I love this.Does anyone else see the irony of a thread about how to 'not follow the rules' started because DCL (presumably) changed its policy because passengers would 'not follow the rules'?!
They care because they get "perks" from Disney because they are the largest Disney Community Forum on the internet. Disney might not be so "giving of perks" to a forum that openly allows their members to discuss ways to violate Disney policies.
I like the drama, good discussion about sneaking on
Ok, it's your post. But I still need tips. Rum runners are all I got. The expense of the Rum Rummers (Roughly $20) starts to outweight the offset. Any other cheaper suggestions?
Everyone knows what the fake shampoo bottles look like. If you're going to go with pseudo shampoo bottles think up ways it'll be more convincing. Keep in mind that using actual washed out shampoo bottles is not a good option because your booze will end up with a soapy wang. Unless you line them.Ok, it's your post. But I still need tips. They are a bit expensive, but I have had mine for about 10 years and they are still going strong. I've used them on 2 cruises and I also use them when I travel and don't need to sneak alcohol. They have come to WDW with me more than once when I know that I want to fire up my blender in my villa but I don't want to pay a premium for a pint of rum.Ok, it's your post. But I still need tips. Not getting into whether one should or should not sneak alcohol in or whether I would do it in the future, but in the past, I have used rum runners and they worked fine. The price is not really that bad. Truthfully the times we used them, we barely touched what we brought, so I am not sure whether its worth it. This year on Disney, we brought on a big bottle of Malibu (which was allowed) and barely got into it until near the end of the week, when we were just trying to drink it to finish it off.
In addition to Rum runners, a few months ago we went to a liquor store and they had all kinds of neat "flasks" to conceal alcohol. The "sunscreen" looked just like the walmart or dollar general brands of sunscreen. My bigger concern with that is that I would forget which one was really the sunscreen.
Doesn't matter. There is nothing wrong with a company making money.....the are no sailing that big ship pro bono.
You can use this to teach your children a little about integrity.
Many years ago we were driving down the interstate and saw a suitecase in the middle of the road. I figured it blew off someone's roof so stopped and picked it up. There were dress clothes for a man and a woman and $400 in one dollar bills! My son, seeing the $400, said, "Wow! We are rich!" I said no son, that money is not ours. It took us 2 weeks but we tracked down the owers and returned the suitcase and money. Turns out it was a young couple on their honeymoon. Her mom was a waitress and had saved tips for her daughter for a wedding present. They were so grateful to get the suitcase back. They said they had assumed they would never see the suitcase again.
I post this to illustrate that our kids see EVERTHING. Even things we think they don't see or notice, they see....and they learn.
Suck it up and pay for you drinks and don't try to cheat the system.
And just so you know, it is 100% about integrity. Before you sail you sign a statement stating that you read, understand and will follow the rules.
(note: I do my best proofreading after I post)
Yes, you can save a few bucks by sneaking stuff in.......you can use it as an 'teaching moment' for your children! "Kids, if you don't agree with the rules then you are justified figuring out a way to get around the rules. Especially if it saves you money on your bar tab!"
Well I do, but kids have nothing to do with this topic anyway.But... I don't have children.

Did I miss something? I didn't think there was a response awaiting my answer.
If I teach my children to question a corporation 's motives then we all win. Letting them be sheep is not the answer!
Bless you for telling us that heart wrenching story about the suitcase. I'll be telling my children that story tonight before I lay them down to sleep.
All for profit corporations' motives are to make money. I thought that was a given.
That is good you will tell your chridren my story. Be sure to put it in context for them and how you read it in a tread about how to be a sneak....and that it was ok to be a sneak and ignore the rules if you question the motives and think that the rules were meant to make money. Next week maybe you can teach them how to hop the fence and sneak into WDW to avoid paying park admittance becuase Disney is a big corporation motivated by money.....
