to be in Epcot for very long to figure out that it was way too crowded to ride any rides. We were alright with that since our dinner reservation was only about an hour away, so we decided to just wander around and see what we could see.

DSCN0240.jpg

Hmm…now why would we be starting on this end of the WS? Where could we possibly be going? It’s a mystery! :rolleyes1

John wanted to stop in Germany and get a grown up drink. After he had his beverage we found a nice sunny place to sit and relax a little so I could rest my foot.

He’s cute.

DSCN0241-1.jpg

So here’s a funny story. While we were sitting there chatting and soaking up some sunshine we started hearing some raised voices. John and I are very tuned in to other people having fights, so we instantly fell silent and started rubber neckin’ to hear what was happening. There was this family of about five or six people behind us, and they were having some kind of huge blow up argument. I instantly noticed that these folks had some straight up Beverly Hillbillies country accents. It’s okay for me to say this, because I too have such an accent. Anyway, I wasn’t able to gain too much information from their babbling, but I gathered enough to get that some people wanted to go on Maelstrom while others wanted to eat. *Sigh* Disney problems. So naturally, what did I do at this point? I photobombed their argument.

DSCN0242.jpg

See the girl to the left in the green shirt with the backpack? It was her family fighting, so I just inserted myself right in there. Take notes, small child from DHS. I am still the champion! :worship: If that is your family in the middle of a crisis, I apologize. This is what my husband and I do at Disney.

See? I’m a creep. There’s no denying it.

Speaking of my creepiness, I then proceeded to take this picture.

DSCN0244.jpg

Lord I hope John never sees this update. Between that picture and the throwing up in his hand one he’d probably never go to Disney with me again! But seriously, who else could have his picture taken from that angle and still look handsome?

We continued on our journey through the WS to our undisclosed dining location, and stopped to take a few more pictures.

I now present to you the very enthralling flash vs. no flash debate. John and I just can’t agree on this one. He prefers no flash:

DSCN0245.jpg

Because he says it makes the statue look cool. I, however, think it washes him out. I am more a fan of flash:

DSCN0246.jpg

So, the world needs to know- Team Flash or Team No Flash? I’m already making the t-shirts.

DSCN0247.jpg

Team Flash, am I right?

I stopped to take one more picture along the way.

DSCN0249.jpg

Beautiful! Then before we knew it we were approaching our dining destination!

Up Next: I finally reveal our super secret ADR! Stay tuned!

I love your report. :)
You have to Eat @ the Yak and Yeti @ Animal Kingdom. I really loved the food there. :)....

well i just finished reading ALL of your trip reports and pre trip reports! i loved them all! you guys remind me of me and my DH except he isnt a big fan.:confused3 i think he enjoys it with just me and him but not as much as yours! i cant wait to read the rest of your report from december 2011 and the next one to come!

I hope you enjoyed your dinner at EPCOT. It's my favorite park. I could spend so much time just circling world showcase over and over again.

Why do people have to fight at Disney? Come on, it's Disney people. Looks like that family needed a little pixie dust.

What a tease! I am dying to know where you guys are eating!

On a side note...my family is always that family...the family that's arguing that other people listen in on! It's so bad, but it wouldn't be a normal Disney trip without an argument or two, lol.
