the o.c. fire is still burning and the evacauation site is in the nearby neighborhood. the san diego fire is terrible. so we have fires on the right of us and to the left of us 
Yes, they said that the Santiago (o.c. fire) was deliberate and almost professionally done as they knew exactly where to start a fire where it would cover a lot of land and do a lot of damage. A lot of people have lost their homes in the canyons because those are older homes. While in a community like ours and the ones in foothill ranch and stevenson ranch (the fire didn't get to them), the builders abide by the new and very strict fire codes. For example, the homes don't have wood shingles or wood siding etc. Most of our homes are stucco and we have tiled roof.
