Bought my wife a new 2020 Camry Hybrid on Saturday July 4, 2020 during "Toyotathon". Before the chip shortage, we were one of two customers on the lot packed with cars. The dealer was dying for customers at that point of the Pandemic. Traded in a Mountaineer we bought new 20+ years before.
My car is a 2018 Flex, bought new in June 2018. Traded in a Suburban we had bought new 31+ years earlier.
Given our age, 65, and being retired, and that we keep cars nearly forever, we may never buy another car in our lifetimes. Just finished a 4,000 mile road trip in the Camry, and it still only has 17,000 miles on it, and the Flex has 19,000 miles on it.

I got my 21 Mazda CX-5 in April of 2021. My husband got his 22 GMC Sierra in Jan 2022. We should be good for awhile though I have toyed with the idea of trading mine in and getting a different color. I know it sounds horrible but I was torn between two color and regret the one I chose but I absolutely love everything else about it.

Ouch. Just thinking about the sales tax you would have to pay to get a different color is horrifying to me.

I never in my life bought a brand-new car until last year, and I may keep this thing until I die because I've never had a more fun ride. I'd actually planned on a Bronco, but the ridiculous delays in ordering and delivery sent me over to Jeep and I could not be happier.

Kinda late on this but was going through the non-page 1 threads and decided I'd post.
I had a 2011 Tahoe and my wife has a 2005 Camry. She was next up for a new car. We tend to keep them over 10 years. I gave my 2003 Silverado to my daughter when I bought the Tahoe and it's still going strong.
My wife is still going in to the office a couple days a week and said she didn't want a new car getting beat up in the parking lot. The Tahoe was starting to see some issues and I didn't want to keep putting money into it. It had 125k on the clock but it had been towed behind the motor home probably another 50k. Dealers were giving stupid money for used SUVs and trucks so I traded it on on a 2022 Sierra. We love it and now have something to pull behind the motor home that I can also carry a golf cart in.

Traded our small SUV for another Honda Odyssey van. We couldn't pack what we needed for vacation otherwise!!

Third Odyssey we've owned and love it. We are proud minivan drivers!
I’m on my 5th odyssey, the only new one I got was a 2003 because there were no used ones. My (adult) kids gave me grief when I bought my 2016 a few years ago, but my oldest recently moved an hour away and keeps stealing it to move things, leaving me her civic.

I've never owned a brand new car. My current ride is a 2005! But next year I am buying myself a brand new car as a major gift for the big 50.

Back in the late 90's I got my first and only new car... it was the least reliable thing I ever owned. I ended up trading it when it had 19,000 miles being like 2 years old. I seriously got tired of messing with it.

This is what happens when you buy a Dodge Neon :rotfl2:

We had 2 Odysseys and loved them. We bought the first one because we were in need of a new car and we were trying for a baby and we thought it made sense to go ahead and buy a "family" car. We never were able to get pregnant, but when it was time to get rid of that van, I test drove a couple SUVs and just liked the way the van drove better, so we bought a new one. My DH did convince me to trade it in a few weeks ago on a Honda Pilot, which is just as big as the van, but doesn't quite have the same "soccer mom" vibe :-)
