Shortcut thru Boardwalk’s main pool to walkway to DHS??

I can’t figure out how to get to the main pool from the boardwalk walkway that runs around the lake. I’ve stayed at Beach Club twice and walked to DHS both times and always ended up walking alllll the way down to the end between Atlantic Dance Hall and Jellyrolls to access the path to DHS. Could never locate the “cut thru”. Can someone explain to me in detail where this is? This is what I found online but the info just didn’t work for me because I couldn’t find this “breezeway” it mentions....

If you get to the “green/lawn” on the back of the hotel, you will walk between the workout room and a gift shop. This will take you to the pool. You will be facing the lobby when you get to the green and head to the breezeway on your right.

When you get to the hotel, and can see the big stairs which lead from the water level up to the lobby level: walk toward the hotel (away from the water). Stand so that you are facing the hotel. On the right edge of the hotel, there is a place where you can turn right. After you turn right, the hotel building will be on your left and the gift shop buildings will be on your right. That is the "cut through" a/k/a "the breezeway." When you enter, it feels more like an alleyway to me.

(Don't get caught up in technical architectural distinctions like BoardWalk Inn versus BoardWalk Villas, or whether the gift shops on the BoardWalk are actually part of the hotel/villa complex. That will just confuse you.)

This breezeway is pretty easy to find. Exit the main building, head down the stairs and point yourself towards the boat dock. Walk on the left path around the lawn like you're going towards the DVC side of Boardwalk. Pass by the covered area with a number of chairs inside. A little further down, there is a breezeway on your left that goes to the clown pool, gym, and I think arcade.
From there you're on your own, I've only made it as far as the pool area.

When walking from BC towards the BW, make a left going towards the stairs to the main lobby of the BW after the surrey bike rental. When you get to the art gallery, make a right through the alleyway going past the arcade and workout room. You will enter the pool area and just hug the left side and you will cut some distance and time off heading to DHS.

Yes, the art gallery is a good landmark to use. Go through the alley and when you get to the pool area you can always ask someone if the signage isn't clear.
