On another note.............. was perusing the design thread and read about another designer having issues with people STEALING designs and sellinging them as thier own............. which is bad enough, but, we are NOT allowed to SELL any designs we make per Disney copyright laws.......... she advised we ALL google our names............... so, I did and guess what - YEP, some jackwhack STOLE MY WORK and is selling it................... I'm SO offended and mad - I did send them a nasty little note, but, other than that, I really have no recourse.......... it's just beyond imagination that there are people like that - I wish my Jambo wildbunch and I could go "fix" her little wagon..............................

So, I think this has made the decision for me, I was on the fence about coming back and designing again........... now, I know for sure I'm not. I'm NOT going to put all the time and effort into it - to have this happen. However, if any of my Jambo friends ever want anything, please don't hesitate to ask!!!

I really can't believe some people. Still, I am a strong believer in Karma. What goes round comes round. I am sorry that you had your work stolen.

Thanks again everyone, you are are such wonderful friends and so supportive! I know you all understand my dilemma. We couldn't go, but I'm still devastated with the decision. I couldn't make her travel with the situation, but on the other hand we had the Doctor's and nurses blessing so it wasn't until she broke down and told me how truly scared she was that I realized we had to decide to cancel.

I'm pretty sure that the Jamborini meet will have to be canceled as well, but I have until September 11 to make the decision. If she is still on the wound vac, it will be a no brainer. I'm just assuming that I'll need to use all my DVC in California from here on out. I'm not going to entertain fantasies about going to WDW, but I will live through all your posts and TRs that someday I will make it back to the AKL sometime in my life.

I just hope that after all the updates are done in CA that we get our F&W festival back so I don't feel so gypped that I won't make it back to FL ever again (at least in the foreseeable future). Our festival is way different, but still a lot of fun. If I'm not staying in Florida at all my points will most likely get me Thursday and Friday nights for the entire F&W festival. That way I can get in line and be a maniac who waits all day to see all the celebrity chefs. They don't reserve CA events in advance (at least at the last festival) and it was first come basis. If you were there at park opening, you were able to see the celebrity chef. I am planning on doing that for all future events, so we need to be staying at the park.



I don't quiet understand about what you do and how someone stole from you, but that is awful that they did. What sort of designs would you be able to offer to your Jambo friends? And what would we use them for?

I just loved the pictures of all your kiddos! What cuties! You are so lucky!

Please do not give up hope. Your time will come and it will be all the more special when it does.

Another Saturday working, and some of my coworkers are writing nasty comments about me on Facebook. It's hard not to take it personally... I'm still in training since its a new job, and they're mad I'm not doing a full load. People can be so mean sometimes.

I am so sorry that you have to go through this.

The funny thing is after my orientation I'll be the supervisor of these people, so you'd think they'd want to be nice to me.... I went out to dinner and am feeling less glum about the whole thing. I'm sure it will continue, I just hope I don't hear about it.

I remember this phase of my life only too well. When I first was promoted I had to face all kinds of *****iness. The soon gave up.

I don't know if I should get too excited but I booked a week in December for OKW. I'm hoping to use my AP one last time so we'll see if it works.

OKW is our home resort and we love it to bits. If I can help with any information, please let me know.

I found out last week while I was away on travel that my DH David was being laid off from his job. He has worked for this company for 19 years. The only job he has had beside being in the Army.

He is a disabled veteran who fought in two different wars and this is how he is treated by the company he has stood by for 19 years.

I am heartsick, and he is heart broken. He has done so much for the people who work for him, stood up for them when the company wanted them fired, he has gone before the customer to plead people's cases for them, he has given way too much of his time to fix all the problems and create a well functioning team. He has taken pressure off his boss above him by doing more than is required for his position and the guy just told him "hey we can't keep you on, you are gone by the end of the month". That was it, no explanation, nothing... just we got to let you go.

I think my David deserves more than that.

Am I being biased b/c he is my DH, or do companies these days just not care about people anymore?

David is just so upset right now, he has made himself sick. He can't eat, he can't sleep. He mind can not stop thinking of all the wrongs.

anyway, thanks for letting me spill the beans here...

I am so sorry that David and you had to go through this.

So I didn't finalize the room reservation last night because I still haven't 100% decided whether I would fly in late Sunday night or early Mon AM. And of course there's no 2-bedrooms for all 3 nights at AKV at all right now. Which is ok because I'm not set on staying there, I wouldn't mind staying at a different DVC resort. My other options are likely to be Old Key West or Saratoga Springs - AKL lovers have any preference over either one?

I most likely wouldn't need the 2 bedroom for the 1st night because I'm pretty
sure the rest of the family is not going to meet me there after midnight. Depending on how flight plans play out I think I might just get a studio for the 1st night (if I fly down late Sun) then move into the 2 bedroom (or whatever I end up booking) when it's available Monday - it wouldn't be too many hours without a room and most likely I would be at the park during those hours anyways.




LOVE this pin. (I'm only a mom to a fur baby and a Godmother which is important to me, but it's still not quite the same to actually own Mothers Day product).

My preference would be OKW.

What soured the last trip report for me is that people put pressure on me to post the next installment.

I know that nobody here would put any pressure on me. This is the reason why this little family are the only people apart from Graham who I have shared with that I will be doing a trip report.
