I found some pictures of her Splash Mountain. She also made a swimming pool for all the animals another day.

I love when mousekeeping does fun things with the animals. We got back to our room at AKL late one trip and I was really confused because I heard the tv on in the room. I thought someone had gotten in our room.

:scared1:

We walked in and all of DD's animals were hanging out at the foot of one of the beds and Mickey Mouse had the remote in his hand. Too funny!!! DD still talks about it.

We used to take about 6-7 animals with us, now each child gets one or two.

Haven Elise, go Virgo power! I got married on my birthday to ensure I'd never forget my anniversary and we celebrated last year at Disney. DH found his button last night in a bag he was packing for an overnight work trip to Kansas City and grinned at me like a loon, knowing we were going to be back this year too!

I need to make my ADR's but I want to see what the park hours will be first.

I will be hauling around two kids and they aren't the most patient people around meal times.

Besides, since we have a large group (6 adults and 2 kiddos) we are planning on doing mostly buffet meals since we have one pre-diabetic, one full diabetic, one adult that eats like a 5 year old and two kids that eat like adults!:rotfl:

(Seriously, my children eat more vegetables than my sister's bf!) The only two non buffet TS meals we are doing are O'hana and Rose and Crown. Oh, how I have dreamed of their scotch eggs with mustard cream sauce. I have made them at home, but they just aren't quite as good. Oh, and the shallot gravy that I tried to lick off my plate to get every last drop of meaty shalloty goodness. Sigh.

Never been to O'hana but it looks like the kids will have a ball with that one AND we can ride the monorail over from Magic Kingdom which will tickle my dad. He's such a monorail geek that he has the electric version at home to play with in between disney trips!

LOL, my dad's a monorail geek too!!!! He was so jealous that I got to see the new Tron monorail last year before he did!! I downloaded a ringtone that is the monorail "saying" last year and sent it to him. "Please stand clear of the doors.....por favor....blah blah blah" :yay:

Your window is so cute! :thumbsup2

Thank-you! :goodvibes

I love it! During our trip in December, we didn't get any towel animals and my daughter was so disappointed to come back to our room to no surprises. And we tipped, too, so it wasn't like we were being stingy. I love it when they take the girl's toys and place them somewhere neat. That's part of the magic!

I love the little extra "magic" It really was fun for all of us! I hope your daughter gets some towel animals this time!

new September travelers!

Love your window! I think its great when mousekeeping does fun stuff like that. We had the best mousekeeper at POR, she made a Splash Mountain for my kids with all their stuffed animals riding down. It was so cute!

Thanks jbmom! And I love your Splash Mountain pic- it is adorable! So fun!

I limit my DDs to only 1 stuffed animal when we leave for our trip...but then (my youngest especially) ends up buying 5-6 when we're there :cutie:

:headache: Snow. The flowers *just* started blooming here and we have not one but THREE chances of snow in the next 5 days. I told DH this morning that under no circumstances was I moving farther north, ever.

I am originally from Memphis, TN and Missouri just isn't working for me!

I adored the pictures of the stuffed animals! The only time we've ever stayed on property, it was just DH and I so no toys in the room to play with! This time will be different. I am also working out packages to be delivered to the kids right before we leave on our trip.

I figured sunglasses, new disney jammies, homemade pin books for their pins, and maybe new bucket hats with a disney patch on it (mouse ears maybe?). Any other ideas of cool stuff? We don't want to carry too much so the stuff needs to be mostly practical/ or small.

171 days and counting down!:cool1:

My kids can't wait to see the monorail fly by in the Contemporary!! WHERE did you get the Monorail schpeel>????? We rather enjoy the monorail too LOL

We have made little surprise buckets for DDs before...usually one of us gets to the room first to place the surprise Mickey has left for them :)
What about an autograph book, kooky Disney pen, Disney shaped fruit snacks?

We've had 80 degree temps here as well. Once warm weather hits us, we are the type of family who books every weekend with an activity from spring through the new school year in fall! Most weekends are local activities (museums, fairs, etc.--we try not to repeat any activities), but about once a month it's a larger trip. This month, we are leaving Friday to visit family in Ohio. We've never been, so we are so excited. Next month, it's to the beach at Wilmington, NC. In June, we are going to Tennessee. In August, we leave for the Disney Cruise in the Bahamas and WDW! It helps me not wish the summer away because then we'd miss all the fun weekends along the way!

Where do you live in NC? When I married my oldest 2 kids' father we lived out at Camp LeJeune for 4 years. They were both born out there! LOVE the Carolinas!!!!:lovestruc

Temps are in the 30s here in Chicago with snow flurries. Yuck. I so wish Spring would just get here and stay! This has been one of the worst winters here...with the Blizzard of 2011 and the sheer amount of snow we have had

I've got to think warmer thoughts :beach:

I'm the same way! I limit her to bringing ONE. My DD always wants to buy a bunch of "stuffies" as she calls them at each and every park!! :sad2:

Ugh! Same weather here, couple hours south of Chicago in the QC! Boo for this crappy weather!

Can someone share how to make a pin book?? I really don't like the lanyard b/c we've had pins fall off!!! I may invest in locking pins for the kiddos favs but I'm thinking we could make a family one with one page per family member and then a 'stuff to trade' page.....

I'm going to make a list of stuff to get the kiddos pre trip to give them when we get there now pixiedust:

Well, it's been a year since I downloaded it, but I think I can find it for you.....let me check!

Thank you!!!

BTW, when we stayed at AKL we didn't get any towel animals either..... my kiddos were saddened by the lack of friends... lol.... maybe we'll get some in the next stay :cheer2:

I'm doing the same, and trying not to wish summer away before it arrives fully. It's well on its way for us, though, it's been in the 80s for the last three days here! Luckily, we live pretty close to the ocean, so I have two different countdowns going...184 days until Disney, but only 36 until we hit Myrtle Beach!:jumping1:

Where do you live in SC?? We vacation there every summer!! Wild Dunes Resort, Isle of Palms, SC is our "home away from home" for a week every June!! My dad and step-mom always rent a huge beach house and all 5 of us kids, along with OUR kids spend the week together out there! I actually look forward to the 16 hour drive every year, lol! It's such beautiful scenery and I LOVE going through the mountains!! We usually spend a day or two in the Smoky's on our way home too! I was JUST responding to another post on here saying my 2 oldest kids were born at Camp LeJeune, NC. We lived out there for 4 years while the ex hubby was USMC. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the Carolinas!!

Thank you!!!

Phonezoo!! Here's a link to the ringtones!

There are actually a few more of them on there now as well. Check it out. I love that site because they are all free! FYI: We also downloaded the Mickey horn (Disney Cruise Line) last year too if you are a DCL freak like I am! ; )
I have to admit, I used this ringtone for awhile before our WDW trip last April. It was hilarious to see people get a strange look on their faces when my phone would "ring". :rotfl:
