I used to ride it at WDW when I was younger (in my late 20s) but stopped maybe 15 years ago. My neck and back just can't take it and I see no reason to walk around in pain for the rest of the day after riding it. Even when I was younger and it didn't hurt as bad I wasn't a huge fan, I think it was the dark that bothered me.

I LOVE Space Mountain! When I was a kid, it was the ride that struck me the most (that, and the Mansion, which I have grown to love more these days). This was the WDW one, and it was just amazing. I know a lot of peopel favor the DL version, and I get that it is probably the better ride, but the original WDW one is bigger and more grand. Overall, I still like it better.

I did ride the Tokyo one too, though it was a clone of the DL version for the most part (some slightly different decor and effects). Of course, that one is no more, making way for an all-new version! Paris has a unique version too, but I just haven't gotten out there to try it.

In September, we went to Disneyland Paris - their version of Space Mountain is terrifying
I was shaky getting off the ride.

I have no issues with WDW or Disneyland’s version.

I have ridden the WDW pretty much every trip we’ve done (we don’t go yearly or anything). I used to love it, but it’s too rough to enjoy as much anymore. I will still ride if someone else wants to, but it’s not a favorite of mine anymore.

I have ridden it at both WDW and DL years ago but do not like roller coasters so have not been on it since.

Yes, their's is more of a "big boy" coaster with inversions and such. I dig the Jules Verne style vibe too. I really need to get to DLP one of these days.

I have ridden both WDWs and DLs numerous times. I love the ride, but have pros and cons to both.

WDWs- I think it's a better ride experience, but I hate getting in and out of the cars. Of course, if you go to DL, you get a similar folding yourself in and out of the car experience if you ride the Matterhorn. There are some Disneyland people that have insisted to me that their Matterhorn is WDWs Space Mountain, just with different theming. Kind of like Indy vs. Dinosaur. I haven't found anything to confirm this beyond noting some similarities. The only time I ever felt any kind of back or neck issues was when I rode right after a bad car accident.

DLs- It's a much smoother ride, which equates to "not as much fun" in my mind. Still, I really like it and it's much easier getting in and out of the ride vehicles.

The queues to both are different. I think I prefer WDWs because there's more of a build up in my opinion, but maybe it's because there's also that nostalgia from being a kid and being a bit anxious and excited the first time we went through the queue.

I love Space Mountain at WDW! I have also ridden Space Mountain at Disneyland Paris - absolutely did not love that ride. Not scary but came off feeling like I'd been hit all over with a bat! Not one to be repeated - a real 'shoogler' as they say here.

Have ridden both many times over the years. I love the Disneyland one and really do not care for the WDW one. If I am with someone who really wants to ride the WDW version, I will ride it with them, but on my own, I will skip it every time. For Disneyland, I ride it most every time I visit the parks (which is a lot since I am a local).

The MK Space Mountain is built from the same ride system as The Matterhorn, but they are not identical tracks. The cars are theoretically compatible though. I do believe that Indy and Dinosaur ARE the same though, just with different lighting and show scenes (Dinosaur is so dark that you can't tell).

The only thing that I like better about the DL version is the projection effects (like the lift hill) and on-ride sound. Overall, I prefer the WDW version.

I love both of them, and the one in Paris. I especially like the Christmas theme change they do in WDW.

I rode Space Mountain in Disneyland in 1977. It was much darker inside at first that it is now. In those days it was too dark to see the track and anticipate turns and dips.

I like it. My back doesn't. I still ride it every time I'm in WDW, even though it's getting more and more difficult to extricate myself from the rocket at the unloading point.

Not me, ever. I don't enjoy most roller coasters, things that drop, things the go backwards. I've never ridden Space, Tower of Terror, Everest, Rock-n-Roller Coaster, Tron, Guardians. I rode Splash 3 or 4 times but it gives me a migraine, so I don't know if I'll try it as Tianna's; I am curious, though. I have ridden FoP and Remy, but they make me motion sick. I love riding Big Thunder, Slinky Dog and Mine Train, though!

I've ridden both and love DL's, but only like WDW's to a certain degree. It's actually hard to equate the two since they are so different. In terms of actual ride experience (not theming), WDW's Space is more comparable to the Matterhorn at DL. Same ride vehicles, and both rides are very rough and bone-rattling. DL's Space is not like that at all.

For me, what I really love about the WDW Space Mountain is more it's granduer - it's bigger, witht eh "star tunnel" and all the effects, then you walk into the boarding areas and can look up and see space (I kind of liked it better when it was open but it's darker on the ride with the enclosure). At the DL one, you just sort of wait on a rooftop and then enter a very typical coaster boarding area. It just feels less awe-inspiring. That said, once on-ride, the DL version takes over. The twisting lighting effect on the lift hill is really fun and hte on-ride music is an improvement. The coaster is a bit smoother too which is alwyas nice. Still though, I give the edge to the original Starport Seven-Five.

I have done it twice at DL.Didn’t do it at WDW as my daughter refused to go on so I stayed with her. Not a fan. Last time I felt really dizzy once I got off.
