Newbie question: is there place pool side to order food or do you have to go into the Mara? Thinking about a piña colada and nachos by the pool!

You can get your drink at the pool bar.

On a recent trip to the pool bar , I overheard someone ordering food from the bartender, but I don't know what she ordered or where the food came from.

There are certain parts of our vacation that I really do want to write about and it just seems silly to do bits and pieces. This time round I will do it at my pace. What soured the last trip report for me is that people put pressure on me to post the next installment.

Oh, I'm so glad! You were on the Wonder weren't you? I'm really looking forward to our trip on the Wonder and hoping that all the healing is done by then. Your TR was one of the ones that got me so excited about taking a MR cruise. I really enjoyed your last TR, and I'm glad you'll take it slowly. I'm reading so many TRs that I keep getting far behind on all of them. I feel pressured to catch up.

I'm thinking of starting a PTR for my cruise since I don't have much else to say for my Fall WDW trip. I planned it all once, so planning it again hasn't been all that exciting.

....even if you do have to go inside to the Mara, it's literally a stone's throw away - DEFINITELY not a long walk from the pool at ALL!

We stayed at BCV a long long time ago and loved SAB, that's one of the reasons we got points there. I really hope Fran has healed well enough so that we can take our trip there this Fall, I can't wait to be back!

Ahhhhh.....you were brave enough to click over there and check out the treatment! I had no idea! She gets new naughty bits next Monday. We watch all kinds of those Crime Scene Dramas, I wonder if the DNA will sink into her and she will have multiple DNA profiles!

I'm starting to think that since this will be a quick trip for me and it will likely be hot there I might just spend most of time enjoying the resort, SAB, and the Boardwalk area - nice having DVC and knowing I'll be back for park time in the future.

There is a dedicated thread for OKW but of course I can't seem to find it now. It's not a real active thread but everyone seems really nice and helpful. If I run across it I'll post it here but of course I probably won't remember who was looking for it .... old age setting in!!! I'll be there for 4 nights in Oct in a studio near HH. If you take a look at my ticker you'll see I'm staying a little bit of everywhere!

Thank you Linda I couldn't get near the HH, so I'm thinking I'll just take what I can get unless one area is not so good, but I can't imagine that would be the case.

...my DS's GF's parents are DVC owners - he's been to SSR, BWV, BC/YS, and OKW; his personal fave was SSR, but he said that OKW wasn't too bad. He really enjoyed the [then] newly refurbed pool area....OKW is one of the closest to DTD, which takes NOTORIOUSLY long to get there!

I just tweeked our AKL res, orig. was going to spend all 12 nights pool room, now changed and booked last 6 nights AKL CL

So excited. Can you tell me about AKL CL? It's my understanding unlike BC & other CLs, AKL doesn't have a desig. AKL CL room floor? I would be on 4th floor? 5 & 6 are DVC?

I'm a tad confused. Depending on what site you read- CL rooms are regular rooms on 4th floor, then some say CL are deluxe rooms on 5th Floor, and DVC is 6th? Along with Lounge.

I know it will be a little different. Last Aug we stayed CL at BC. Our first CL experience! I've heard so many great things about AKL CL.

How does it work, because we are first staying in a regular Pool View room for our first 6 days, then switching to CL. Do I go down to the lobby and find someone who will take me to CL for check in our moving day?
