Sister Challenge - moved to New Years Resolution in July

Thanks Kim...I needed those!!!
Just another long day!! I know I talked to both sisters, but I couldn't tell you for sure what they told me their weight was. :confused3
I think Sis #2 was 180, and sis #1 was somewhere around 177 or 178...heck, i don't remember! One thing I do know is that i'm at 158!!!! :woohoo:
not really sure how i managed that, but i'm gonna take it!!

ok....so, i hate to say this, but since i lost my original book, i have to go all the way back through my journal to re-log (is that a word?) the weight totals. I will try to do that this week. I know i started out at 165 and now i'm at 158.

b-nothing
s-1/2 chicken biscuit after dr. appt (i was starving!)
l-1/2 piece of nasty pizza
s-nothing
d-5 fish sticks
water intake- 72 oz
exercise-25 crunches & 15 minutes of arm weights (i'mlogging 20 minutes)
not a good start i know, but mondays are hard around here.

i'm gonna do Denise in the morning....she's easier on my back than Bob.
boy...that just doesn't sound right, does it?

ok...i'm calling it a night.
later
marie

not lame of you at all Linda....we may need to do it tomorrow though....i'm whooped tonight.

Way to go getting in some exercise even with your busy day! Good Job Marie! :yay:

Congrats on the 158 also. Stress and worry are not nice, but can be pretty effective for weight loss so at least there is a little silver lining! Better to not have the stress and worry though ... :grouphug:

GOOD MORNING YA'LL!!
For some really strange reason I woke up in a great mood today!!
Even though I woke up late, and my dd6 wouldn't get out of bed, and fought with me ALL morning, and the cat did poop on the floor, and the pants I just bought 2 weeks ago that are a size 12, and planned to wear today are too big, but I wore them anyway....I'M STILL IN A GREAT MOOD!!
huh....go figure. :confused3

hope ya'll are having a great day too!

Hi Marie,

I'm glad to hear that your DS's doctor's appointment went well. Like your son, I have a birthmark on my right leg. Mine goes from hip to foot though. It has faded significantly over the years, but I too had a problem with one leg being shorter than the other. After several years, my right leg caught up to my left leg, but my right foot is half a size smaller than my left. It's not as wide as the left either. Makes shoe shopping fun. ;) Sending prayers and :wizard: for his next appointment.

Great job on getting your exercise in despite a busy day! You are doing a great job! Keep up the good work! :cheer2:

Have a terrific Tuesday! :sunny:

Congrats on the loss and the loose pants! :thumbsup2 :cool1:  Maybe you can send me your 12's - at the rate I'm going, I'll need them soon! :sad2:

Great job squeezing the workout in.

I'm glad to hear things are progressing well with the Dr.

i just got done going through my journal...
i don't know why you guys stayed with me this long....i'm kinda psycho.
wild mood swings and alot of whining!!

anyway, thanks for sticking around....also, i added up my ups & downs....so far i'm down 7 lbs!! yeah!!

i have to call sisters back and write down their totals from yesterday.....i really forgot.

Have you ever heard of a birthmark causing bloodflow problems?? that just blew my mind! the dr. said that alot of people have 1 leg longer, but it's usually 1/2 inch or less. he said that 1 1/2 inches needs to be checked out...
we'll see next week. :confused3

:cheer2:  :cheer2:  How great that the 12's are too big!!

With all the exercising you are doing, sis #2 doesn't stand a chance!

Keep up all your good work!

Kohl's is one of my favorite places to shop. Who cares if no one else likes the skirt as long as you like it!

You sisters are doing pretty good. It's great that you have some extra motivation for getting healthy!

You are really kicking up the exercise and at this rate you'll have no problem making your goal!

You know I'd love to see a picture of this outfit.... :rolleyes1

don't think so....it's not very flattering, but boy is it comfortable!! :goodvibes
i actually think the skirt is a little big....linen kinda stretches....it's pretty big in the waist....oh well...
also, every time i look down, all i see if cleavage!! v-neck shirt....what's a girl to do??!! :confused3

:cheer2: You're off to a Great start w/ your exercise this month! :cheer2: Keep up the good work!

Glad to hear things went fairly well at your ds's appt. Hope next week goes well also!

Your food intake isn't too bad, but maybe a few fruits and veggies would help? I take the little boxes of raisins and the little applesauce cups to work. They are quick & easy and better snacks than all the chocolate around the office. :sunny:

:cool1: Way to go on the size 10 skirt & the 158 weigh in! :cheer2: I am jealous! I have a long way to go before I catch up to you, but you keep dangling that carrot and I'll keep on chasing! ;)

Have a Great evening!

b-chocolate donut
s-none
l-carrots & ranch dressing
s-chocolate donut
d-hot dog & shells&cheese
water intake - 32 oz..... :guilty:
exercise-45 min w/ denise this morning. raining this evening so we couldn't go walking.

i really don't know what happened to me today. i had alot on my mind, but there was no reason for my splurge! i know tomorrow will be better....i will make it better!
DS10 brought home his interim grades yesterday..... :furious: F in math, F in social studies, A in spelling, C's in everything else!! he also had 4 assignments he hadn't turned in yet!! i told him he's grounded until i feel like ungrounding him!! i talked to his teacher last night and she said that he has until noon today to get the assignments in...(which he did) and that will help his grades, but i think we're too far gone in math. i asked her why he is having so much trouble and she said the whole class is having trouble!! WTH??!!
Then today the school calls and tells me he got into a "scuffle" with another boy, that he got hit in the nose, and they put ice on it, but everything is ok".
Um....excuse me....that's it?? I asked for more infor, but she said that's all she could tell me. I told her that I wanted the v-princ to call me before the day was over. He has told me about this boy in class that calls him names and stuff, and he just ignores him. Well, today the kid pushed him, twice and ds pushed back, then the kid hit him. DS unloaded on him! (gym teacher had to pull ds off...he was kicking butt!) Both sent to the office. Anyway, VP calls me back, finally, and tells me what happend...and i told her what HAS been happening, and she is having a meeting tomorrow w/ the kid & his parents. DS didn't get in trouble...i told her that as long as he didn't start it, he has every right to defend himself and he did. I also told her about his grades and the trouble in math...she is going to get an assistant to work w/ him for the rest of the year, then we'll talk about summer school.
What a day, what a day!! sorry so long...i ramble sometimes!

going to bed now....nitey nite
marie

oh, i started tanning this weekend....my tummy is burnt...that's alot of red!!!not a pretty sight. :rolleyes1

Don't worry about the donut-fest yesterday, I'm sure you won't have a repeat performance today!

Wow, your school is way more lenient than mine. DS got into a pushing/shoving match with another kid earlier this school year and they both got suspended for a day! After the pushing, the other kid punched DS in the back, and DS turned around and punched him in the chest...

How does your DS do at home with homework? How were his grades in the past? I'm sure summer school is not on his list of fun things to do this summer, but if he is having problems it might be the best solution. Hang in there! :grouphug:

Yeah, Amy, they are pretty lenient. I think they are tougher w/ the one that initates the fight. Like I said, they are supposed to have a meeting today...
Also, the first part of the year, his grades were good....all A's & B's... this last nine or twelve weeks have been the struggle. He did great w/ multiplication....it's the division that's killing him. His homework at home is fine....except for math. I sat w/ him for over an hour to do 10 problems!
I'm hangin in there, but only by a thread!!

and yes, donut fest is over! already through my first 24 oz of water and had toast for b-fast....so far so good!

marie

Our school has "zero tolerance". It doesn't matter who started it. They told DS he should have told on the other kid or walked away. Right, like a 4th grade boy is gonna do that!

I don't know what to say on the math. Have you tried flash cards? Just remind him that division is the opposite of multiplication. There has to be some little trick that will make it click in his brain! My DS was really struggling with multiplication flash cards at the beginning of the year and when I asked him to explain his thought process, I found out that to do a problem like 8x7, instead of searching the memory bank for the correct answer, he was doing 8x10 - 8x3... talk about making it WAY harder than it needs to be! And of course it kills me, Ms Engineer with a Math Minor. Sometimes DH has to help him with math because I get frustrated when DS doesn't understand how I am explaining it... Good luck with your meeting today!

Don't ya love that Sara Lee Breakfast toast? :cloud9:
