no drawing here... lol... was already in my brain - just hadn't figured out what to do yet... lol... had thought about the tops too for a couple of them...

no we don't have a Joannes here in our part of Canada - not sure if bigger cities like Toronto or Montreal would... we do have Fabricville though so should be able to get material there plus my mom's does tons of sewing so she might have some material too... or I just have an excuse for a weekend trip to Bangor. ME... :)

yeh - mines only 8 and gotta pretween it for her... lol... thinking sequined ribbon at bottom or you might try silver or clear ribbon... just adding Justin Bieber to it would be enough to get her to wear it but he's not disney lol...

oooohhh - the sequined ribbon would work for Hollywood Studios though... lol...

Thank you for that idea!!! My 7 yr old won't care but my 11 yr old the sequin is great!!! I will have to go today and search for some!! well off to church....TTYL

I got my patterns at youcanmakethis.com I know they are cheaper at JS's sometimes but I can reuse and save the downloaded pattern to a USB and re-use and re-use.

Speaking of lists...Well I am so anal, that I package the girls outfits in those LARGE ziplock clothing bags and pack them by day. Even their undies, pants, socks, etc. I like to know where everything is together and don't like digging through luggage.:confused3

I do this every trip!:thumbsup2 I love having the kids full outfits organized in their ziploc bags with their names on name, date it is to be worn, etc. Makes things so much easier!

As others have mentioned, we also always use a pop up hamper for dirty clothes and an over the door shoe organizer to hold all our misc items because when we stay at Pop we need all the extra space we can get :)

Also, we always have to pack a power strip so we can plug in all our electronics (2 cell phones, ipods, etc)

I need to stay even more organized this trip since this is our first time doing a split stay and hoping our transition from Pop Century to Beach Club will be a pretty easy one :yay:

Oh my word!! LOL! Was that stuff hard to shampoo out? Mikella would love this! :thumbsup2 They are adorable!!!

Thanks! The worst part about washing it out is that it gets all over the bathtub! I always worry about clogging the drains at Pop

All the lil girls look so adorable with the color and sparkling pixie dust in their hair, I just love love love it !!!

Thanks! :goodvibes

Now THERE'S a great idea I hadn't thought of before.....a power strip!!!! Although this trip will just be Mikella and I, so we won't have the overwhelming amount of electronics to plug in, but still.....between my iPhone charger, Mac charger, camera charger, Mikella's DSi charger..... Thanks! :flower3:

Ok, who wants to help me with ideas for my exit essay exam for my English class?? We were just given our generalized topic, which coincidentally, is about DISNEY!!!! HA!! These professors don't know who they're dealing with! :cool1: The topic is about how Disney portrays females in their movies. I need specific movies, characters, and how you think they are portrayed....examples of both good and bad portrayals since I'm not sure which "angle" we are going to have to take with this. (Won't know till I show up for the exam on Wednesday evening.) They are just giving us a few days to think about it. We can't bring notes to the exam or anything. So......come on September travelers!! I need your help! Lets start a list! Anything goes....as long as it's a Disney movie and female character! :grouphug:

I'll start with one good and one bad:

Hercules- Meg: sex symbol, helpless, submissive

Mulan- Mulan: overcame all odds, independent, strong-willed "Women can do anything men can do" attitude.

We do the ziploc bags too! lol. I did it for mine and my daughters outfits last time. It made it so much easier to just grab a bag and know everything was in that was needed for the day.!. And just put the dirty stuff back in at the end of the day. :thumbsup2

Oh this is a tough one, as so many of the earlier female characters are entwined in the helpless damsel in distress always looking for her prince to rescue her....sexism anyone? And the body type issues., why is Belle the thinnest princess and then you have Lilo's sister finally showing some womanly waist line and bottom. And of course there is the racism of the early years...but now we have Pochantas, Mulan, Lilo, and lastly Tiana.

It should be interesting the different ways one interpretes this assignment and differing opinions.

Amy heres one not sure if this is what you are looking for exactly:

Belle - strengths - intelligent, book smart which Disney portrays as making her different, being strange, weird, unlike everyone else in the movie. They also have all the other women swooning over what's his name..lol..the big dumb hunter guy...and him being interested in Belle but only for her beauty. I like that Belle is strong enough in herself that she sees she has more to offer and receive than just being a baby maker and house keeper.

We will be at ASMU Sept 27th - Oct 7th!! CANNOT WAIT!!!! Anniversary trip, and our 15th falls on the same day as Walt Disney World's 40th..WAHOO!!!:yay:

Holy cow it seems like I know I have a lot to do, and yet not much is getting done LOL I got Tangled shirts for the girls for MK day (does anyone know if they make Flynn shirts???)

I still need to make 'must do' lists for each part but I do believe I have our budget figured out..... I have about $300 per day for us to spend, which should be plenty.....

My mom will be here next week, so I think after that I'm really going to get down to planning b/c I will have a 'free' month till June 20 :D

Everyones pics are SO CUTE!!! I really need to figure out an easy way to post pics here LOL
