It’s just another day for me. I do say “knock on wood” on occasion, so I guess I’m a little superstitious (or as they say on The Office, I’m not superstitious, but I am a little stitious.)
I'm not superstitious about Friday 13th at all, it's just a day although I like to jokingly blame the day if something goes wrong. I have had a rather interesting 6 hour journey today but I'll blame others on the road, not the date!
Superstitions seemed to have had more meaning back when I was young. Was that because we were kids, or have they just faded a bit over time?
Now I often don’t even realize it is a
Friday the 13th. Someone texted me about it this morning, so I did know about this one. But until reading about it again here, I hadn’t thought of it since then.
I don't have superstitions, but Friday, Mar 13, 2020 (during planet alignments too) was the day we learned our school was going full remote for the pandemic. We had school that next Monday, but mainly to throw Chromebooks at the kids and tell them how to find our on-line classrooms. We teachers haven't forgotten that Friday the 13th .....you should see the side-eyes we give each other whenever the 13th falls on a Friday now.
March 13, 2020…absolutely, @CGB, day we’ll never forget. But other than that, I don’t think anything of Friday the 13th. Full moons in schools on the other hand…
