Shooting at Va Tech

Makes you wonder if there are/were 2 shooters? Maybe they thought they had the shooter in custody. Then I also wonder if the first shooting was unrelated to the second set? What if that is just a coincidence? I guess I just trying to wrap my head around the big time difference between the two.

It makes me think 2 different shootings also. It is what makes sense. I just don't want to think things were so laxed on the campus.

Channel 7, Eyewitness News, NY just reported 32 dead, including the shooter. They gave no other information.

They said one of the injuries was a student jumping from the 3rd floor of the building when the gunman was shooting.

OK, I read that TWICE scrolling on the channel and was shocked. Just shocked.

To go from 21 or 22 to 32...OMG, this has to be the saddest day in America.

What a tragic day....32 dead. We heard on our local radio station that it was girlfriend related. This school will never be the same. Hugs and Prayers for all families and individuals involved. A sad day in the commonwealth.

I think they are pretty sure it was just one shooter. Haven't heard anything about a second shooter lately.

The news report I am watching here in the UK has just said 32 confirmed dead. So so sad.

CNN is saying 22, ABC is saying 32. A report came out that the FBI confirmed 32 dead, but I don't have any kind of link to that.

This is a sad sad sad day. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of the friends, families, classmates, and teachers.

this is just a terrible story..ABC has local VA news on and they are saying at least 29 killed and 21 wounded..MSN has a video from one of the students shot (in his arm, he is due to be released from the hospital this afternoon)..he described the shooter as a 20 something Asian person..there are so many conflicting reports coming out..but it's a sad sad situation. God Bless all those involved in this horrible tragedy!

I just listened to an interview of one of the students on campus. Apparently school related information is e-mailed to students. He said even though the first shooting took place around 7am, he didn't receive e-mail notification until 9:26am. Even then, the e-mail did not address the gravity of the situation. It stated that the school was investigating a shooting incident and that was it. They didn't cancel classes at that time.

Yes, there is video now on Google video of what is happening. He is standing outside the building, you can hear the gunfire happening in the background, oh my god what is going on in that building

There's no talking on the video but the student was just narrating about it on CNN.

Based on what they said, it's the sound of gunshots from the shooter.

I'm still floored over this. DD and DD's BF are still calling all their friends, checking on everyone. So far they are okay... DD is very upset and I'm even more upset to be 8 hours away from her.
