September 28, 2016, DVC Member Cruise on the Magic!

Hi, Bobb. This is my 2nd Member cruise. And I'm interested in Adult's Fish Extender. Are you going to have the program this time?

I do not know of any adult FE group, sorry.
I'm only doing the Candy exchange, you are welcomed to join that!

:welcome: To the discussion here.

Have we discussed a meet?
How about a breakfast meet on the first morning in the sit down restaurant off the atrium? If we meet at 8:25, we could be seated by 8:30, be served breakfast and get to chat a bit while going over the activities we have chosen for the day.
Any other ideas?

Just a reminder if anyone has not sent me Candy/snack exchange information, please do so. I'll be sending info to all around the middle of August, for sure by August 15. Still time to join!

We are in for the breakfast meet

There is one, it's being organized outside of this thread.

We would love to join for breakfast. Is anyone up for earliest seating? wouldn't want to miss any fun 9am events. Do they even have any 9am events?!?! I seriously have to dig up some old navigators. too funny! love this cruise!

Interest in Breakfast meet....particulars to be determined

Bobbi
Poison Ivy
Jmedina

Anyone else?

I am not sure what time the MDR with table service opens for breakfast, and if someone can check a few Navigators to see if it's pretty consistent that would be great. I would be happy to be a bit earlier, 8 would be doable for us. I am not sure if my info from last year's MC is in NJ or Ohio. I do not remember what earliest scheduled times were.

A breakfast meet sounds great! Count Gayle and me in. I did the first cruise out of NYC in 2012 with the b2b Cruise to nowhere and they did the Canada again in Sept. 2012 when they offered a good deal through DVC. I LOVE sailing out of NYC. Can't wait for this one.

Thanks for the link to the Navigators! So, you had both Statia Martin and Ducky in 2013! I must have missed that cruise. Statia was on in 2014, when the 50th anniversaries of both Mary Poppins and The 1964 Worlds Fair were celebrated.

Care to state preferred time?

I have an update from Go North Tours. Laila has submitted her paperwork regarding cargo pier access to the port authority and should hear back in a few days. Looking good.

The breakfast meet sounds good to me. On our 2013 cruise, at Sea day was day 3 with events beginning at 9am, so I think we should do first seating for the meet. That way we can get in and out with no problem...I'll have the "grand slam" please.

Tinked - I hear you're from South Jersey. Us too. We are over the bridge from Philly not far from the old Olga's Diner.

There is no first seating for breakfast unless you are referring to opening time.

So lots of south Jerseyans! My heart and future address is in Cape May!

yes, that would be the restaurant opening time. It's been awhile since the Magic hosted a Member Cruise, but I'll check Triton's breakfast times last year on the Wonder for the at sea days. to try to get an idea. I think it was 8 am.

Tinked you've cruised Canada?!?!
Did you drive to the NYC port?
Did you visit Halifax?
would love to hear about it.

We also did the Magic to Canada in 2012 and drove to the port. What do you need to know?

great! We have a PAT at 11:30 so I'm working out logistics. Did you park at the port? I remember reading parking was on the rooftop with a bag drop off on a lower level but it was confusing to figure out. Can you drive straight up to the roof and walk down with your bags? Also the spaces on the roof seemed limited. Was there ample parking?

oh and what did you guys do in Halifax?

It appears that Tritons is opened from 8:00-9:30 for breakfast
In case there is a DVC program scheduled at 9, it has been suggested that 8:00 be the meeting time
Will that work?
