(I tried search but couldn't fine anything on this)

I just looked and on my app it says there is a ticketed event at MK sunday morning 745 am- 9am

on the wdw website it lists opening as 9 am with welcome show at 8:40 am

I have AP and want to see the Welcome Show - anyone know what this ticketed event is prior to opening? I hope the website is correct in that the Welcome Show will still be on at 8:40 am.

Anyone know?

It's the Early Morning Magic event in Fantasyland. Regular opening time is still at 9. Yes there should still be a welcome show.

It is the ticketed event "extra morning magic"

The welcome show will still be done at regular park opening. It's not done for the early guests

EMM: done at regular park opening
EMH: done at the start of EMH and not at regular opening
Regular day: just about 20 min before park opening
