Seven Dwarfs Mine Train FP+ Opening

I am OK with waiting until it is official so that my SDMT FP+ does not POOF taking my other FP+ with it.

I'm an AP and tried today, tomorrow, the next day and so on and so forth and nothing. Not even showing up as an option. If anyone has gotten a FP+, can you share a screengrab or something so we know this is legit?

The Mine Train attraction page now says "OPENING SOON". I know this isn't much but I think it previously said Spring 2014

Seriously can't stand it anymore... I want a FP for this Sunday so badly!!!! I really thought they'd be available after the big media announcement... but I'm starting to think it just ain't gonna happen! :sad1:

they will probably have a couple weeks of soft openings before they start allowing people to schedule fp+

I know it's comparing apples to oranges but... the Anna & Elsa meet and greet at Mk just showed up as a FP+ option all of a sudden once they actually opened up the meet and greet in MK. Maybe we have to wait until the actual opening day. :-/ that would suck.

Well... hopefully we can het a soft opening ride then.... how does one get so lucky to obtain that???
Usually you just have to be at the right place at the right time. If they decide to open it at 1pm the day you're there and you're in New Fantasyland you may be lucky to get on. If you're across the park in adventureland you may miss it. I'd stick to twitter/disboards/facebook and watch the groups that live tweet. That's how we got to see New Fantasyland during soft openings. I got an alert from a group I follow on twitter about CMs allowing people in when it had been closed that morning. So we rushed over and got to see it and ride Little Mermaid.

A&E was out for a while before they moved. They released more FPs when it opened but we had one long before that.

Just have to be in the right place at the right time. We were lucky enough to ride Soarin & Everest during their soft openings. Good luck- sending pixie dust. pixiedust:

when the new version of star tours and when fantasy land opened and they would just randomly allow guests to get on it they would be open for a few hours and then close for a few hours so it was pretty random. what i would do is check here and maybe even search twitter for people posting about it that would give you a hint if soft openings are going on... honestly imo they are going to happen very very soon all the walls to the ride are down and they have CMS standing in front of the entrance.

I do not believe this is true. They had FP+ weeks before the actual move to MK. On opening day, it just looks like they opened up more available FPs.

Be in the right place at the right time. We were at Disney World during the first week of New Fantasyland soft openings in October 2012 and we were able to experience the new attractions on an intermittent basis. Because it's in soft opening, rides in particular tend to go up and down on an irregular basis. You can't really predict when there will be operational or other challenges during a soft opening, which is why I wouldn't expect FP+ to be available until after the official grand opening of the ride. Soft opening implies that the ride won't be available on a consistent basis, which would make issuing FP+s nearly impossible.

Someone can correct me, but I believe the legacy FP system was not up and running during the first soft openings of the Little Mermaid ride.

Thanks! I'm thinking about hanging around FL just to get a chance to ride... this is an adult only leisurely weekend:woohoo:

I guess then it must be that my travel days opened up during the same time they arrived at MK because I checked for weeks before (already had FP for other things scheduled) and they were not available until the day they opened at MK.

That is likely what happened as I had A&E FP+ for weeks before their move to MK.

Currently in MK. CM at front of ride said not opening until later in May. When I asked about soft openings this week he said they don't know but his facial expressions certainly changed when I asked and he answered. Lots of CM training in and around the ride. Also I saw empty trains were running last night.
