Shaping up for 2.0

did an hour on the eliptical at the gym this morning, just got back from a 3.6 mile jog and since I am now hot as *BLEEP* I am going to go jump in the pool!

a 2 mile slow jog and way too much food today. Tomorrow is a new day.

I went for an afternoon walk today before we left for the game. I think they put in some more hills in our neighborhood since last fall.....

Well, I gained back the loss from last week.

But that's ok! I'm not bummed nor sad. I haven't had a gain like this in the 6 months I've been doing Weight Watchers. But here's why I'm not upset:

I've lost a considerable amount of weight and maintained that loss over the course of 6 months.

I wanted to share this to show people that even when you have a setback, there's absolutely no reason to throw in the towel and convince yourself that you shouldn't at least continue to try. This seems to go with the theme I wrote about last week about people not being perfect.

I know that I will get back on track losing, even though I did everything "right". I figured there would be times my body would want to rebel, but it all seems to even out in the end.

FYI: I went out to dinner after the musical I went to tonight. I ate at The Cheesecake Factory. I wanted to share that there were options on the menu that read: Weight Management ______. I ordered the "weight management" pear endive salad and enjoyed it. Based on the calories that the menu listed, I had estimated it at 12 points. Not bad at all. And no, I did not have cheesecake!

You have a great attitude. Today is a brand new healthy day. I had an "I love it" size cup of delicious Cold Stone Creamery goodness yesterday!! A few extra minutes at the gym for me today! :lmao:

I enjoy hearing that you are human! Every bad day I try to start over fresh. Keep working out and running and my motivation stays high. Lack of exercise really puts me in a slump.

Gained one pound back this week, but that just makes me more determined to try to lose 2 pounds this week. But if all I do is get back off that 1 lousy pound, then I'm good with that too!

Here's to wishing everyone a great and successful week with whatever your goals may be!

Well, it didn't budge as far as I'd have liked, but the pesky scale did creep downward this week. :yay: Pretty much only wiped out the gain from last week, plus .2 of a pound, but I'll take it.

I think the goal for this week for me will be to keep up the exercise I did last week (30 minutes X 4 days), and to shave off an extra WW point a day. For the record, I know you hafta eat all your points to lose, but I've been following the so-called "Wendie plan" that staggers your points and uses some of the flex points on most days, so I'm gonna try dropping myself down one point and see where that gets me (if anywhere :rolleyes1). The idea of staggering the points and raising and lowering day to day makes sense to me; just hoping for a bit of a jump start this week.

BriarRose, your post is really inspiring to me. I've spent the last few years losing a bit, plateauing and maybe showing a tiny gain for a few weeks, and giving up completely. Aaand then gaining everything back, plus some. :headache: You're so right, though. Sometimes it takes a while for the scale to catch up with what you're doing, but if you know you're doing the right thing, sometimes you just have to be patient. So while being patient, I'll look to you for inspiration. :worship:

Hey, I can snarf down a pint of Ben & Jerry's, EASY! I just choose not to do that anymore. I have been less lazy in my food habits, taking the time to choose healthier options. The produce store has been my friend.

Gonna make me blush!
I bolded the part that interested me the most. You lost. No matter what it was, you still lost. I'm looking at the big picture. :)

Today was my rest day. I have lost 2.5 lbs in two weeks. :woohoo:

My goal this week is to walk at least 3 miles a day, working toward 4 miles. Also to drink at least 64 ozs of water a day and less soda.

went for 2 jogs for a total of 4.6 miles, did 60 minutes on the eliptical and 10 on the stair climber while at the gym today and throw in I did my lawn today in 92 degree weather....all that equals one exhausted dude!

Morning folks!

I did not have internet access at home part of the weekend, so I am somewhat behind here. I am just gonna jump back in rather than trying to catch up.

78 weeks until PCC 2.0!

Grats to the losers this past week and WTG on all the weekend activity!!

I was down another .4 this week at WI. I'll take it. I am gonna try to for a whole pound this week! ;)

:cheer2:

I would love to join in  On the last dis unplugged cruise I was on weight watchers and I only gained 1 1/2 lbs when I weighed myself at home and by the time I weighed in at weight watchers I actually lost it :thumbsup2 I actually ate and drink anything I wanted to on the ship but I didn't stuff myself and we walked up and down the stairs a lot!!

I still want to lost about another 15lbs and lately they are going off real slowwww :sad2:. I guess I got to get moving some more!!

Have any of you participated in Mars Candy's Free Chocolate Fridays?
I did.
Yesterday I ate my free Three Musketeers bar. It was good, but was it really worth 260 calories? No! It was not THAT good.

I have never been on a "diet". This is the first time I have really paid attention to the calories in the food I eat vs. the exercise it takes to burn calories. Some calories are just not worth it.

If I am going to go overboard with calories, it better be something that is REALLY yummy.

Good luck to the rest of you balancing calories in and calories burned. :cheer2:

I walked 1.5 miles this morning. I drank my 64 ozs of water for today also. I may get another walk in tonight weather permitting. They are calling for spotty showers in the area.

Yay! You are a walking machine!!

I walked for 20 minutes today. Now if I can keep it up and add to it...:thumbsup2

I walked 2.1 miles this morning, slowly working toward the 3 mile goal for this week.

I only made it out to walk for 10 minutes yesterday. I am aiming for a little more today. I think my scheduled should calm down next week to allow for some lunchtime/evening walks as well.

Went for a run last night. Went 2.5 miles. I think that we might just be able to make the 5k in 2 weeks. I have also lost 3 pounds since starting this also.

T

I have my WW weigh in at noon - and I'm FREAKING OUT!!! I don't know why I'm so nervous... :scared:
