Shhh! Super Secret Winter Warm Up Girls Only February Get Away (from the snow)

You'll be fine. The 1st row is right at the edge of the stage and they come out to the edge at times and even into the audience.

That will be really neat. I'm very excited that I finally took the plunge!

Thanks--yes, my friend Kristi IS a riot. She's a former hippie :hippie:, mother of 7 (and 6 of them are boys) homeschooler, technology and photography geek (genius!). I absolutely adore her! :worship:

If I didn't say this before, we live on a dairy farm and so we always have barn kitties. My kids and I love them. DH tolerates them. Although last winter he built them a hay fort on the back porch so they could be close to the house and stay warm. :thumbsup2 That little kitty is just beautiful. I think he has some Maine Coon in him (we had one a few years back that showed up for a while).

Awww, I just love cats! Thankfully so does my husband. We don't have children yet, just a fur baby thats spoiled rotten!!

I've been waiting to post this for a couple of days, but look what arrived in my mailbox this week!

YAY for Cirque :woohoo::yay: Never seen a show, but have only ever heard good things about it!

Glad to hear your husband is now on board!! You don't have to do any more undercover planning!

I should not be left alone with free time on my hands. Things happen. You know, come to think of it, just checking my reservations tends to result in things happening. Such as....adding a day to my trip.

If they would just have scheduled a Fantasmic show while we were going to be there....but since they didn't, I changed our return date to the 14th rather than the 13th.

And while I was at it I changed a few ADRs. *sigh*
Here's the current list (and I'm really pretty excited about it!)

Tony's Town Square (new!)
Crystal Palace
LeCellier
Rose & Crown
Yak & Yeti
Boma
Wolfgang Puck
Coral Reef (new!)
Marrakesh (totally excited about adding this one!)
Mama Melrose (new)

DH and I had a fabulous date night on Saturday. We had dinner at the Cheesecake Factory, paid a visit to the Disney Store (where I scored 3 princess plush princess:princess:princess: and one Sorcerer Mickey :smickey: at buy one, get one free plus used my Disney visa and got 10% off) and then we had a beautiful evening at the Colbie Caillat / Jason Mraz concert at the Merriweather Post Pavilion. The weather was perfect and the concert was just wonderful. Loved every minute.

I guess I was on some sort of concert "high" or something. DH and I used to go to concerts quite a bit before we had kids but we hadn't been in years! But when we got back that night, I got online and found James Blunt tickets in Atlantic City for December. DH can't be gone then because of too many new calves, so I invited my friend Ann to go with me. So we're taking a road trip to NJ and staying in some swanky hotel and hearing James Blunt! WOOT!

I guess I'm not with the times, because I have no clue who any of those muscians are. LOL!

I KNOW I read on here yesterday about a new Disney visa savings code, but I could not find the post today. However, I called Disney about my existing reservation. EASIEST :goodvibes call I have EVER made to Disney! She was able to change my exisiting reservation (with my added day!) and saved me $250! I'm SO excited! :cool1: I was on and off the phone with my new total in about 4 minutes! GREAT CM named "Velvet".

Here's the link to the offer if anyone is interested: Disney Visa Code Offer

I think I read that it becomes available to the general public October 5.

There's been so much rain around here the last month that we are all going a bit stir-crazy! It's dangerous because I end up spending more time on the computer when the weather is so dreary. We had ONE day without rain in the month of September. ONE. I need some :sunny: Disney!

So in my travels around the internet :surfweb: I found some great things to get DD as little gifts for our trip. I thought I would theme them a little bit toward our plans for each day. So, here we go:

For Magic Kingdom Day:A little crystal ball necklace for the "MAGIC"

I have a "crystal ball" in my therapy office. And when the kids ask me a question to which I cannot possibly know the answer such as "mom, where did I leave my hair brush?" I tend to reply, "Oh I don't know, let me get my crystal ball and I"ll look it up." The other day I asked DD a question about something and she said to me, "I don't know, Mom. Let me get my crystal ball...." and gave me one of these: :rolleyes1

For EPCOT days: 2 pearl cages and a chain.
Last time we were at Epcot for 2 days and she wanted to pick a pearl both times. She named her pearls and carried them around with her. We had to stop frequently so she could take them out and check on them. She's already said she wants to do it again.

AND: this Doctor Who with Union Jack flag neckace
DD and I ADORE Doctor Who. She keeps asking me for something representing the show. I bought myself the matching earrings:

FOR ANIMAL KINGDOM DAY:A panda necklace:
DD's current favorite animal. She actually saw this necklace so I know she likes it, but she does not know that I ordered it for her.

And I found this for me: (giraffes are my favorite animals)
The shirts are layered and SO comfortable. I love them! DD is very jealous! She keeps telling me to get her the matching shirt so she can have one too!

FOR OUR DTD/LaNouba DAY:
I found this adorable miniature painting of a trapeze artist. She's really into gymnastics right now and so I think she's going to LOVE LaNouba.

FOR HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS DAY:A lovely little treasure chest for her treasures.
HS will probably be our last park day so then she can have something to carry home her jewelry.

So I'm pretty happy with what I found! Everything represents something that is special to her. So, what do you think?

Lenora, you are nuts! But hey, we all love you! I wish I could tag along for the February trip, but I know I am getting laid off in March and my severance package is paying for the trip with Natalie later in the year. Maybe the following year we can do a DIS girls only trip?? :rolleyes1

Oh and Glen says you are evil for giving me such ideas as a girls only trip (mostly because he doesn't want to dress like a girl for a week so he could go too!) I'm so glad I converted him!! :rotfl2:

Love your plan so far and I vote for going to MK day 1. I can't get enough of that castle.

As for Chefs de France, they have a yummy grilled ham & cheese sandwich that Anna would probably like. And you can't beat Remmy coming by to say hi either!

Can't wait to read more!

Thanks for reading all my secrets! I didn't know you had a trip coming up. Yes, please torture me with photos! I have LOVED all of Natalie's posts (well, except for today when she had to leave and got stuck at the airport for 4 hours. That was just sad:sad2:.)

Hi Katie! I would jump at another trip next February especially if you could come too. That would be very, very fun! I'm thinking at some point a "grown-up girls trip" would be fun! And please tell Glen I am not "evil" just "conniving". Big difference! :rotfl2:

I know what you mean about the castle. One of my very fondest memories of Disney is from the year BFF and I went together. We were the last ones standing on Main street, staring longingly at the castle as they closed down the park. I mean it. The LAST two people! :cloud9: We were afraid we were going to miss our bus back to the resort. But it was totally worth it!

I love all the little gifts!!!!!!

I really wish I could come in Feb :sad1:

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: I actually think Glen would look sort of cute in a dress. (we are SO going to be in trouble Natalie! He'll probably never let Katie alone with us!)

I'm thrilled with my little gifts! I can't wait to give them to her. Her birthday is in November and it's going to be really hard not to give her that Doctor Who necklace for her birthday!

I just added some links to the PTR posts on my first page. It's all coming back to me now....:goodvibes

Sometimes my DD is too funny. Usually it's when she's not intending to be....

DH: (coming into the kitchen from upstairs) YOUR daughter takes FOREVER in the bath!!! :headache: She would NOT get out!
Me: Was she using her new bubble bath?
DH: Oh yes. (sarcastically) Her new bubble bath, washing her hair, everything. She calls it "Cleansing Monday."
Me: What is that???
DH: I have no idea...she just kept going on and on about it. Like she was doing some sort of instructional video or something.

Later I mentioned it to DD.

Me: So I heard you took a really long bath tonight.
DD: Yep.
Me: Daddy said something about "cleansing Monday."
DD: (very excitedly) Yes, mommy. On Monday's I have to clean EVERYTHING really good to wash off the weekend.
Me: :confused3:rotfl: (wondering where she gets this stuff and what she's doing in the bath the other 6 days of the week)

What? No sarcastic comments? I am so disappointed!!! ;) Thanks for joining in DoP! Any trip plans on your horizon?

Please accept my most sincerest of apologies. I can honestly say this is the first time in my life a women was disappointed in my performance. :teeth:
