We are planning to stay at AKV next April/May , and I'm not sure whether to book Kidani or Jambo-- opinions, please?

Also, has anyone stayed in the value villas? I'd really like to get the scoop on what makes them "value", and how big of a deal it is. We will be booking a 2BDR for our family of 7. (actually-- we're going with another family, so we'll be booking 2 2BDRs). Thanks!

No problem that you didn't read through to find your answer. I'm not sure your answer is even in here anywhere!!

For space and functionality, Kidani would be the better choice. Jambo's big advantage is that the 3 restaurants (1 of which is the quick service) are there. Kidani has one TS restaurant, Sanaa. You can also get a light meal at the pool, but no counter service otherwise. I feel the pool at Kidani is a bit more kid-friendly; although both pools are awesome!

The "Value" villas are only at Jambo. I have never stayed in a 2-bedroom Value, but I have been in a Value studio and a Value 1-bedroom. They are smaller (including less storage space) than the other villas at Jambo, which is why they are "Value" and less points. They are fewer in number, so can be hard to get.

I'm sure the 2-bedroom Value would be acceptable to both families. However, for a "WOW" it's hard to beat a 2-bedroom at Kidani!! Even the 1-bedroom there has 2 FULL bathrooms!!

The Jambo villas were retro-fitted from the existing hotel rooms. Kidani was built specifically to be a DVC.

Space vs Location. Now having said that, you'll be in Disney World -- what could be better?!!!!
