As I'm new here, I'm also new at any type of photography other than using an antique, 2.2MP, PnS Kodak. I recently purchased a Canon S3 for our upcoming WDW trip to try to capture more than the "tourist with a disposable" type shots. I love B&W shots, and I knew of a place I wanted to give it a try... a log cabin in the woods.
So here it is, my first B&W shot ever:

I like the way B&W gives the cabin more of the "rustic" look, even though the cabin is less than 10 years old.
We will soon to be staying at Port Orleans Riverside, in the Magnolia Bend section and I plan to experiment more with B&W on the plantation mansions. Hopefully I come up with something "above average".

Love the cat picture Kmadams--nice use of selective coloring.

Firefox (and the other Mozilla browsers) do not show you when a photo is not able to be loaded. I believe that they will show a "broken" image if a picture has its size specified, though, because that is often necessary to keep a layout from being broken.fitzperry said:Hmmm. . . . if I look at it in IE instead of Firefox, then I get the box with the little red x in it, but in Firefox, it looks like nothing is there at all except the text.![]()
